Could go high round 2 but is a bit high is what I said. How is that me hyping him as a sure fire high 2nd rounder.
-
I believe that Fiske goes higher than 60. Just too impressive tape and testing to get that far down. He legit could go early round 2 though that might be high. i don’t disagree with you but if the hope is to get an edge difference maker you need to take one at 28
-
There isn’t a Safety in this draft outside of DeJean who I would draft at 60 let alone 28
-
I disagree we have 3 DEs in our rotation. We will probably take one in the draft or sign a vet at some point at DE but they literally like to play 8 lineman and we only have Oliver and Jones at DT. We literally have nothing behind them and historically Beane hasn’t taken 1 NT in the draft yet. I’m not saying Fiske in particular but someone on the DL whether DT or DE but I’m not sure there is a DE worthy of a mid 2nd rounder. I think guys like Chop Robinson and Darius Robinson are going to get pushed up the board and would have to take in round 1
-
Im not advocating for against it but I would now make the argument they are going to go DL in round one and draft a WR in round 2. Beane is also the type of hyperactive guy who is angry he didn’t get the 3rd he was expecting and trades out of round 1, gets it back, takes someone like Coleman or Legette or whomever and then trades up with one of the 4ths from 60 to get a DT like Braden Fiske
-
I and obviously don’t know this but believe they will us him outside more here
-
Im being a jackass I’m on your side here boss but for the last couple weeks I have been told that only a large fast big bodied guy can be drafted and anything else is unacceptable
-
I gave him going 15 to the Colts. Everyone pegs Bowers there but they need a 2nd WR just as bad for Richardson
-
I think they’re a little more clued in on where guys are going to go than you and I. It does matter what their rankings are because they draft for the team not you or anyone else on this board. You can get a Diggs replacement it doesn’t have to be in round 1.
-
You have to look at the depth of the draft honestly. The DE and DT draft drops off big time after the first 5 or so while the WR crop is incredibly deep. I think that’s why the Bills made this move. Said the top 4 WRs are gone and WRs 5-10 let’s say are all similarly graded
-
DT is by far the biggest need. DE we at least have 3 solid ones in Rousseau, Miller, and Epenesa. We literally have 2 DTs on the roster right now.
-
See I like these convos to me if you put Samuel in the slot which is possible than Shakir isn’t playing because last years first round pick Kincaid needs a higher % of snaps than being a traditional Y. it makes more sense to play Samuel outside so Shakir and Kincaid can do what they do best.
-
Id like to know where this X receiver is going to play that’s a first rounder. Got Diggs and Samuel making good money on the outside with Shakir and Kincaid in the slot. Unless you’re playing Samuel in the slot and Shakir isn’t playing. No way we could go with a 5 foot 11 outside WR in the Buffalo cold. I just want someone to piece it together for me since we absolutely have to have one on the field. I actually am glad they added a weapon. I fully expect them to take a WR early but wouldn’t surprise me if that’s in round 2 now. I’d say DT is looking likely and there is a possibility a Newton, Murphy or Fiske(with a trade down)
-
That’s starter money but he’s not a big bodied X receiver so I expect nothing but disappointment from the masses here( Yes I’m being facetious)
-
sorry meant to quote you. Looks like OTC has it between 3 million which qualifies at least for now and 2.6 doesn’t so it’s somewhere between that. Now if more over 3 million contracts get signed it may push 3 million out of the top 32
-
If it’s a high enough base salary yet. It will be close to be honest. If it’s 2 years 6 million yes. If it’s 2 years 5 million with 2 mill in incentives no. Looks like the cutoff is around 2.6 or 2.7 million
-
Will be interesting to see if he qualifies for comp pick. Nothing more than a 7th but that would put us at our max of 4 and Tyrel Dodson is still out there who I’m surprised hasn’t gotten any traction that we know of
-
So unless he runs the fastest 40 time in history you don’t want a guy who’s 6 foot. I think McConkey will be on the board but not much after 28 if he is. I actually have the Bills taking Worthy at 28 right now.
-
Im not. I’m not the guy demanding a big X WR opposite of Diggs like so many. I get the reasoning behind it but I think Allen’s accuracy allows us not to have that guy
-
Im not moving the goal post you literally said you wanted a big WR with track speed who can make contested catches . So what happens if Mitchell is off the board which I think is a possibility? I’m not totally advocating for McConkey. I’m mock drafting rn and don’t have the Bills taking him in my version but if Mitchell is gone where is your next guy that fits that criteria
-
Over the cap which is very accurate is classifying guys at 2.6 as not qualifying this year. They are usually like 95% accurate on their stuff every year. I see what was posted on twitter about 1.79 though so I see what your seeing
-
Jackson just barely meets the threshold for a 6th rounder, I also highly doubt Morrow and Hollins will qualify so I think it’s pretty likely we’re at 3 4,5, and 6 but maybe 7
-
Please explain who the 6’3 220 pound guy with elite hands, track speed, who can separate and has excellent body control will be available at 28. Legette is 6’1, Coleman had iffy contested catch rates, and Mitchell despite his combine numbers hasn’t shown he can separate
-
I only used them because they were off the top of my head. I’m sure if you went through every roster you’ll find teams without traditional Xs, traditional Z receivers and slots. I don’t understand the hesitancy for McConkey but the love for other guys. McConkey was one of the reasons why Mitchell transferred to Texas but a lot of people want Mitchell here it makes no sense. You also stated McConkey was a slot early on but now earlier in this thread said he was a move Z now. What changed since then
