You typically won’t. They, if I recall, send out a press release from the NFL with all claims and best reporters won’t know either because there could be multiple teams putting in claims . Only vested veterans can sign to the PS right now
-
I think the hope is that they can slip Hardy on the PS. We’ll see in a half hour if that is true or not. They prob felt that if he wasn’t worth keeping as a PR guy, that he had no spot rn because he’s not good enough to see the field as a CB I would have tried to trade a DB at the deadline to squeeze him in like a Hamlin or Lewis but the S position isn’t settled because of injuries so that would be hard to do. I also wonder if they weren’t shy about letting him go because if they do lose him they have another promising DB in Couch that they could get on the PS easier.

Who do the Bills want to bring back to the PS?

QB- Mike White (1) RB- Frank Gore Jr, Dillon Johnson (Carolina) or Cody Schrader(49ers) (2) WR- Tyrell Shavers, Deon Cain, Danny Gray (49ers) (3) TE- Tre McKitty (1) OL- Gouriage, Clayton (Exempt), Ja'Tyre Carter (Chicago) (3) DE- Viliami Fehoko (Cowboys) (1) DT- Eli Ankou, Branson Deen (2) LB- Andre Smith Jr. (1) CB- Hardy, Couch (2) S- Kendall Williamson (1) That would be how I'd like to see it. Obviously wont but with what has been out there in the cut world. -
I agree with Ryan, he was playing at the bottom of the depth chart but at least I noticed him making plays. Had a couple close sacks and seemed to have decent movement skills.
-
But Trubisky wont be ready for a couple of weeks so instead of Dinucci being the backup, Mike White will be the backup QB. Its still a good move to get a veteran QB on the PS instead of relying solely on Dinucci in case the PS QB has to play.

Noah Brown worth a look? (now on the way to Washington)
gonzo1105 replied to vanislebills44's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope that’s not the name of the game. This is hypothetical obviously……or is it? -
To be fair we have no idea how good Hardy can be as a CB given time. No one expected Benford or Dane Jackson to start for us when they were drafted

Noah Brown worth a look? (now on the way to Washington)

I kind of want to take a poll on this. How many people would be in favor of a guy like Brown if it meant that Andreessen was the guy coming off the 53 -
You don’t do that man. That’s terrible business and players will remember that. If a guy takes a paycut and is your # 2 TE you don’t do them dirty and turn around and trade them
-
The only thing I can think of when it comes to keeping Evans is they were going to keep him over Johnson as the RB# 3 until he got hurt. From last year it does seem to be that Brady likes utilizing his backs in pass routes so maybe in that regard Evans is a better fit that Johnson be maybe you see some of these RBs in a tight slot or F position during the season, Splitbacks etc. It’s obvious Hardy is seriously injured but did they not like him enough to IR him for the season? That’s where I’m miffed on that one. Morris and Trubisky must only need a week or two or he’s good to go not to IR them. If we were planning on keeping Toohill I’d be interested to see who’s out on waivers. I had mentioned Viliami Fehoko but don’t think he makes it down to our waiver position. I don’t know if this roster is entirely settled at the moment and expect a few call ups to cover injury risk against the Cards
-
You can hate Morrow all you want but he’s an average player who is a veteran and has played real NFL games before with STs value. I tried telling you this when discussing the 53. They don’t feel comfortable having to put in Ulofoshio and Andreessen into a game and Spector is hurt hence why Morrow was kept around. Toohill I agree with you on idk what that is. Hardy must have a handshake deal or something but why not roster him by cutting Ferguson then IR him for the year
-
I think they’re going to wait until everyone is healthy and then trade one of the safeties. You almost have to. At some point Hardy(unless out for the season) is going to make 12 DBs.

I think Buffalo likes blue collar guys that don’t have character concerns. I know your a UGA fan but what the hell is going on down there national championships notwithstanding

UDFA and local boy Joe Andreesson makes Bills roster
gonzo1105 replied to DJB's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I stated in various other threads, if he was going to make the team imo they had to keep 6 and they did. Congrats to the local kid, hope he becomes a STs demon and develops at LB -
Yea more names. I only think McKitty has a shot here to actually make it. I think he’s a better fit than Davidson
-
McKitty hasn’t been let go either yet, Deon Cain technically hasn’t either, and you have 7 but didn’t put down Ulofoshio
-
That’s what I thought about both but 11 is still a ton imo. I know not everyone is healthy so they might wait
-
With the Codrington trade there is no way they are keeping 12 DBs. One or two are going. Has the Edwards release been confirmed?
-
It wouldn’t surprise me on Edwards. Keeping 11 DBs seemed like overkill. I thought they would do it until they could trade one but maybe they did try to move Edwards with no takers
-
I do think it’s very smart to have 3RBs rostered and 2 on the PS with how many injuries happen to the position but we don’t need 4 active plus Gilliam that’s overkill
-
He was fine besides the one play anyone noticed him when he got bulrushed on one rep in the 3rd preseason game. He has position versatility. If the Bills keep 10 OL he’s the guy but I think they keep 9
-
Massare is also off on some stuff so this is by no means a lock to be a factual list
-
He’s saying there are two spots left and those are the guys in consideration. Meaning all the others are cut or have made the team
-
So DTR made the 53 for Cleveland. That means either Winston or Huntley is getting traded or cut in Cleveland. Frankly, I’d call about both to see if I can get one for a late 2026 pick
-
Davidson hasn't done enough imo to be worthy of a spot. I actually think that McKitty is a better fit for what Buffalo wants to do in both the run and pass game. I dont think either make it unless Morris is put on IR but I would take McKitty or Davidson.
