Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
gonzo1105 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will thanks I want you to explain to me which high end talent outside of Tyreek Hill walked from their roster please share cause that all you got for me. Their roster is arguably the strongest its ever been in its entire run top to bottom. The general reasoning I'm getting is the Bills were banged up this year. I'm guessing your going to tell me the combo of Hill/Kelce/Mahomes was the reason the Bills didn't get by them in the past which then essentially what your telling me is that the Chiefs have had better talent historically and now. Which was my original point but thanks for input. -

I fully agree with this. To me if McDuffie is 1 and Johnson is 2 than there is a big gap between 1 and 2. -

How am I lurking? I created this thread. Of course I'm going to read every post on something that I created. -
I hate the mock draft simulators mostly because they have outdated player rankings and people take them as factual value of players and B word and moan as guys they saw in these things continue to fall.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year

It has to be one or the other man. You first said that the Bills and Chiefs roster are close and that you would actually lean towards the Bills but then in this post you state that Mahomes is afforded the luxury of having a great defense and top end players (Chris Jones). I get you'll fall back on the bills injuries this year but then what are the excuses for the 2021 and 2022 seasons on why the Chiefs made it further when the Bills weren't ravaged by injuries and have a roster that you think is slightly better? -

We say this every year, with some type of excuse on why the Bills didn't get past the Chiefs, but every year nothing changes and the Chiefs are where the Bills want to be. The sole argument you have is that McDermott has been here the whole time and he's not as good as Reid which I don't think anyone would doubt. -

They had injuries including tonight. They were missing Joe Thuney and Derrick Nnadi a starting Guard and DT. They missed Pacheco for a couple of games. Didn't have Bolton for a stretch of the season. -
First lets start by saying I hate their guts if only because of how good they are every year and they most years eliminate our Buffalo Bills. I will also fully recognize that probably this post will get crapped on by most Bills fans but the truth hurts sometimes. This post will be an extension of another poster bringing it up but the reason why the Chiefs win every year is because they have the most top end players and coaching in the league and they always show up when the lights are the brightest. Patrick Mahomes- Is the best QB in the league. Comes through 95% of the time with the game on the line and very rarely fails come playoff time. Josh Allen is a very close 2nd but doesn't have the supporting cast that he does. Creed Humphrey/Joe Thuney, Trey Smith- Individually 2 out of the 3 could be in the argument for the best Center and Guard at their positions in the league and collectively are definitely the best interior line in football. Travis Kelce- Maybe not the best TE this season and was shut down very early in the Super Bowl but as the game rolled on there was his presence. No bigger than the 22 yard scamper down the sideline to tie the game at the end of regulation. 9 catches for 93 yards. Chris Jones- Maybe not huge on the stat line tonight but affected the pass and run game all night for the Chiefs. Makes the QB get off their mark. Cost the Bills at go ahead TD in the divisional game, harrassed Jackson and Purdy in both of the other games. Trent McDuffie- All over the field making tons of plays and have sticky coverage. He might be the best slot CB in the league and he is still very young. Played great tonight. L'Jarius Sneed- For the most part was good tonight besides giving up the TD to Jennings which was even still pretty good coverage. Gave up 1 TD all season long and could arguably considered the best outside CB in the NFL. Harrison Butker- Guy has been as good if not better than Justin Tucker these last couple of seasons and there he was again tonight burying at 57 yards FG and then hitting the 28 yarder to get the game into OT. Tucker probably still the best Kicker but to me its 1A and 1B. Andy Reid/Steve Spagnuolo- They continue to make adjustments at halftime and win games for their team. Spagnuolo was getting gashed early in the game in multiple ways but essentially shut down the 49ers offense in the 2nd half. The Chiefs also held the Bills to 7 second half points and completely shut down the Ravens in the AFC title game. This doesn't even include the plethora of really good other players that they have including Pacheco, Rice, Karlaftis, Nnadi, Bolton, Gay, Justin Reid, and Townsend. To me for the Bills, to get to the Chiefs level, they need to acquire more high end talent. It is simply amazing to me that Josh Allen has almost single handedly willed this Bills franchise to wins against the Chiefs in the playoffs. The Bills have talented players besides Allen but not to the level that the Chiefs. You can argue for Bills guys sure but at most positions the Chiefs have a guy who is better with the exception of LB and WR.

Any coach that isn't with a franchise QB isn't going to be as successful in the NFL. QB's make coaches not the other way around. Look at how many QB's gave guys jobs including Tom Brady who not only kept Belichick employed but also got numerous assistants HC jobs that they failed at because they didn't have Tom Brady. Adam Gase with Peyton Manning, Nathaniel Hackett with Aaron Rodgers. The list goes on and on.

Gunner's 2024 Mock Draft - FINAL v3.0 NOW LIVE (p.13)

He doesn’t separate from DBs, he will likely run slower and his contested drop rate was high for a guy who doesn’t separate he needs to win those -
Any Chance of Playing Some 4- 3 Next Year?
gonzo1105 replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually think it’s a possibility if Williams reaches his potential. I don’t think they would use it all the time but all 3 LBs would be extremely athletic coverage LBs who can spy mobile QBs and cover TES and RBs. Johnson has had a lot of injuries and wonder how much his body can hold up in the long run -
The whole DT rotation has to be stabilized. We literally have 1 guy under contract right now

Should the Bills trade up for their own “Julio Jones”
gonzo1105 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here’s the thing. If you want a Julio Jones you need to either get MH, Odunze, Nabers(who I think is slightly overhyped). Those guys are probably all gone by the top 10. That means we’re giving up 1 and 2 this year and 1 next year for probably Nabers. I don’t think there is a guarantee Nabers ends up being significantly better with Allen than say a Brian Thomas, Adonai Mitchell etc. This team is one of the oldest in the NFL and needs to infuse young talent on its roster. Those 10 picks are huge for the future of this team and I think it’s very possible for the first time in forever that 8 or 9 guys make this roster as rookies -
He’s my favorite player in this years draft from FSU. He is a penetrating 3 Tech who actually would fit McDermotts defense really well and then type of player McDermott would like. As for is he worth the 3rd round pick. Absolutely, we’ll be drafting end of round 3 and need depth behind Oliver. 3rd round guys should be rotational guys that can start down the line. Settle is gone and Phillips is probably gone so as of right now there is no backup 3 Tech
-
No he’s not bad but you can tell the tread is wearing thin and he doesn’t have good lateral agility in the hole anymore
-
I agree, looked great but man that guy looked stiff moving laterally in practices that I saw this week.
-
McConkey just tears up DBs in one on one’s. He’s one of those guys that I don’t care how he tests. I want him on my team. Matches the tape as well. He’ll prob go round 2 but could be a sneaky late round 1 guy

Daniel Jeremiah top 50 prospects . Who are the Bills drafting?
gonzo1105 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
He apparently struggled on Day 1 of the Senior Bowl today. I actually could see Buffalo waiting on WR until the 2nd or 3rd due to the absolutely loaded amount of talent at WR this year. They are going to need some guys in the secondary, DT, DE, and possibly Center as well that could go in round 1. Kam Kitchens is a very real possibility for Buffalo at 28 and he would be a very good pick same for Cooper DeJean. Jackson Powers Johnson would be a very solid 1st round pick and the future Center for Buffalo if picked at 28 as well. -
Gunner's 2024 Mock Draft - FINAL v3.0 NOW LIVE (p.13)
gonzo1105 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Benson is a round 4 guy. He has really poor vision. He tends to want to hit it big and dance sideways instead of hitting the hole. Once he gets going he’s a load but that’s the hard part for him. I understand every draft is different but I loved Chase Brown who I thought was a better prospect than Benson and he went around 4 -
Well he’s already been overhyped. Listed at 6’3 and he measured at the senior bowl at 6’1. Not that that’s terrible but not a good indicator of inflated measurable in the future
-
Id argue that it’s not Beanes doing. Typically the scouts have big say in Day 3 picks and the GM is more of the first two days. Beane gets the credit but it’s the scouts doing all the leg work on those guys

Guy ain’t running in the 4.2s cmon people really going to believe this
