  1. This "IS" life as a Bills fan.
  2. For every success, there may well be 5 failures but that may hold true for experienced coaches also.
  3. Is the lockport location closing?
  4. You just put your finger on the problem, we are in Bizarro world.
  5. I always say you can't take away what a guy has accomplished but in Marv's case I would also say, he had the most talented team in the NFL in two of the 4 super bowl years and couldn't win a SB. And as far as Marv picking coaches, he did pick Walt Corey.
  6. I find that quote hard to believe it is so un-TD like. Some think there was some bad blood. Maybe TD is just starting to feel the heat. Neither TD or MM will be looked upon highly if DB succeeds. To make matters worse, I read here going into the season that Dallas' line was worse that ours last year. Looks like Parcell's new how to fix that or even more importantly, understood it was important.
  7. Here is a copy of the Bills record on the West Coast. I posted it last year but thought it might be good to repost it. BTW, notice that last year they won both games out west. 1980- W, W Loss in playoffs 1981- W 1982 - 1983- L 1984- L 1985- L 1986- 1987- L 1988- W 1989- L,L 1990- 1991- W 1992- W,L 1993- 1994- 1995- L 1996- L 1997- 1998- L 1999- L 2000- W 2001- L,L 2002- 2003- 2004-W,W
  8. No you are correct. I should have phrased it differently. The Bills under Jack Kemp made the playoffs and won their last game of the season. There was no one left to beat under the circumstances. I should have said something to that affect.
  9. DId he mention what the IQ was of those that listen to sports radio talk shows?
  10. How did this post get talking about Jim Kelly? Anyway, I don't think any of the DB supporters here ever thought he was the guy to carry the entire team on his back. And truely, I don't think I can name a QB who can do that or has done that on a consistant basis. They have all had help, if help only means the team would actually catch catchable balls. What they thought was given decent support, DB could win. And I believe the last half of last year proved that. There were games he didn't play well but in each of those games, other aspects of the Bills also failed. BTW, to those who say DB would never lead the Bills to a championship, I would like to remind them that only one QB ever lead the Bills to a championshipand that was JK. That JK being Jack Kemp.
  11. I agree with you on James, my all-time favorite Bill. If you saw him play, you knew he was the best CB the Bills ever had. One thing about covering guys, he covered them. No zone. Back then it was bump and run and he was as good as anyone ever was at it. On top of that, he hit as hard as anyone on the team. An absolute great tackler. He would have made the HOF if 1) he wasn't on some of the worse Bills teams of all time. 2) He would have played longer. Dam knee injury.
  12. It just occurred to me. You do know I was being sarcastic with that first post, don't you.
  13. Its one of the few things making this year interesting.
  14. You forgot to mention he hasn't won any games that really meant anything.
  15. and you still barely win the game. SCARY.
  16. Ah, another Ralph is cheap post. If you think that the coaches are underpaid, prove it. What is this some unproven rumor? Do you think TD is underpaid? If you are going to complain about the OC, remember Clements wasn't the first choice. So blame MM and TD for picking him. The change in QB's isn't really that unpredicatable. What is the purpose of TD and MM? To win!! And my particular take is always, winning puts fans in the standium, which secures the GM's job. So they don't think JP starting is giving them the best chance to win. Well, probably more than 80% of the fans don't think so either at this point. They were shooting craps when they made JP the starter in came up with snake-eyes. Maybe in time he will be ok, but not now. So the my last word on Ralph is this. He's old, he doesn't have much time left. I am sure he would spend the money to get him his championship. But as the NY Rangers have proven over the last 5 years. It is one thing to spend money,it's another thing to spend it wisely.
  17. Where did I get the idea that Wade's teams quit, where else, TBD. That was one of the major topics here his last year. And unfortunately, it culminated with his words about winning in the last games that year. I can't remember them exactly so I won't even attempt to repeat them, but I know I should not be the only one here that remembers them. On top of that, I remember reading that in GW's first year, there were comments like "well at least his teams play hard." Maybe none of the responders to my original post had that mind set but believe me, that topic was second only to Wade not wearing a headset.
  18. that I read earlier below somewhere is interesting. The one thing I seem to remember about Wade's teams were they seemed to quit. About the only thing good I can remember about GW teams is that they never quit. Why mention this? This team is looking like one of Wade's teams.
  19. The Bills should hire you as a consultant.
  20. Remember just last week when posters were complaining about JP's second sneak. When you have McGahee use him, yada yada yada. This defense can't make a stop when they have to. What do you think the opposition is going to do when they have the ball and the lead at the end of the game. You know its coming and they still can't stop it. This was the same as they were all last year. A playoff team should be able to stop this at least once in a while.
  21. If he completed a few of them, he might get to throw a little more.
  22. I'm not sure what period your referencing but I was thinking the 68 to 71 teams. This team surely will never compare to them,TG.
  23. If they lose the next 5, they won't even be the worst team in Bills History!! A few here have lived through it. It really isn't that bad yet.
  24. as Michigan can't win without him. Mike's day
