  1. I know we’ve discussed this before a bit but to me you have to take the CB at 30 unless there is just a flat out sure thing DL guy that falls into your lap. Way better value at DL at 56 and 62 than CB
  2. Mike Williams, Marcell Dareus, JP Losman, EJ Manuel, Aaron Maybin, Leodis McKelvin, CJ Spiller, Donte Whitner, Erik Flowers, John McCargo, Sammy Watkins. These 11 guys were drafted by the Bills in the first round of the drought era. They were either flat out busts or they were players they didn’t come close to being as good as their draft spot. Winfield doesn’t count because he was drafted in 99 the last year we were in the playoffs if you want to get technical. The other guys Nate Clements, Marshawn Lynch, Lee Evans, Willis McGahee, Eric Wood, Stephon Gilmore were good NFL players so 6 guys but…. They did re-sign Eric Wood Stephon Gilmore hated Buffalo and became the #1 paid CB in the league. Same thing happened for Nate Clements if I recall correctly minus the hatred of Buffalo They did re-sign Lee Evans who was a very good NFL player for a short period and the Bills have been well documented they they wanted Ben Roethlisberger badly which led to the ill fated Losman pick. Marshawn Lynch thought Buffalo was boring and hit a woman while driving so he wanted out of here. Cant recall why the Bills let McGahee go but overall during the drought they had 11 terrible picks and 6 good ones. 2 RBs, 2 DBs, 1 WR, and a Center. They reupped two of them , 2 couldn’t wait to get out of here, 2 became the highest paid player at his position (Clements), and 1 I don’t recall. So yes the Bills drought did last so long because they drafted terrible and B. Couldn’t find a QB
  3. Ezeiruaku is super underrated on this board. He doesn’t have a jet like first step because, imo after watching a lot of his tape , he watches to see what the OT is doing before he decides which one of his many developed pass rush moves he’s going to use. He’s light but he was fine as a run defender in college and at the senior bowl. Pearce is the same weight, 3 pounds lighter than Mike Green and 2 inch longer arms, 9 pounds lighter than Nic Scourton. He’s not significantly smaller than the other DEs in his range. He’s more of a tactician than a pure speed rusher and he’ll prob get swallowed up sometimes by 330 pound guys but so will the rest of the DEs in this class at times
  4. Yea even when this team has had high picks mostly in the past, the vast majority were good to bust players and more on the bust side. Reason why we didn’t make the playoffs for so long
  5. I think we’ll add some low end guys to fill out the 90 and compete. Maybe you get one more “name” signing for a bargain but I think they have turned the focus onto the draft and their 10 picks. I don’t think much changes in need with their signings I think they will add a safety in the draft but it won’t be until the mid to late rounds to compete or go on the PS for a year
  6. Just because you draft high doesn’t guarantee you a blue chipper elite player. We had the 9th pick and got Ed Oliver who has been solid, was seen as a blue chipper but didn’t. We traded up to get a monster LB who was young in Edmunds who a lot of people would turn into an elite player and it never materialized.
  7. Beane also stated in his presser that he stuck with Ogunjobi because the DT market had thinned out a lot after they agreed so I wouldn’t expect much if they do move forward in signing him
  8. He’s young, maybe they think he could improve but he’ll probably he battling Zion Logue and others for maybe the last DT spot and maybe he locks in a job for 6 weeks
  9. I have been there a couple of times. My first visit, Walter Payton just happened to be there and I was a young kid who didn’t realize who he was at the time. Took a couple of minutes to talk to my grandparents, shook my hand, and talked to me for a minute. Still remember the interaction. When he passed he was one of the few celebrities I felt sorry for because of how nice he was to take the time out for my family. I went there as well as an adult when the Bills were in the hall of fame game
  10. Not a fan in stay away territory tbh
  11. Jihaad Campbell had a torn labrum and just had surgery for it. Wonder if this will affect his stock any.
  12. Their not going to take two 1Techs back to back. They will take a DT and then they will trade up for a CB or vice versa.
  13. I’d say it’s more likely that the Bills stay put at 30, then move up from 56 with the capital they have in the midrounds.
  14. It’s interesting because Milanos contract was very cuttable after this season. Wouldn’t have been so much this offseason. Doesn’t make sense from Milanos side unless he has told the Bills this will be his last year playing and he is helping out the Bills salary cap now and in the future. We have Williams waiting in the wings but now we’re gonna need someone for serious depth
  15. Bills apparently met with Landon Jackson again before his pro day. Seems the Bills have met with him numerous times. Killed the combine, tape is good not great, feel we need someone with more bend but the Bills are seriously considering him for sure
  16. Im not against DL at 30 whether interior or outside but just looking at the roster and the depth of the draft it makes way more sense to go Corner at 30 and DL at 62. Now it’ll there is someone that fell that is just so much higher on the board than okay. I’m an Ezeiruaku fan more than a lot on this board but it’s swaying away from him
  17. Im starting to get on the Hairston train myself as I have stated for years the Bills need to get faster and more athletic in their secondary. Shouldn’t be the sole reason but there will be guys worthy of they pick at CB. Give me one of those at 30 and I guy like Zah Frazier from UTSA in round 4
  18. Hindsight you can’t even say he was BPA. Cody Ford was considered a late first early 2nd round pick. Even if you want to go the hindsight route AJ Brown has been better than Metcalf. The only way you can remotely say DK was BPA was throughly media hype and he still gets hyped up by some that think he’s megatron but really he’s a good but not elite WR
  19. We def are we literally have nothing there
  20. To me all signs point to CB at this point. Our #1 DB is a Free Agent after this season, we let our # 2 & 3 CBs go(assuming Douglas is not back) we replaced them with a guy who is on a one year deal. I fully expect DL still but the value at 30 will be there for CB as well
  21. I guess my point is how is that wasting money? Unless you’re mid to late round rookie you’re making a million dollars so it’s not a waste to sign him to a million. If they signed him to 2 million your point would be more valid
  22. Good for them getting paid. Cincinnati better hit on a lot of draft picks coming up to be able to form a team around them
  23. Farmer isn’t a beast. He looks like one but he was a constant underachiever at FSU. I’m a Florida State fan. He and Patrick Payton were supposed to take over for Jared Verse and Braden Fiske and both failed miserably. Farmer has all the tools to be a beast but has yet to prove more than he has physical attributes
  24. Outside of the top guys I think CJ West from Indiana is a great fit here. Jordan Phillips would be fine as well but I think he needs to develop a pass rush
  25. The league minimum for a guy with his years of service is over a million dollars
