  1. Benford early in this season has been at worst a top 10 corner probably top 5. Douglas has been pretty solid as well so I would agree and they have played solid weapons and QBs. Not the elite but good
  2. The Bills will be getting younger in the next year or two. Some guys are on their last legs esp as starters.
  3. I think they are keeping Rapp as the starter. The staff really seems to like him so I expect him and Bishop as the starters next year and 3.7 million is pretty cheap for a starting safety and its clear the Bills feel he's a starter. Thats why I don't mention Safety as a high need next year. Rapp and Bishop with a young mid round draft pick and Cam Lewis or another vet.
  4. To me, outside of the first 4 guys, the most impressive rookie I have seen so far is McMillan. He hasn't gotten a ton of opportunities behind Evans and Godwin amongst others but dude is flat out open and Mayfield has missed him a couple of times. I've watched both Bucs games due to fantasy purposes because I have Rachaad White on my team.
  5. My two cents on this is Douglas walks for a contract the Bills are unwilling to pay, they draft a CB with one of their first 3 picks next year and that player is the eventual starter opposite Benford. I dont ever see Elam being that guy here and all the evidence points to that being true. Ingram, while a great story is probably at best a placeholder starter.
  6. If Bass does gets let go for one of these two it would be like having Tyler Bass kicking for us
  7. Bump for Week 2. I added all the WR's including the first 4 guys. Added the teams that they play for since that was requested and also added targets. Week 2 Spreadsheet attached to original post.
  8. I was always a big Dallas Clark fan. Made a name for himself but he was kind of the lost man of that top offense back in the day but super reliable for Manning, great hands and had a couple of big seasons when teams were taking away Harrison and Wayne amongst others.
  9. Cardinals are smacking around the Rams with two Marvin Harrison TD's. Guess the Bills secondary is pretty good this year.
  10. Thats why in the NFL you can never call it a bad slate. Lots of good games albeit from average teams.
  11. See I can't even say with certainty he's a great DC. He was the beneficiary of a great defensive roster. I always think an indicator of a coach's greatness is the fall off after they leave a position or the improvement. The 49ers defense hasn't missed a beat since he left. The Jets have a lot of talent on defense as well. I suppose you could say he developed these guys. I'm on the fence in general with guys like this.
  12. 2nd week in a row Levis just throwing the ball around. Take the 3 points young buck
  13. Idk maybe the rumors about the Jets and them being in disarray are correct. They look like their sleep walking through the first two weeks. The Jets are trying to establish the run in both games with no success. They need to open it up and let Rodgers throw it because everyone is sitting on the run game.
  14. You only get 17 weeks of this and there will be some games that you thought wouldn’t be good that turn out to be great
  15. The Jets are still a very serious threat in my opinion. Yes they got beat bad in week 1 but they really limited Rodgers against that pass rush in his first game action back almost like lets get his feet wet without getting him killed. The 49ers have one of the best if not the best roster in the NFL and the Jets schedule is very soft so I expect us to have them as competition.
  16. Everytime Spector has been called upon I feel he’s done at least a decent to above average job
  17. When you run a system with smaller guys these things happen. Thomas Davis had 3 ACL tears, 1 of which was with McDermott, pulled his hamstring and broke his arm. Davis weighed 235 Shaq Thompson another McDermott guy has had hamstrings, knee sprains, shoulder issues, and recently fractured his leg. Thompson weighed 230. Luke Kuechly who everyone knows was a star retired due to concussions also tore his labrum and had shoulder surgery. He weighed 235. Bernard is 225 pounds. He plays the Kuechly role and is 10 pounds less. Milano is 223 pounds. He plays the Thomas Davis role and is 12 pounds less. Taron Johnson plays the Shaq Thompson role. Johnson is 192 pounds while Thompson was 229. Look at how banged up the Panthers guys got in the same McDermott system and they were bigger than all 3 of the Bills guys. This will continue and is more likely to happen to the 3 as they age. Small bodies break down when colliding with bigger bodies over and over again
  18. Honestly, it’s not crazy even if they take on a ton of dead cap. Trade him for a 2nd or whatever and get your new franchise QB. You still have good offensive skill in Waddle and Achane and could use that extra capital to build an Oline around him. Dolphins wouldn’t do it probably but if I was GM I’d start thinking about trading away pieces now that Tua is out possibly for good and take the cap hits while your QB is on the rookie deal
  19. I always hate the Jags games. We seem to struggle with them mightily and they seem to give Josh fits. Lawrence and Etienne always seem to play at their best against us. The difference is the Bills are finally at home against them. Everytime we lose to them it’s in Jax or the one time in London. Irs a game the Bills need if they have hoped for home field
  20. If there are two teams McDermott and staff prepare for well it’s the Dolphins and Ravens just don’t know how the injuries will affect them
  21. Overall good news on Bernard. Means we should get Johnson and him back in a couple of weeks. I have faith in Spector as I thought he would get a chance to compete for the starting job when we didn’t know what Bernard was. I am worried about depth for sure. Spector had gotten injuries and Williams is still undersized. I know people love Joe and even Ulofoshio but I don’t want to see them playing real games yet. I expect a vet to be signed for depth here in the next day or two to the PS
  22. James Cook ran for a total of 1500 yards in 4 seasons at Georgia. That is 375 yards a season on average. In his junior and senior seasons he ran for 303 and 728. Now he did split time but he was never the # 1 RB at Georgia as a lot of time they split him out wide and kind of made him like Achane is used for the Dolphins. So no not a lot of people expected him to become a 1200 yard runner in the NFL including myself
  23. It’s funny cause Cook was known more as a WR than RB at Georgia and no one including myself expected him to become the type of RB he had become. His hands have been shaky at times but so far so good this year. His one true weakness is his pass blocking which is why Ty Johnson is out there on 3rd downs
  24. They were clearly willing to let Miami run it as much as they wanted. Made some big run stops and then forced their passing game into bad decisions
