WITH THE 41st Pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, THE CHICAGO BEARS Select: MASON TAYLOR TE LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY Why: The GM is trying to give Ben Johnson the same offensive pieces he had in Detroit by first adding Omarion Hampton, following it up with a LT to block for franchise QB Caleb Williams, and now adding Mason Taylor to the mix as the "Sam Laporta" of Ben Johnson's offense. I have always had Taylor as my clear # 3 TE and it wouldn't surprise me if you look back in 3 years and he is the best one to come out of this draft. Taylor has great hands and great pedigree as a pass catcher and with Thibodeaux being added via trade, the need for an edge rusher was lessened. The Bears also have picks 65 acquired via trade with the Giants and their original pick #72 to continue adding pieces to this football team. @section122 and the NY Jets are on the clock

The Bears will consider moving down from # 41 if anyone is interested.

WITH THE 39TH Pick in the 2025 NFL DRAFT, THE CHICAGO BEARS SELECT: Josh Conerly OT University of Oregon Analysis: After trading down and getting Hampton to end the first round, the Bears turn around and get their future franchise LT at pick 39 after missing out on Josh Simmons. Conerly fits the same mold as Simmons, an uber athletic offensive tackle that is just scratching the surface of his development as he is still just a 21 year old prospect. Conerly can slide right into the Left Tackle role while this moves Braxton Jones into a swing tackle role which he seems better suited for. @Alphadawg7 and the New Orleans Saints are on the clock

I know people love the story but I do not think that either Ulofoshio, Joe, or Spector are any sort of lock for this roster. I think a mid round LB can unseat any of those 3.

I do think Higgins is going to go around where the Browns took him. Might even slip onto round 1 but more likely the first 5-10 picks of round 2

I moved up solely because I thought Hampton was a possibility at your pick. If the Giants hadn’t offered a deal, I probably would have taken Hampton at 10. My goal was to trade 34 to either 28 or 30 and get Simmons because I knew the Chiefs would take him. Then I was worried you would take Hampton at 33 hence me jumping you at 32 . If my trade went through with the Bills, I then would have traded 39 to the Eagles and gotten both Simmons and Hampton who are much higher in my top 100. Hampton has a true first round grade and Simmons might be my first or 2nd guy with a 2nd round grade. I only have 17 first round grades this year

I was trying to trade up to get Simmons in front of you, I figured you wouldn’t move off it but thought I’d try. He’s my # 1 true LT and number 2 Tackle in the draft behind Membou, and think I have him at 19 overall in my top 100. He would have been who I took at 30 if the Bills would have traded with me With that said there is a trade!!! The Chicago Bears trade pick 34 and a 2026 4th rounder to the Eagles for the 32nd pick. It’s 100% setting up for a non Grant board meltdown pick with him on the board. It will really meltdown if the Chiefs take him at 31

I was trying to screw said Chiefs but Bills fans didn’t want to let it happen. Remember this when you chastise the Bills organization for the moves they make with the Chiefs because you just didn’t same thing lol. I suppose the Chiefs could have taken Grant. Im not at my comp but I think Amos is my highest ranked Defensive player but we’re ineligible to take him. I’d probably take Revel here if no trade down scenario presented itself

I agree with this. I don’t think Grant goes in the first round to be honest. Gonna be a lot of Bills fans angry when he’s there at 30 and they draft CB or someone like Landon Jackson instead

I mean really it makes no sense for the Bills to trade up. It’s pick 24, there are 3 DBs, multiple DTs, Edges that make sense and a both safeties

I will say this in defense of him. He did get close a lot take that for whatever you want and Texas A&M seems to just kill DL talent for whatever reason Stewart never became dominant player, Scourton regressed from his Purdue days. Fadil Diggs went to Syracuse and greatly improved there. Walter Nolan was awful at A&M and improved at Miss. They also have Shemar Turner in this draft that is another physical freak who never became dominant either

Nope doesn’t make sense from a player and a draft pick perspective. You’d have to give up one of the 2nds and I don’t think the Bills will do that

He was good his sophomore season and took a big step back in his junior year. He was always grabby, even in man coverage but you can get away with that more in college. He was drafted on his traits and the ability for him to learn the Bills system. He failed to do so

I could see this . Moving down getting more capital taking a DB than moving up from 56 with additional capital to move up to secure best DL

I mean in this draft, I won’t disagree as there are about 40 guys who could go from 10 to 50. I just see in a draft so weak his traits getting him in round 1. I think his teammate Scourton as being the one who will get knocked into round 2 but like I said who knows

This guy is making visits from teams in the top 10 all the way down the first round. Must have a wide range of grades

Another LB type that fits the Bills is Nick Martin from Oklahoma State. Had a good combine and a monster 3rd year before missing most of last year with a knee injury
