  1. Get healthy and gel as a team is what they need
  2. I never mentioned Hamlin so I’m assuming I was quoted incorrectly. I also pointed out that McDermott didn’t trust Codrington enough in important games last year and preferred to have Shakir return over him late in the season and in the playoff last year while he sat as an inactive player. I gave perfectly good reasoning for why Codrington could be gone. It’s play GM for the say and what you would do. I’d make Shakir the full time returner like he was for the entire 2nd half of the season last year
  3. I’m not saying they are planning on playing him but I’m saying they are going to want him in meetings , involved with game planning and prepping him to get up to speed to be ready to play. Nowhere did I say he was going to play vs the Patriots. Grable they can play the long game with. That was the basis of my point. They keywords was Week 5 prep
  4. We have one more game before a decision has to be made on Grable and Hairston. Granted we can stall that out for an additional 21 days after activating them but I think that is only likely for Grable. I’m sure if Hairston is ready he’ll be back for week 5 prep
  5. Yea the point of the 50 is to cover up and allow your LBs to run free. The weakness to it is it exposes you on the edges especially if you can hook the edge player on the line. The Bills did capitalize on this with sweeps and jet sweep plays much too late imo, but yes Playaction, quick screens, anything to the outside quick would be effective if run correctly
  6. Apparently Jenkins got dinged up as well in the game so if he can’t be called up next week because of injury we only have Ciarlo. It’s unfortunate for Jenkins but if his injury is for any length of time beyond a week you almost have to injury settlement with him and bring in another LB for the PS
  7. I’ve already stated what I would do in numerous other threads. Daquon Jones goes to IR for 4 weeks. Yes, I realize he’s not injured but I think he’s likely to retire at the end of the year and by him getting “injured” we can put him on IR and see if we need him if another DT gets hurt. Also have Logue and Phillips at the PS. Activate Ogunjobi Trade AJ Epenesa. Hoecht will essentially become the # 3 DE which Epenesa is currently occupying and with Epenesa becoming DE 4 he is now blocking the potential development of Solomon and Landon Jackson. Trade him for a late rounder. Activate Hoecht Release Brandon Codrington: Activate Maxwell Hairston. Yup I would release Codrington. He only provides one thing and that is as a Punt returner. He is not valuable enough to keep solely for that particularly with the numbers crunch. People also have to remember he was healthy down the stretch last year and they decided to stick with Khalil Shakir as their Punt Returner down the stretch and he did very well. Place Grable on season ending Injured Reserve: People forget we can activate Grable as well in week 5 which would have to open up a roster spot. In my opinion if you have any doubts about his dome then just let him recover and let Lundt/RVD hold down the backup tackle spots. If Grable is good to go then I think the easy thing to do is try to trade RVD for a late draft pick
  8. I thought he was solid, maybe between him and Milano we can get good LB play between the two for the season but both have incredible trouble staying healthy
  9. Right I don’t think you can use an example of I’d rather have this guy when he also was a high 2nd round pick and he has two catches for two yards this season. Sanders is contributing. Hes on the field, the Bills have been stout against the run the last two games. Is he making splash plays no but he’s doing an average job for a rookie player in his 3rd game.
  10. I wouldn’t get too caught up in Jackson not being active either. It’s a numbers game and Solomon is further along and plays STs. Epenesa was inactive a lot his rookie year? Bishop barely played and by the way last couple of games he hasn’t been bad. Shakir was inactive early etc. it’s not a sign necessarily that Jackson is going to be a useless pick.
  11. I think Daquon Jones is going to come down with a mysterious IR for 4 weeks injury . I also think once Hoecht is back you see AJ Epenesa get traded just my opinion
  12. People need to relax , he’s playing average but he also was a very direct result of Zion Logues sack last week and he’s in his 3rd NFL game. Kincaid is just showing his emergence and he’s now in year 3 . These guys need time to adjust
  13. I don’t know if the Hill catch would have been overturned it was very close . He bobbled it but I’m not sure if the foot wasn’t still on the ground when he got reposition. It was also incredibly early in the game so McDermott might have thought it was too close and too early to take that chance of losing one
  14. They got into a 50 front covering up the Bills offensive line and creeping the Safety down in the box. They essentially committed 8 men in the box on early downs then went soft shell in passing situations. Brady should have gone more playaction in the 2nd half in my opinion on 1st down
  15. Im referring to when the game was tied , and the Dolphins forced us into our own 3rd straight 3 and out before roughing our kicker. They had all the momentum in the game not when Bernard made the INT
  16. On the point of # 2 yes the Dolphins did adjust. They basically on early downs went into a 5 man front with 2 LBs in the box and a safety crept down on early downs. They bottled up Cook inside that’s why you saw the Bills running more toss late in the game. With Cook bottled up and 2nd and 3rd and long they sat in a 2 shell cover 2 look and made Allen take dump downs and they did a good job for the most part getting to the ball carrier quickly to minimize YAC. In addition I don’t think Dawkins and Brown were particularly great at times in pass pro last night
  17. Well first there is never a such thing as nice win….but. Winning is winning no matter how you do it. If the Bills won this game 3-0 tonight there would be 12 threads about how the offense isn’t championship caliber. I mean there is one already about our passing offense struggling when we have put up 41, 30, and 31 and let’s be frank the 30 against the Jets could have been much more. Do the Bills have defensive flaws? Yes I don’t think anyone is going to deny that. One of the things I appreciated about the difference between NFL and College football 20-30 years ago was the NFL had a semblance of defense while college games were 50-24. Unfortunately the NFL has made it so easy for offenses to score in 2025. The ball used to get placed at the 20 and now it’s coming out to the 35. Combine that with all of the rule changes where basically if you touch a QB in the wrong spot or your even remotely tugging a jersey by a Defensive back it’s a 15 yard penalty or a spot foul and you can see why defenses are struggling to stop teams from scoring. Take into the fact that more and more youth players are playing offense and participating in year round 7 on 7 and a lot of the best athletes now also play offense while defense gets the scrapes. Lastly, the boom of the kicker has made scoring much easier. 30 years ago 50 yard FGs at best was 50/50 and now kickers are hitting FG 55+ like it’s nothing so a team essentially just needs to get 25 yards to put up 3 points. We gave up 21 points to a good offensive football team. We were missing our top DT, top LB, first round pick CB, Michael Hoecht, and Larry Ogunjobi.
  18. Yup, I noticed it as well. Weaver went back in the Time Machine and used a lot of the cover 2 2 shell concepts teams used on us to force us to take dump downs like 4 years ago. It was the fakes Beasley would have like 11 catches for 75 yards. It’s why you didn’t see a lot of explosive plays in this game
  19. I’m the opposite, if I’m a returner, I’ve seen way too many take it out of the endzone. I’d be like knee it everytime I’ll take that at the 35 everytime
  20. I honestly would stick with Prater until he gives you a reason not to. The Bills also could stick Prater back on the Practice squad but that does open him up to being signed. We now have a veteran spot available again due to Dan Feeney going to the Buccaneers.
  21. They did they pulled out tape of what teams used to do to us when we had a more explosive offense and those were the games that Beasley would have 11 catches for 75 yards
  22. Jesus the TNF desk pointing at the sign and saying Fitz show them your titz and then them verbally saying it while a female is on the panel and another is on the sideline reporting .
  23. Cook Kincaid Bernard Shaq Thompson Hawes
  24. Two years in a row the Dolphins had the Bills on the ropes at home and a dumb Dolphins penalty allowed the Bills to keep a drive going that ended up being the difference. Bills started out strong on offense and then the Dolphins went back and pulled out the Colts WC tape and made Allen be patient throwing underneath. I’ll chalk it up to it being a Thursday game and we’re 3-0
  25. Need to start opening up playbook on first down , they are sitting on 5 man fronts with 2 LBs in the box and creeping a safety. Selling out to stop Cook on early downs
