  1. Are you talking about OLB in any defense, or just the 4-3?
  2. There actually is such a thing. Discrimination is not typically defined as just anyone discriminating against anyone, it is a majority group discriminating against a minority group. Reverse discrimination is when the minority group discriminates against the majority group.
  3. Not really. It isn't very difficult to get away from a big, dumb frat brother who currently see's two of you. I don't know what it was about my campus, but it seemed like being overwight and dumb was a requirement for the fraternities around there.
  4. Find the parties where they collect your money INSIDE. My friends and I used to go there, stand outside the door, pretend like we lived there, and charged the dumb freshman $5 to enter. We'd sometimes make $50 before anyone inside would realize and chase us away.
  5. Lets hope Stallworth doesn't kill an animal instead of a human, he might end up in prison for a year instead of just 24 days.
  6. That's a very interesting article. I can't help but think their design of the 3-4 would have been used more had the roster size not limited the ability to have more linebackers.
  7. That's not what was said. He said Maybin CAN'T play OLB. I asked how does he know. He said because he's never done it before. I never said anything about assuming he could, or even saying that I thought he could. I just asked how he would know what Maybin could or could not play.
  8. There isn't a fullback used in the wildcat formation...
  9. Ah, the old absence of evidence = false statement argument. Go back to high school, my man.
  10. Dean, I think you misunderstood. 1.) I talked about our personnel in a 3-4 defense. 2.) Todd quoted me and criticized me for wanting to switch defenses. 3.) Since I never said that, and actually said the opposite, I replied and told him he clearly didn't read the thread. 4.) You then responded, and said Todd was right. (you meant he was right about it not being a good idea to switch this year, but in contrast to Todd and I going back and forth, I took it as Todd was right that I said we should).
  11. Probably because he quoted my post, and then criticized me for "wanting" to switch to the 3-4 defense months before the season...
  12. Two people "reading" the thread, both missing this on the very first page... I'm not advocating us switching defenses next year, let alone this year. I was saying that we're not as far off personnel wise as one of the posters was saying.
  13. Actually, Williams played at DE last year for us at times. I think he's more athletic than Stroud. Stroud is very stiff.
  14. You clearly have not read any of the thread. Nice job.
  15. Or... maybe they can melt him down into a toy, and let the kids play with HIM for a change!
  16. Probably because you've seen your own nutsack, and can imagine a bunch of those together to form a bunch? Maybe had you decided to participate in the TBD book swap, you'd have gotten one with pictures in it for you
  17. I'd probably have Kelsay - Stroud - Williams.
  18. TBD book drive? The only books the people around here read are Dr. Seuss and Playboy magazines.
  19. Like who? We have defensmen, but no real puck moving defensmen with the mobility Sekera has. He has good potential.
  20. I honestly don't think it would take that long, and I don't think you'd have to wipe every player off our defense now in exchange for other players. Just because these players haven't played in the 3-4 doesn't mean that they CAN'T play in the 3-4. It's a puzzle. See who fits, see who doesn't, and make the changes where it is necessary. Some players will fit, some won't. I think if you bring in the right coaches who can get to the players, it wouldn't necessarily be 3 years of nothing before you start seeing progress.
  21. The reason I include Sekera is because he's young, cheap, and has potential. What would it hurt for a team to take a shot at him and barely having to give up any compensation?
  22. I'm kind of disappointed the Sabres didn't get a deal done with Stafford and/or Sekera before the start of free agency. I think we do have a little money to spend wisely, but that will all go when another team signs Stafford to a bigger contract and we're forced to match. I believe a team can offer Drew $2.5 mil a year and it only garners a 2nd round pick as compensation. You can't lose Stafford for a 2nd rounder, you've got to match. Darcy made it clear they were not attempting to get Drew signed before the start of free agency. I think he's hoping he'll sign him for less, but I really doubt that's going to happen. Stafford is a 23 year old winger, that has the size and talent, was a former 1st round pick, and has shown flashes of his great potential potential. I highly doubt Stafford will not attract attention from teams around the league. I think any small amount of money we had to spend will likely have to be used to match offers to keep Stafford and/or Sekera away from other teams. Hopefully we can move a few guys off our squad to get some cap relief, such as Tallinder and Hecht, but I'm not holding out any hope. Darcy said they haven't found the right deal yet, but I'm not sure why. If you can even find teams willing to take their salaries, why wouldn't you basically give them away? The only thing they add to this franchise is a headache and cap constraint. That money could be used elsewhere. What do you think happens?
  23. He's not moving to WR, he's practicing with them. The Bills know his greatest asset to our offense this year is his passing game ability. They are just trying to maximize that right now. He's still going to create mismatches lined up in the slot.
  24. Not sure about this contractually, but isn't the big money in rookie contracts all up front, while the rest of their actual annual salary is very marginal? If that is so, I believe Denver would have already paid him out his guaranteed money.
