One of the things I respect about Spags is his ability to adjust especially at halftime. There have been a ton of times where the Chiefs get gashed some in the first half only to stifle another team in the 2nd half.

McConkey looking like an absolute stud early in this football game.

Chargers always play the Chiefs tough. I'm interested to see if Harbaugh can make a difference in this type of game for a team that always blew it with Staley and Lynn

Boy that’s a bad loss for the Jets

I dont expect this to get a lot of attention but since I moved to Arkansas, I live 15 minutes from the University of Central Arkansas vs Lamar. UCA was ranked # 8 in the FCS and Lamar was ranked # 19 so a pair of top 20 teams in the subdivision. Central Arkansas won the game 34-14 but wanted to share some observations on 3 guys I really liked in the game as possible draft/UDFA signings for the 2025 Draft. All 3 of these players are on Central Arkansas's roster - David Walker DE/LB UCA listed at 6'2 260 pounds. Walker was clearly the best player on the field. It was my first time ever hearing of him and I really liked what I saw from him on the field. I don't think he is 6'2 by the way 6'0 and some change or maybe 6'1. Short stocky build but has good acceleration and gets off the football but I was just as impressed with his play in the run game. Looked at the stat sheet after the game and looks like he had 7 tackles 2 for a loss and 1 sack tonight. I then went to look up his career stats and I was like Wowzers. 145 Tackles , 50.5 TFL, and 27 Sacks. Two time FCS All American. Looks to be a solid Day 3 pick next year if he doesn't test horribly. -ShunDerrick Powell RB UCA listed at 5'9 180 pounds. If Walker was the best player on the field, Powell was clearly the 2nd best player. He is not 5'9 and 180 pounds. I'd venture 5'7 and maybe 170 but dude is remarkably strong for his size and is a very quick sudden running back in the ground game. Ran 25 times for 178 and 2 TD's tonight. Was a transfer from North Alabama where he ran for 1,500 yards as a sophomore and then came to Central Arkansas where he ran for 1,000 before despite getting hurt. Has rushed for nearly 650 yards in 4 games so far as a senior. Was an All American at UNA and will most likely be an All American this year as well. I would expect him to be a UDFA who goes off in the preaseason and everyone is like who the hell is this guy. - Darius Hale RB UCA listed at 5'11 225 pounds. He was Powell's 1B and as you can tell UCA loves to run the football. He looked a legit 5'11 225 to me as he has a very physical in between the tackles runner. He had 19 Carries for 96 Yards and a 1 TD tonight. Most of his best production was as a Freshmen and Sophomore before Powell got there but he is very nice compliment to Powell. I think he's also a UDFA guy and could make a roster as a practice squad guy. I didn't think Lamar had an NFL type prospect in my opinion.

I just want to add if you’re a college football fan, and want a WR next year take a look at Tre Harris dude is a monster. Might not make it to Buffalo tho at this rate -

I just don’t think if you want add in the trade market there is a # 1 guy. I don’t think Higgins is that guy and I don’t think Hopkins is that guy anymore as well. I don’t think these guys take over games. I would also like to see how this offense continues to evolve before moving on someone else -

These situations are why it’s so vital to have Allen who can break the picket and either run or go into scramble drill with guys. I’m in the wait and see mode how these guys play in a tight game -

I see some people are back to the let’s find a # 1 guy in next years draft drafting between 28-32. Maybe we do but it would take a couple years for that to happen. Look at the guys drafted this year around the Bills pick and they’re all right now slated to have around 4 to 500 yards. Obviously they’ll get more opportunities as the season goes but we aren’t and I said this last year going to find an instant # 1 WR who is 6’2 runs a 4.3 and does everything the top guys in the league do late in round 1 -

I do believe spending 30+ million dollars a season when you have an elite QB is dumb in my opinion. Just gotta make sure your keeping the cupboard full of younger talented players. -

Much like offensive coordinators in my opinion, WR's can be made to look a lot better with a elite QB play and I think thats what your seeing with Shakir. Stick him in an offense with an average QB and we don't say this but I think he's a deadly type of player with someone like Allen. Much like Edelman/Welker were with Brady but may not have been successful in another scheme and QB. I think people are so caught up in the 1300-1500 star WR they will overlook the fact that its okay to have a guy who gets 900-1000 and a bunch of other guys who get between 500-700 yards as long as there are multiple guys who do this. -

Its hard to judge the WR's so far. I don't think the Bills have a top WR corps by any stretch of the imagination but they are playing better as a group than a more talented WR corps last year at least through 3 games. Shakir is the "#1 WR" right now and I think he has been fantastic so far. He's just not getting # 1 WR opportunities which he might not get all year because of the style of football that they are playing. I think we are starting to see Kincaid get thrown to down the field(about time) and I hope to see him make bigger plays later on into the season. Coleman is a rookie and he's been not great but again he's had a lack of opportunity and if you look at the stats of the rookie WR's he's been right on par with every rookie WR so far outside of the top 4 guys who are getting the ball thrown to them at a 3 to 4 times clip per game. Hollins is basically a Gabe Davis clone who is getting the ball less (which is a good thing) but does a great job blocking and when the ball has come his way he has caught it versus Davis who had the dropsies a lot. Samuel is the guy i'm surprised hasn't gotten more opportunities. They have used him a lot as a decoy right now and screen guy. He did catch a nice slant route last week for a good pickup MVS is whatever. He's the take the top off guy to open stuff up underneath. I think the thing they deserve credit for so far is that when the ball has been thrown to them they have caught it. That was a huge problem with the Bills past teams. We are efficient staying ahead of the chains and allowing Brady to use the full playbook at his disposal including Allen Runs, throwing the ball to the RB's and Tight Ends to keep moving down the field. As I said earlier, yea I would draft another WR next year. I do think we need another guy and there are a ton of guys to add to the room next year. We will need to add to Shakir and Coleman for sure in the near future. -
We much preferred Destin to Panama City when we visited but check em out everyone is different. I think a lot more people are considering moving out of the country simply because it is so much cheaper to get high end property without spending a million dollars +.

I mean things have to be looked at in perspective. Yes I would draft another WR, i'm not going to argue that point but it looks like Brady has put a focus on everyone getting involved including the Tight End's and Running Backs. We also have blown out 2 of the 3 teams we have played and essentially have ran the ball for 3 or 4 quarters so far this year after the games were no longer in the balance so the WR statistics would look better if we actually had to throw the ball. Their making the plays they have been asked to make so far and outside of the Cook drop we have been sure handed. -
Week 4 - Bills at Ravens Game Week Thread
gonzo1105 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
To me it was pretty obvious in week 1, they were focused on a contained rush against Kyler Murray more than getting upfield trying to get after him. That was all 4 of them. In week 2 against the Dolphins, I think they were trying to get in Tua's face as much as they could. -

While I dont think the WR group is great by any stretch, Brady's utilization of the Running Backs and Tight Ends is making our passing game look a hell of a lot better as well as his scheming of the WR's. I'm curious how we will look in another 4-5 weeks after the Bills and Brady's schemes have more tape on them for Defensive Coordinator's to get a look at. -
Surprised no one has said Savannah, Georgia yet. Warm year round. Great food, has a plethora of golf courses, near all kinds of beaches and has the Savannah/Hilton Head Airport or Charleston Airport a couple hours away.

If you are going to invest in Jones like they did you have to surround him with as much talent as possible. It’s clear Nabers is a star. I wonder how much better they would have been if they kept Barkley. Having both those guys make you a competent offense that can put up 20+ a game even with Jones -
Yup I said it in the game day thread. He’s starting to show what he’s made of the more he has been on the field getting reps. I was very high on him coming out of the draft , my # 2 MLB behind Jack Campbell. I think he is the eventual replacement for Milano but the problem is Milano can’t really be cut until 2026. It’s good to see if Williams can sustain this over more time before going down that road.

Clapp is an interior guy. The only interior guy I’d trust going outside is Anderson, my guess is RVD is now the swing, even tho he’s not great on the right side and Anderson becomes the emergency tackle if things go off the rails -

I’m not gonna argue a ton here but I would say they should be a couple notches higher. Above the Rams and Seahawks for sure imo -

On the outside I knew this was the Grable replacement but we swapped a swing tackle for an interior guy. This must mean they’re going to start working Alec Anderson out at tackle -
