  1. I’m a firm believer that the Bills and Giants will make a trade for # 2. Just reading what other guys said, previous relationship with Gettlemen(much like the Chiefs last year), and the Giants willingness to hang on to Eli make me think this is a strong possibility. I also expect Cordy Glenn to be part of the deal. It just makes too much sense.
  2. There was nothing in that article that made me think Wow Beane really likes Lamar Jackson as a possibility
  3. This is how good teams are made. I love what Brandon Beane is doing. I know people hate the comp formula talk but this makes perfect sense to do. You sign Davis who is is being bought low (1 year deal) in hopes that he recovers his value and has a great season. You let E.J. Gaines walk and he is going to get a fairly big contract which is going to net you an extra 4th or 5th rounder next year. Then you draft a mid round CB this year to be your # 3 guy and let Davis walk next year after he recoups his value to hopefully net another mid round comp next year and the early draft pick slots into the # 2 role.
  4. Honestly the conference that Richmond plays in, the CAA, is just as good as most Group of 5 conferences in the FBS. He will need time to adjust but he is basically going up against the same type of competition that Mike White faced on a week to week basis besides maybe a couple of teams
  5. So for instance Net Gain 4 Players A. 6.2 Million B. 3.4 Million C. 10.4 Million D. 7.5 Net Loss 5 Players A. 5.4 Million B. 11.2 Million C. 2.7 Million D. 7.9 Million E. 8.6 Million The NFL then will match similar salaries 6.2 cancels 5.4 Million 11.2 cancels 10.4 Million 2.7 cancels 3.4 Million 7.5 cancels 7.9 Million So the Net Loss of the teams player is 1 Player with an 8.6 Million dollar 1st year salary. The NFL then assigns Comp Picks based on the top 32 Net Loss Players, and assigns salary guidelines for each rounds comp picks. In this case 8.6 would prob lead to a 4th or 5th round comp pick
  6. The Compensatory formula is actually very easy to figure out. Net gain>Net Loss= No picks Net Gain=Net Loss= 7th round pick of the players you lost we’re better than gained Net Gain<Net Loss= Match up players with similar salaries to eliminate players on both Net gain and Net Loss side. Whoever is left in Net Loss gets assigned comp pick based on first year salary Players who were released or non tendered by teams don’t count for you in the net gain category. So perfect example is Vontae Davis, released by the Colts, wouldn’t count as a net gain.
  7. Common sense says TieRod the Tailor
  8. If you look at the history of the Panthers usage of the front 4 and their history there is no doubt in my mind that at least 1 of their first 4 picks will be on a Dlineman if not 2
  9. The only time I clearly remember being wrong about a QB was I thought Byron Leftwich was superior by a good margin over Carson Palmer. I think the Leftwich broken leg game sold me more than it should
  10. I’m not for taking a WR high in any draft. QBs make WRs better not the other way around. Like the player, just not in favor of it
  11. The Bills, IMO, are going to trade up into the top 5 , either pick 2,3,or 4, and will take one of Rosen, Darnold, or Allen
  12. I went with Mike McCoy and Mike White
  13. The best chance we have to get Rosen or Darnold is with the Giants. Gettlemen just got hired and has a long relationship with Beane. He also was pretty steadfast about moving forward with Eli Manning. I’d say it’s a possibility if we make it enticing enough. Like I said in another thread, going off of your trade chart the Giants pick is worth 717.17 So the Bills trade: Pick #21=260.82 Pick #22= 252.71 LT Cordy Glenn= 2nd Round Pick....Duane Brown got CB Jeremy Lane, a 2018 5th Round Pick, and a 2019 2nd Round Pick so I think it’s safe to say Glenn could be valued as a 2nd rounder= 98.27 Pick # 85= 50.18 Thats 661.98 Then you trade a 2019 2nd Round pick(3rd Round value)= 50.18 2019 4th round pick(5th Round value)=24 points Thats 74.18 + 661.98= 736.16 That would leave Buffalo in the 2018 draft with: # 2 Pick( Giants) #53 Pick (Own) #56 Pick(LAR) #117 Pick (Own) #149 Pick (Own) # 151 Pick (JAX) 2019 Draft 1st 3rd 4th (KC) 5th 6th 7th This is obviously rough estimation but I’d do this deal if the Bills are 100 % certain there is a franchise guy. It doesn’t cripple the Bills at all and Glenn to the Giants makes a ton of sense to help fix their line.
  14. Thats not even gonna be a starter to get to 2 or 3
  15. I actually think that Denver is going to go the veteran route. I think they will be the team that gets Kirk Cousins/Alex Smith imo. Elway knows the value of the QB position and I think he knows his team is a QB away from another deep playoff run
  16. I think this trade makes a ton of sense if you can talk the Giants into making another run with Eli. The Giants get two 1st round picks, a LT that helps their terrible O-Line that should be valued as at least a 2nd rounder, a 2nd in next years draft and we have two 4th rounders next year with the Ragland deal
  17. The Buffalo Bills trade pick # 21, 22, LT Corey Glenn and a 2019 2nd and 4th round pick to the NY Giants for the # 2 pick in the draft and select QB Josh Rosen
  18. They scored 3 points and gave up 10. Blame the offense for not doing anything
  19. I think IF the Bills go the FA route or veteran route it would be Alex Smith. I think they will look at all QBs in the draft not just the top 3
  20. You could tell Terry, even though he was sitting there, was nervous as hell.... you could just see it on his face. One time the cameras panned to the booth and Terry was clearly telling Brandon Beane that the Ravens just scored to make it 24-17 at that point
  21. How bout I throw a new name in the mix who might enter the NFL draft and have a chance to go high in the draft.....What does everyone think of Drew Lock from Missouri. He’s 6’4 or 6’3 225 and put together an incredible stretch of games this year to turn that Missouri program around this year. He’s a little more raw than the other guys and had a lower completion percentage at 57% but he pushes the ball vertically more than most college guys. Had 44 TDS and 13 INTS this year. Not advocating for him but he will prob be a 2nd round pick if he comes out and thought he was worth bringing up
  22. This is why I always get mad when people say, well if our QB had people to throw to he'd be much better. In fact it's the opposite. If we had a top tier QB, Zay Jones, Deonte Thompson etc would look way better than they really are. EJ Manuel got Watkins and he didn't improve one bit. The QB makes things go round in this league. There are plenty of examples of WRs who had great years with good QBs then signed huge deals and flopped with no QB
  23. The Titans get in. They will have an 8-4 conference record and we would have a 7-5 conference record
  24. Yes, which is why they are accumulating so many draft picks. It also would t surprise me if they are going to add more picks via John Miller, Shaq Lawson, and Cordy Glenn
