  1. When the season is on the line I fully expect these guys to play. I know I know it shouldn’t be that way but it is. I know there is a protocol as well but stuff can be fudged
  2. Who’s ready to start the “Chiefs game is my McDermott game “thread for this week
  3. I mean it’s a no brainer for the situations available. There is talent there and a supposed franchise guy and that’s what Johnson should have been looking for. Wonder what this means for Poles future down the line
  4. I called Blakeman as the ref when I was sleuthing in the point spread. His staff calls a lot of penalties but doesn’t seem to favor the Chiefs at all. Hochuli did our divisional game last year so I correctly picked both officials and that Blakeman would be ours
  5. Yup totally agree. People want the big explosive plays and haven’t come around to were more the Steelers with Big Ben or the Panthers with Cam than we are the High flying pass team they saw 5 years ago
  6. It was interesting because they were in a 4-3 but they walked Dorian up onto the line of scrimmage to chuck the Tight Ends and take on the FB/pullers at the line. Something we ran in HS for Power I and Wishbone teams back in the day
  7. He looked not bad yesterday but it’s so hard to gauge because the Bills just don’t throw outside much. If he’s willing to come back cheap with the possibility of being a backup player than yea especially now that he’s a full year removed from a serious injury. Elam isn’t in the plans for next year and I believe Douglas walks imo so it’s draft a guy fairly high and bring in a vet to compete
  8. Not in the game thread only a couple acknowledged it as a bad throw. As for Andrews he has one year left on his deal and Likely is now the better player. I could see the Ravens drafting a TE fairly high and then letting him walk after this season
  9. I semi agree with you. He was targeted in this game, mostly because Likely was their best option and that’s who the Bills decided to cover him with in the game. I have thought his play has slipped a bit since he was an all pro player but he is still a very good player. The Scout/Coach in me has wondered how much longer high play he has due to his body taking a lot of punishment as an undersized tackler and being asked to cover the best slot WR/TEs in the game. I have also wondered if maybe someday that Bishop develops into that guy as his college tape seemed to better fit that role than deep safety
  10. National media and most fans likes the sizzle and not the steak that’s why they didn’t think the Bills were good. That’s why the national media loved the Dolphins cause they were flashy
  11. I’m a 5 and a half away from Arrowhead , driving and considering it but I’d have to drive back for my 3 year old on Monday and I suspect it will be cold as hell so I will probably pass and if they make it go to the Super Bowl in NO which is 7 and a half away
  12. The Eagles are very similar to the Ravens. Lamar is clearly better than Hurts but Hurts had better WR weapons. We would have to stop Barkley at all costs and hope Hurts is off his game
  13. Miserable Bills history. Honestly I don’t know what Bills fans are going to do or know how to act if we win a SB. I’ve questioned myself on it. I’m coming up on 40 and will the hunger be gone because we finally got the brass ring
  14. Cole Bishop wasn’t the reason the Ravens started moving the ball in the 2nd half. They started to establish the run which began opening things up that weren’t available in the first half
  15. I think people forget that Kincaid had 70+ receptions and 700 yards last year while predominantly being a blocker. I just don’t think he’s been as utilized this year of the focus has been on him more as the # 1 Receiever going into the year. He also blocks for a run game that has been pretty dominant all year. They also rarely stretch him down the field which is on Brady more than Kincaid
  16. You could literally say this for every Bills skill player this year with the exception of Shakir, Cook, and Johnson. Where was Amari Cooper, where was Keon Coleman, where was Mack Hollins, Curtis Samuel etc etc etc. Allen is going to what’s available. They ran the ball a lot last night they take what the defense gives. They aren’t going to force it to anyone
  17. I was a big Ray fan coming out of the draft. Surprised they mixed him in so much coming off concussion and how well Ty has been doing but he ran hard and decisive in the few opportunities he got
  18. At times he has been disappointing including the middle of last season I thought he was pretty bad but he has the most duties on this defense by far. Likely is a stud and is better than Andrews at this point in their careers and he gave Taron problems last night. Didn’t help that Jackson had all day on some of his throws as they were just trying to hem him in
  19. I think a lot of people are still adjusting to the idea that we want to be a ball control methodical team that establishes the run. When our run game is clicking , like in the first half you don’t hear people complain but when the run game bogs down it looks like ultra conservative offense. Do I agree they could have been more aggressive in the 3rd yes, and the quarter almost cost us the game , but this isn’t the throwing it all over the field Brian Daboll offense from 2020-2021
  20. All 4 games the team with more yardage lost in the divisional round. Kind of crazy but Turnovers and sacks will do that
  21. Alright based on my sleuthing on officials, there are 4 officials who are eligible to be the referee for our game against the Chiefs. WC refs tend not to do a 2nd game and divisional round referees are eligible for the Super Bowl which already are having reports that Shawn Smith will be the Super Bowl referee with Carl Cheffers as the alternate for the Super Bowl. That leaves 4 referees who meet the minimum criteria. Shawn Hochuli, Clete Blakeman, Adrian Hill, and Scott Novak. I would suspect that Adrian Hill will not be our referee considering he graduated from the University at Buffalo. Novak has the least amount of experience out of the 4 tied with Hill. That means it is likely that Hochuli and Blakeman get assigned the AFC and NFC Championship games. Hochuli officiated the Bills/Chiefs Divisional game last year so not sure if the NFL would repeat that assignement as last year so my prediction is we end up with Clete Blakeman as the official for this game who has actually been a very fair referee when it has come to both Bills and Chiefs games over the years. He would be a best case scenario in my opinion.
  22. It appears that Shawn Smith is going to be the referee for the Super Bowl this year. I am trying to find out who the refs for the Title games will be this week. I have noticed that Hochuli hasn't officiated yet so maybe he wasn't graded high enough this year but worst case scenario he's the official for our game. I thought the refs come from the pool of WC refs though but I can't confirm that.
  23. I'll be honest if he needs a game winning kick in either the AFC title game or the Super Bowl, I'm probably going to close my eyes and just listen first before I commit to watching it.
  24. Yes I'm more optimistic. This team, especially its key players, have been to Arrowhead numerous times over the last 5 years in both the regular season and the playoffs so I don't think the Bills will be wide eyed by a Arrowhead crowd per say. They are also very familiar with the Chiefs and have beaten them just not when it counts yet. The Bills are also two dimensional on offense and it appears that the Bills are transitioning a little bit on defense to becoming more balanced between man coverage and zone coverage. The team is evolving in a very good way. Does it mean we win? I dont know but i'm more optimistic for sure.
  25. I watched the last play that the Ravens scored the TD on and it was a 3 man rush of Epenesa, Jefferson, and Solomon. Not ideal for who you want out there at the end of a game.
