AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs
gonzo1105 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think that’s a conspiracy theory at all. This makes a lot of sense as the entire country had it. I think that’s what they did with Dawkins as well -
So we just have Saints and Cowboys left now? Cowboys prob going Schottenheimer so Saints or bust for Brady

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

I have no idea why but I was way more nervous before the Baltimore game than I am versus the Chiefs. Maybe its because we got over the divisional hurdle that has been in the way or maybe because I felt the Ravens were the toughest for us in the AFC but I shouldn't be this calm before we go against a team that has ended our season 3 times in the last 4 years. -
Yes and no, he was with McVay his first stint for 3 years as an assistant, then took the OC job at Kentucky and worked with Will Levis. They won 10 games which at Kentucky is unheard of and then he came back to be the OC for the Rams after O'Connell left. My question would be why did he leave that to go back to Kentucky after that. Seems to have worked out for him though as he had one of the better offenses in the NFL with the Bucs this year.

I wouldn't say extort but he put pressure on them because he was a huge possible donor and Leipold was trying to get a lot done at UB when he was there. He was trying to get the fieldhouse, he was redesigning the coaches offices and remodeling them and adding a nutrition area and was attempting to have a new weightroom build from the fieldhouse. Brought him in for a visit and his brother definitely didn't get the good genes in the family. Sandy, Khalil's father, is a monster and Khalil took after him but LaDarius was much smaller. He also only had one offer. It ended up working out in the end as LaDarius ended up being a solid player for UB in his career.

With Coe He has been successful at every stop and comes from McVays tree doesn’t surprise me he landed a job. It’s a solid hire by the Jags. Saints appear to be Brady’s last chance and a lot of people don’t believe he’s the favorite

I get that, looking at his career arc, this is actually the longest that Kromer has been at any stop in the NFL. Kind of crazy when you think about it only being almost 4 years. Sometimes when you get older you know a situation is good and your content to stick with it versus trying to go somewhere else and start over again. Lets hope Kromer has hit that point in his coaching career that he'll stay as long as the Bills organization will have him.
-
Just don't see it happening. Kromer has been a great O-line coach in a lot of stops. Usually O-line guys get passed over a lot for coordinator jobs even though Kromer does have a little bit of experience. I could see a situation like you said where Kromer gets a new title or titles possibly as high as co offensive coordinator with someone else but run game coordinator is more likely like you said. I can't see him making a lateral move to Jacksonville when he has an incredibly good offensive line here already and has built something special unless he just likes and wants to be in warmer weather.

My son, wife and I have been sick in the last month and non stop coughing for at least 3 weeks before it went away. My wife still has it. We’re in Arkansas, so it’s all over the country -
This is kind of my thought. I’m guessing if Brady gets a job like Jacksonville he is going to want a GM he’s connected to. That would mean someone like Brian Gaine or Terrance Gray would be in play but I don’t think he’s the favorite. Saleh makes sense as a stabilizer and I wonder if the Khans would prefer a minority candidate

Bills 28 Chiefs 24 -
As always depends on the money to me but I think he’ll be out of our range price tag wise anyways. Been studying the draft way more but might gander over and take a look at positions of need and guys I like
-
I fully expect all 3 to play. Milanos hamstring was described as soreness and Benford will magically clear. Interested most on Rapp
-
I think he would get one regardless. He was active for two games. Not sure how it works for released players who didn’t play an active game, so I’m not sure if someone like Deon Cain gets one

Random talking head says something about the Bills

Eric DeCosta and unnamed person off camera taking a pot shot at Jerry Coleman about Derrick Henry. Found it pretty funny and how little they even respect him -
I mean if accurate that’s some pretty good dough for a journeyman he ain’t going to live the lavish life but he’s gonna live a lot better than most of us if he uses his money well

All this talk about lack of separation in passing game

We’ll find out because Watson is back and Spags will be sending more blitzes than he did last time. So Bills outside WRs are going to have to make some 1 on 1 catches tight coverage or not -
The Bills are like we’ll put you up for a week in a hotel then sign you back for the 12th time. I know there is a standard PS contract but I’d legit be curious to see what he made this year to go through all this but man needs a job so I get it

The Bills always give up some sort of points to good teams on their first drives. Its like they play base and wait to see what the other team does before they adjust to them. It absolutely hurts watching them fall behind constantly against good teams. -
I mentioned in the Ravens thread that I saw last weeks show and it put a wry smile on my face as the Ravens talked about what a special team they had and how special Jackson/Henry was knowing that the Bills had eliminated them from the playoffs already. I am gonna click it on in a minute to watch so thanks for the reminder.

This is two weeks in a row that the opponent was shocked that the Bills played a conservative ball control offense and that they were effective in doing so. Payton made some comments about how surprising it was to see the Bills run the ball as much as they did and how efficient they were at it against them
