  1. He died of cancer in this century. I am not buds with him but I think he lived pretty damn good.
  2. I'm thinking of a white, male, who is dead.
  3. For some reason I want to say James Stewart, but I have no idea why.
  4. He wasn't a musician but played one. That rules out Cab. There is also still Gene? Krupa. I don't know who played Glenn Miller in the Glenn Miller movie or Gene in his movie, so I couldn't guess them. I thought we were not suppose to look things up. So he is looking for the actor that played them. There may be others, but those are the only two other movies about musicians I can recall. I also like swing. If you ever get a chance to see a band called Voodoo Daddy, use it. I saw them at Turning Stone casino and they were great.
  5. They were nuns. That must be why you are thanking him right now.
  6. This is a long shot. When I was in first grade, the class saw a movie, I think the name of it was "the life of Benny Goodman." If that wasn't the name of it, that is what it was about. I always thought the guy looked like Steve Allen but I saw the movie on TV in the last couple of years and I thought I was wrong. No doubt in my mind who the leading lady was in that movie. So I am guessing Steve Allen, but I don't think he ever won an award for that. Maybe TV. By the way, I saw a drummer movie back then also. I know the drummer but I have no idea who played him.
  7. Did he play a classical musician, rock musician or a jazz/swing musician.?
  8. If Marrone is in charge of making toast, he will be blaming the guy that baked the bread.
  9. I wonder if the pics have a GPS info on them? I also wonder if the GPS system works when you are flying?
  10. Did he ever play in a movie with Kirk Douglas?
  11. Did the actor die young?
  12. Musician?
  13. Billy Jean Moffitt. This was her name before marriage. Her brother was Randy Moffitt. He was famous in two circles. He played for the San Francisco Giants, and the second circle was the pitching mound, as he was a pitcher. He also played for the Asto's and Blue Jays. I was going to use that but I didn't think it would help anyone. One thing that did occur to me is that if you were not living during the period, you are at a big disadvantage. Not sure how to overcome that but oddly if you were to pick an actor, actress or musician from the last 20 years, I wouldn't have any idea. Seems that at about age 50 remembering who was in what just doesn't register. Who were you thinking about when you asked about the haircut? That actually raised a question, since the 60's who was known for their hair style. I could only come up with Farrah Faucet, Dorothy Hamill and Princess Di.
  14. That is correct. I was going to use the clue " she had a brother who in some circles was famous." Any idea who that was? I thought maybe too obscure. Oddly enough I learned about him from Howard Cosell. My next clue was going to be " she was famous/infamous for an event she rigged." I saved it for last as I thought it too obvious. Congrats, you are up.
  15. It was his release that made him a pain in the *** to defend. I can't count the number of times I thought he would get sacked and did not. Sport is funny. Maybe if he was a Bill, the Bills would not have gone to any Super Bowls. It comes down to performing when you have to, not running up a bunch of stats.
  16. I can see how she fits but no it is not her. New clue. I always thought it was odd that an athlete would associate herself with smoking but maybe back then almost everyone did.
  17. Not to my knowledge.
  18. I was thinking of people to use and I thought of her? Would have been a good one but no, wrong person.
  19. No it was not. 15 minutes more and I will retire for the night.
  20. During her career she was known by more than one name.
  21. She may have been but it is not what she is known for.
  22. No she is not.
