  1. My story comes from a preseason probably about 69. It was a kickoff return. The guy carrying the ball was behind 3 guys on the ground when out of nowhere some guy leaps head first over the 3 guys on the ground and tackles the ball carrier. I thought to myself, wow I'm going to keep my eye on that guy. Turns out it was Robert James, who still may be one of the best players the Bills have ever had.
  2. I believe that was Favre's cold weather record before tonights game. Just goes to show you the all QB's have games in which they suck. If he was the Buffalo QB, some would be calling for his head now.
  3. Your the commodity a temp agency sells to make money. I am no expert but I doubt it will hurt you.
  4. First, the Browns couldn't run the ball. And that meant the Bills could Tee Off on the QB. Next their receivers had a fair amount of dropped passes. Nothing like putting more pressure on your QB. To compensate the QB took risks he should have not taken. Leading to turnovers. Lastly, they managed to get penaltys at the worse possible tiime. And if that doesn't describe the early season Bills, I don't know what does.
  5. And just what year did the Bills win a Superbowl with Kelly? This post is very odd even for you since more than once on this board you lamented that you would just love to have Kelly back. This post looks like a direct attack against JK since it fits Kelly to a tee.
  6. The Bills have a long history of "playing down" to their opponent. Not many opportunities for that of late, but I think the game will be a lot closer than you would expect.
  7. Marv had the best talent in the league and couldn't win a SB. The Bills do not have the best talent.
  8. I agree John Carpenter's "The Thing" is about as good as science fiction gets. It is one of my favorites although I doubt I could pick an all time favoite. But it is my all time favorite remake. Never thought they could do the original justice, but they did.
  9. I just bought this book on Ebay from a guy named Billy Joe. It's never been opened!!!
  10. Your looking like a Kinks fan to me.
  11. Is that the one by LIttle Jimmy Boyd??
  12. They threw Watson to the wolves and the wolves were better for it.
  13. That pretty much matched my feelings in 1990 and 1991.
  14. Wow, is this line ever true! He seems to forget he was as optimistic as he is now pessimistic about RJ and Bledsoe when they first got here. But thanks for the laugh. It is good to start the day on a laugh.
  15. Somehow I can see the Sunbelt cities tapping into that water source. The Federal Gov would probably accomodate them for the "greater good."
  16. I guess that sums it up, your inability to recognize fact from opinion.
  17. She's just building material for her next book, "Prison Cooking, how to prepare and actually obtain ingrediates when incarcerated."
  18. When Kelly was not resigned, he had no arm. He could not make the sideline throw. He also couldn't run. It was time. Also, that team had no where near the talent the team of the early 90's had. And Jim Kelly was one of the benefactors of all that talent. And the comment on Tasker. Kelly always said Tasker could get open with anyone covering him. So playing him may not have been the big drop off you say it was. One thing Kelly preserved is the image of himself as a all-time great QB. If he stuck around another year I would probably have the same image of him as I do of Jack Kemp. You seem to forget your two year campaign here on how great RJ was. Guess that didn't work out. When they signed Bledoe, it was the same thing. You said it was one of the greatest moves the Bills ever made. Now you tell us that didn't work out. Maybe you should quit promoting JP. You may be some kind of QB curse.
  19. Come on, I don't think that many TBD'ers will show up at your door.
  20. Well at least I figured they haven't won very often. So I thought I would use google and hunt down their performance. Here is the list since 1980. 1980- W, W Loss in playoffs 1981- W 1982 - 1983- L 1984- L 1985- L 1986- 1987- L 1988- W 1989- L,L 1990- 1991- W 1992- W,L 1993- 1994- 1995- L 1996- L 1997- 1998- L 1999- L 2000- W 2001- L,L 2002- 2003- That makes them 7 and 14. So it has been pretty difficult for them to win on the West coast. Consider the travel involved and the change of venue, I don't think this is too surprising. And a close look at the years, shows they didn't do that great when they had great teams and a great QB. So the Bills will be very lucky to split the Seattle and SF games. If they win both they deserve Kudo's, because they haven't done that since 1980.
  21. I thought he took DB out because "they shoot horses don't they."
  22. I just saw the replay on ESPN. You can see it on the original view. And Clements hits the guy going at full bore. Should make the big hits highlites.
  23. I think this is the play that gave one of their DB's a concusion. I think you can only see it on the replay which is at a different angle.
  24. That is pretty close to my feelings on the situation. Too many here think the QB has to win every game. Not one of em in the league does.
