While this is possible and feasible. If Spector goes to IR their depth chart is then Bernard and Williams with two rookies who have never played an NFL game including one of the rookies being undrafted and the other a 5th round pick who was injured during cap. The veteran would be Morrow who also was injured and would be the primary backup. That’s not ideal. If they IR Spector, I would think they are going to sign a veteran LB to the 53 man.

Deion Jones has been awful that is not surprising and I don’t think it’s an indicator that Andreessen is being kept
-
Yes 6th and 7th Rounders they have cut, Ulofoshio was a 5th round pick. Don't be blinded by the hometown hero hype and look at it from an organizational perspective. Ulofoshio would be claimed, I'm not sure Andreessen would be especially if they offered him a PS spot since hes from Buffalo .
-
The only way Andreessen is safe is if they decide to keep him as a 6th LB or if they are going to keep him over Ulofoshio which I have a hard time believing since he was a draft pick.

I understand what your saying but I'm not going project waiver claims and trades etc outside of a clear glut of secondary players. It seems we're on the same page I have 24 offensive players and 26 players on defense plus the 3 specialists. I agree with the idea of Ferguson being cut and keeping someone to put on IR but I question who that person is that they want to keep on the 53 who they want to put on season ending IR that they fear would be scooped up by another team. I dont know maybe you have a guy or two in your thought process.

My Last 53 Man Projection QB- Allen, Trubisky (2) Cut: Anthony Brown, Ben Dinucci RB- Cook, Davis, Johnson (3) Cut- Evans(Season IR), Gore Jr FB- Gilliam (1) WR- Shakir, Coleman, Hollins, Samuel, MVS (5) Cut: Isabella, Cain, Byrd, Shorter, Johnson TE: Kincaid, Knox, McKitty (3) Cut: Davidson OL- Dawkins, Edwards, McGovern, Torrence, Brown, Anderson, Van Pran, Grable, VandeMark, Collins (10) Cut: Clayton, Britton, Mike Edwards, Jarvis, Bills, DE- Rousseau, Miller, Epenesa, Smoot, Solomon, Jonathon (6) Cut: Cline, Bothroyd, Toohill DT- Oliver, Jones, Johnson, Carter (4) Cut: Dean, Ankou, Stevenson LB- Bernard, Williams, Spector, Morrow, Ulofoshio (5) Cut: Simon, Jones CB- Douglas, Benford, Elam, Ingram, Johnson, Hardy (6) Cut: Couch, Brown, Lovely SAF- Rapp, Edwards, Hamlin, Bishop, Lewis (5) Cut: Williamson, Burgess, Delaney, Jackson K-Bass P- Martin LS- Ferguson (3) IR with return- Milano, Morris I try to put in the locks first to see where I'm at in the roster and had 50 but the last 3 spots were incredibly hard. I also believe they will go with an initial 11 guys in the secondary but I can't see them maintaining that all season which leads me to believe there is going to be a trade of a Safety at some point. Obviously Rapp and Bishop will not be going so at some point one of Hamlin, Lewis, or Edwards is going to be traded in my opinion. The last spots really came down to positions. The last 3 guys I added were McKitty, Collins, and Jonathon. The Bills are going to add a 3rd TE whether that is putting Morris in the 3rd spot even injured or going Davidson, McKitty. I went with McKitty because he is more of a blocker as well as a pass threat. I then went with Collins because his contract is guaranteed and will be a veteran presence if anything to help school the younger guys around him. That spot will come down to a 10th lineman, or a 6th WR. Just don't see a 6th WR worth keeping at this point who couldn't be stashed on the PS. The other spot came down to keeping a 6th DE(Jonathon) or a 5th DT(Williams) vs a 6th LB(Andreessen). I thought long and hard about this as its risky going with 5 LB's especially with Morrow and Spector hurt and their only backup being Ulofoshio who was also injured and a rookie. I think they keep Andreessen on the PS and call him up for the first couple of games to make sure they are covered there. The Bills have traditionally kept 10 DL so that is why I ended up at Jonathon. They can roster Trubisky and sign a QB to the Practice Squad whether Dinucci or another Veteran and use his callups at the beginning of the season as well.

Every year people say this about a RB that excels in preseason and every year they think their going to make the team and end up cut. -

With the way RBs drop like flies you need 2 of them on the PS -

Uh oh. You know McDermott did that on purpose which was incredibly smart. Your not gonna know if you can rely on him with a bunch of 20-30 yarders. -

Is it just me or has the game been a cluster with audio visual today? -

Not to excuse other times but outside of Solomon who I’m not sure was in the 2nd series, they are literally playing the bottom of the DL roster for this game -

The Bills 2nd team offensive line is pretty good and Van Pran can get up to the 2nd level. I'd legit consider starting him he looks damn good in there but they all do to be honest. Even Collins wasn't ass that first drive. -
The Bills don't have to make a trade for anyone if they have the intentions of replacing Mitch(which I doubt). There will be some names that shake loose after this week and the Bills present a great opportunity to be a # 2 that a lot of places dont have at the moment.
-
I acknowledged that it was only preseason. Its also not an opinion that none of them have done anything its a fact that none of them have done anything through week 3 of the preseason. Could I wait sure but the topic was brought up about Franklin and I added to the topic that its not just Franklin its pretty much all of them. No where did I say any of them are busts or one is better than the other already.

Yes fully aware if preseason week 3 just stating whats going on so far. Legette, Two Bills Drive's love child, has been injured and hasn't played yet. God forbid the guy has a big day though against the Bills cut guys or it will be pandemonium on this board after tomorrow's game.
-
The whole class hasn't really done much to be honest so far in looking at it. Out of the guys we could have drafted, Worthy is having the best preseason and Mitchell caught a TD pass last night but none of the guys including Coleman have done much of anything yet.

One site has the Jets favored to win the AFCE
gonzo1105 replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
They to me have the best roster. If they can not be the Jets and Rodgers can play above average ball I can see it. Its still the Jets though. -
One of 4 options. We keep two and Trubisky is 2 and we suck it up for a week and sign a veteran to the PS. Option 2 is we keep Trubisky , make him inactive and call up the PS QB until he is healthy Option 3. We place him on IR eligible to return and sign another QB to the 53 Option 4. We release him with man injury settlement and sign another to the 53. I don’t see us keeping 3 regardless of his injury

Players that we might trade instead of release at cutdown
gonzo1105 replied to mushypeaches's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yea I don’t know if there are many that teams would be interested in Clapp if he has any value because I think it’s worth putting Gouriage on the 53 and Jonathan because he might have some Boogie Basham type late round value. I think it’s much more likely we use some of that late round capital to add to a position. Maybe a Cam Lewis or a Mike Edwards but I think that’s a long shot esp with all the injuries -
McDermott: "MVS & Samuel good chance of Week 1 return"
gonzo1105 replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I literally said this is another thread. Everyone started freaking out about week to week and I was like uh guys there is literally 3 weeks to the regular season. The vast majority of these guys will be back opening day and if not def by the Thurs night game -
The problem is Braelon Allen isn’t as good despite his imposing figure. He has to be in a gap scheme. Once Wisconsin got away from I formation downhill he got progressively worse. He isn’t a huge thumper for his size He’s not a good pass catcher and he needs to hone his pass blocking skills. Maybe in 4 years Allen will catch up to him in those things but I’ll take Davis over him anyday
