  1. How about some links! Several bits of information from different people here and no links.
  2. Nicely said. Where is that thumbs up smiley?
  3. If memory serves me correctly, that was the year the Bills were beating the Fins late in the game. Some Manny Fernandez,a fin Defensive Lineman, took the ball on a handoff and scored for the Fins D. I can still hear Van saying, how could you hand off to a Defensive lineman. I wish I could see a replay of that. Anyone else here remember that play?
  4. I missed most of the game but I did hear the anouncers say, MM said he thought the Bills stood a better chance of winning without him.
  5. Next year they can both co-ordinators. That will buy MM at least one more year.
  6. I watched him on ESPN today. They had a story on the Bengal receiver Johnson. So MI says something to the affect, Johnson plays like he has a chip on his shoulder but he has learned to only have a chip on his shoulder on the field, JUST LIKE I DID. Ha. Sure.
  7. After you reach a certain age, the second day after is worse than the first. You can tell us tomorrow if you have reached that level.
  8. Ralph has more money than he can spend. He doesn't have a superbowl win. So what do you think his priorities are??? This is basically another Ralph is cheap post and it has been proven he is not. In the 90's when you could sign players with bonus money and there was no cap, Ralph ponyed up. Today, they spend to the cap limit, so I don't know how you could say he is cheap.
  9. Well I made it to page 6 without writing but I guess I couldn't go any farther. You credit Williams and Donovan with the Cowboy win. I'll bet you credit the Redskin win against Dallas to DB, even though it was the Dallas defense that gave up the two long touchdown passes at the end of the game to lose it. And while we are at it, you really shouldn't give any credit to JP for the win this weekend. After all Green absolutely sucked at QB. Of course, it may be because he is behind the worse line in the league at the moment, but why go there. The QB is only one piece of the pie. I'd like to see Brady play behind that KC line.
  10. This "IS" life as a Bills fan.
  11. For every success, there may well be 5 failures but that may hold true for experienced coaches also.
  12. Is the lockport location closing?
  13. You just put your finger on the problem, we are in Bizarro world.
  14. I always say you can't take away what a guy has accomplished but in Marv's case I would also say, he had the most talented team in the NFL in two of the 4 super bowl years and couldn't win a SB. And as far as Marv picking coaches, he did pick Walt Corey.
  15. I find that quote hard to believe it is so un-TD like. Some think there was some bad blood. Maybe TD is just starting to feel the heat. Neither TD or MM will be looked upon highly if DB succeeds. To make matters worse, I read here going into the season that Dallas' line was worse that ours last year. Looks like Parcell's new how to fix that or even more importantly, understood it was important.
  16. Here is a copy of the Bills record on the West Coast. I posted it last year but thought it might be good to repost it. BTW, notice that last year they won both games out west. 1980- W, W Loss in playoffs 1981- W 1982 - 1983- L 1984- L 1985- L 1986- 1987- L 1988- W 1989- L,L 1990- 1991- W 1992- W,L 1993- 1994- 1995- L 1996- L 1997- 1998- L 1999- L 2000- W 2001- L,L 2002- 2003- 2004-W,W
  17. No you are correct. I should have phrased it differently. The Bills under Jack Kemp made the playoffs and won their last game of the season. There was no one left to beat under the circumstances. I should have said something to that affect.
  18. DId he mention what the IQ was of those that listen to sports radio talk shows?
  19. How did this post get talking about Jim Kelly? Anyway, I don't think any of the DB supporters here ever thought he was the guy to carry the entire team on his back. And truely, I don't think I can name a QB who can do that or has done that on a consistant basis. They have all had help, if help only means the team would actually catch catchable balls. What they thought was given decent support, DB could win. And I believe the last half of last year proved that. There were games he didn't play well but in each of those games, other aspects of the Bills also failed. BTW, to those who say DB would never lead the Bills to a championship, I would like to remind them that only one QB ever lead the Bills to a championshipand that was JK. That JK being Jack Kemp.
  20. I agree with you on James, my all-time favorite Bill. If you saw him play, you knew he was the best CB the Bills ever had. One thing about covering guys, he covered them. No zone. Back then it was bump and run and he was as good as anyone ever was at it. On top of that, he hit as hard as anyone on the team. An absolute great tackler. He would have made the HOF if 1) he wasn't on some of the worse Bills teams of all time. 2) He would have played longer. Dam knee injury.
  21. It just occurred to me. You do know I was being sarcastic with that first post, don't you.
  22. Its one of the few things making this year interesting.
  23. You forgot to mention he hasn't won any games that really meant anything.
  24. and you still barely win the game. SCARY.
