Overall good news on Bernard. Means we should get Johnson and him back in a couple of weeks. I have faith in Spector as I thought he would get a chance to compete for the starting job when we didn’t know what Bernard was. I am worried about depth for sure. Spector had gotten injuries and Williams is still undersized. I know people love Joe and even Ulofoshio but I don’t want to see them playing real games yet. I expect a vet to be signed for depth here in the next day or two to the PS

If you could get a day 2 pick for Cook would you pull the trigger…

James Cook ran for a total of 1500 yards in 4 seasons at Georgia. That is 375 yards a season on average. In his junior and senior seasons he ran for 303 and 728. Now he did split time but he was never the # 1 RB at Georgia as a lot of time they split him out wide and kind of made him like Achane is used for the Dolphins. So no not a lot of people expected him to become a 1200 yard runner in the NFL including myself -

It’s funny cause Cook was known more as a WR than RB at Georgia and no one including myself expected him to become the type of RB he had become. His hands have been shaky at times but so far so good this year. His one true weakness is his pass blocking which is why Ty Johnson is out there on 3rd downs -
They were clearly willing to let Miami run it as much as they wanted. Made some big run stops and then forced their passing game into bad decisions

I know Oliver is getting a lot of love as he should but Daquan Jones also had a really good game and it was Austin Johnson who planted Thompson on the Cole Bishop PBU

I fully expect Hamlin to continue starting until they feel Bishop is ready. I also don’t think he’ll change it until there is a reason to.

This was my immediate thought after the game as well. We should near the Jags especially at home but they are a team that seems to fluster Allen a lot and Lawrence always plays well against us for whatever reason

The Bills have had some bad luck with things but referencing Milano, Bernard, and Johnson they are all undersized for the things they are asked to do in the NFL. Johnson is one of the best slot CB's because not only can he cover but he's a really good player coming down and tackling but that involved a guy under 200 pounds constantly taking on offensive lineman, TE's and bigger running backs. Milano and Bernard are 230 pounds at best and constantly taking on 300 pound lineman. Those battles take their toll over time.

I mean the guy who makes the most sense that has a history with us that isn't retired(Klein) is Andre Smith Jr. I'm not sure the Bills want to go down that route as hes predominately been a ST's guy but he is a veteran and knows the way McDermott does things. Zach Cunningham is also available don't know how much he has left in the tank but might be worth a flyer.

I didn’t watch Rousseau a ton tonight but the one play I did see was the hustle play on 4th down to catch Thompson. He was chipped by Jonnu then pressed the LT into the pocket, disengaged and ran him down

He will eventually replace Hamlin. Don’t see them taking Rapp off the field -

The Bills should be treating this like preseason. Let’s get The backup DLine in and Morrow some PT -
Hyde may not want to play and the Bills are already rostering 10 DBs. If Hyde comes back it will be because of injuries and closer to the playoffs

It’s sad cause Bass kicks so far have been very crisp and clean so far and then he does that. What scares me the most is he kind of looks like Norwood -
Spector is probably as good as anyone else we can get in week 3. What I’m concerned with is the depth. We need another vet badly now in the room.

They let Mike White go to keep Thompson. I’m not sure Mike White would go back there unless he was told he’s the starter
