  1. I would pass on OL and WR. I think the value of these positions are in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the draft. Williams and Little seem like reaches and WR will be a big reach at 9. 1st round- Best Defensive Player Available or trade down. 2nd- WR 3rd-OL/TE( I fully expect the Bills to sign two veteran starting caliber OL this offseason)
  2. While Rivers arm does look like its weakening idk how you can say the guy has slipped. He’s playing at a near MVP level this year. 4,300 yards 32/12 ratio 105 QB rating doesn’t strike me as slipping. Is it going to be a tough test for the Chargers? Absolutely. Are they the best team to beat the Patriots? IMO they are. The Chargers have the offense and the QB to beat the Patriots in a shootout if it comes to that. They also have a great front 4. We all know the best way to beat Brady is to get pressure on him in his face and get him off his platform. I believe the Chargers are the best all around team in the AFC. If Rivers is ever going to get a SB this is the year to do it
  3. All I was saying is these guys all had reputations as being good STs players that were kept on the roster for the ST abilities not their offensive or defensive abilities. I actually think keeping players for STs only are asanine in this day and age simply because Kickoffs very rarely get returned rendering 33% of STs play null and void when you think there is Punt, Punt Return, Kickoff, Kickoff Return, FG, and FG Block team.
  4. They gave Crossman multiple STs guys at the bottom of the roster to begin the season. Andre Holmes was kept solely for his STs ability. They signed Julian Stanford for the same reason, Deon Lacey was supposed to be a ST stud. Ray Ray was drafted for his return ability. Taiwan Jones. They only got rid of them when they realized the offense needed a jolt or STs was terrible anyways
  5. Coaches most times are only as good as their QB. With that said Gase will have a much better chance in NY than Miami.
  6. Because he’s going to make like 900 K to essentially be a 2nd QB coach to Allen. If they make him a coach he’s not making that kind of bank and he’s have to put in more hours as acoach
  7. Pretty obvious that they wanted to keep Anderson around as a mentor to Allen. To me that makes a lot of sense. They give him 1 more year salary to basically be a really highly paid coach in the room. I think that’s part of the reason why it took him so long to get out of concussion protocol. I think they said well keep you on here, mentor Josh, we’ll deactivate you on game days. I think it will be much the same same next year. Can’t see even a developmental QB being drafted.
  8. MY biggest issue with a guy like Tyrell Williams, who I also like, is he reminds me of the Eric Decker type situations. A good # 2 guy who is going to get like 12-13 a year and be asked to be a teams # 1 when he’s not. He is allowed to be a good WR because he has Rivers throwing the ball and multiple other playmakers that take the attention off of him(Allen, Williams, Gordon, Gates). Now he’ll come to the Bills with a raw but developing QB, an aging McCoy or a rookie, Foster, McKenzie, Jones, and no TE as of right now and have all the attention on him. I think the smart play is to use the FA money on OL and Defensive issues, and draft your playmakers in the draft. WR, TE, RB in the first 3 rounds makes a lot of sense to me. It’s a stronger WR, TE draft than it is FA market
  9. I mean no one knew Brady was gonna be good, I can’t fault the Bills for that. The Pats passed on him like 8 times alone. Gronk overlook sucks, local guy big time TE took a bust. Every story leading up to that draft was that the Bills did try to trade up for Roethlisberger. They wanted to move up from 13 to 9 for the Jags pic but Jacksonville decided to stay and picked a WR who ended up being a bust from Washington, the name escapes me rn. After the Steelers took him the Bills settled for Evans and eventually traded up for Losman. Wilson pick also sucks because it ended up being TJ Graham. The fact the Jags took a Punter instead of Wilson is worse tho.
  10. He got worked by the Packers, the Jets, and he wasn't very good this week against the Lions either in the first half.
  11. 8 year old me was with my brother and Mom in the upper deck. I wanted to go home at halftime because of the cold and never thought they would come back. I begged and begged but my mother said we paid good money and we were going to stay no matter what happened. Best decision she ever made. The stadium emptied out so much that me and my brother went down to the lower deck as they were making their comeback. As we went out the concourse people were climbing the fences trying to get back in and eventually security gave up stopping people from getting back in. Great game and great memories. You can catch a 2 second glimpse of me on the 1993 vhs season review video they used to put out every year.
  12. It doesn't matter, it was better he was ruled down. The Jets offensive lineman recovered it in the endzone, they ended up scoring anyways so it didn't really make a difference.
  13. To me, imo the most valuable positions on a football field nowadays on Defense are DE and CB. You really need 2 very good CB's in this day and age. Guys who can lock down the best WR's. Then you need an elite pass rushers whether it be OLB's that can get after it or DE's. I wouldn't mind a Ferrell, or a Josh Allen. I just dont want a DT in round 1. I get it if there is an Aaron Donald you take him, but the chances of that are slim and the past drafts prove my point on that. Outside of Donald, Fletcher Cox, and Sheldon Rankins (guys who dominant as a run stopper and pass rusher) the only other elite DT's came out of the 2012 class in the last 7 or 8 years. 2017 No DT drafted in the first round 2016 Sheldon Rankins (Elite) Kenny Clark (Bust) Robert Nkemdiche (Bust) Vernon Butler (Bust) 2015 Danny Shelton (Bust) Malcolm Brown (Average) 2014 Aaron Donald (Elite) Dominique Easley (Bust) 2013 Sheldon Richardson (Good) Star Lotulelei (Solid) Shariff Floyd (Bust) Sylvester Williams (Bust) 2012 Dontari Poe (Good) Fletcher Cox (Elite) Michael Brockers (Good) 2011 Marcell Dareus (Average) Nick Fairley (Bust) Corey Liuget (Average) Phil Taylor (Bust)
  14. Whats the likelihood that happens though? That’s my whole point there isn’t a plethora of Aaron Donald’s running around the league. Your more likely to get a solid guy in round 2 or 3 than you are to get a difference maker in round 1 imo
  15. I think in this pass happy league with the best QBs and teams you have to have two shutdown corners. If that’s Williams then I have zero problem with it, but you better be ready to pay them when their contracts are up. We play the Pats and even tho Tom Brady is close to retirement I suspect they’ll be good for about another 2-3 years. Having Tre White, Williams, Johnson, and Wallace as a top 4 and Poyer and Hyde at safety with a hopefully developing Siran Neal make us the proper kryptonitr for the Pats in the future but also the Chiefs hopefully down the road. Just don’t take a LB or a DT in round 1 and I’m okay with it.
  16. Usually at this time of the year, bad teams start poaching young guys with potential. It could be simply the Bills knew someone was gonna claim him and they didn’t want to lose him.
  17. Weird how good QB play is making Daboll look like a genius this week.
  18. Ah yes! Isaac McKittrick FTW. Isaiah McKenzie was a good college player and it seems like the Broncos didn’t see enough to keep him on the 53
  19. I’m gonna let Danny Crossman and Juan Castillo go during the bye week, those are the two sacrificial lambs for this season imo
  20. I understand the Bills keeping DaBoll he was brought in with nothing can’t fire a guy for that. Crossman on the orher hand should be the sacrificial lamb. When the back end of your roster is covered with “premiere” STs guys like Andre Holmes, Julian Stanford, Deon Lacey etc and they are thst bad plus the exchanging of Punters, it’s time to go.
  21. I’d rather take a shot at getting Jameis Winston if I was going to go after a highly talented QB who doesn’t always play up to standards instead of Carr
  22. Dear Lord, the kid had a great game for sure, but this goes with how this world is now, where everyone immediately lauds or dumps on a guy immediately. He played the Raiders who are an absolute dumpster fire, the team had zero tape on him so they didn’t know his strengths and weaknesses. Have we learned nothing from Rob Johnson etc with guys who look great then get figured out once flaws show. Bills fans were ready to anoint Allen after the Vikes game.
  23. It wasn’t his play sheet. It was a random piece of paper covering the backside of the play sheet on top. It makes sense to do it. The Patriots and Bills schemes offensively probably are very similar and have a lot of the same terminology since Daboll came from that tree. Also we know the Patriots cheat so he was just protecting it
  24. I honestly think that would give a huge push to The University at Buffalo to be honest. Bills fans are passionate and will do anything for a winner obviously but I think Bills fans would get behind UB because they would need their football fix. Everyone has always said the tailgates mad stadium atmosphere are very College like.
  25. Boroquez is killing me tonight and not just for the dropped snap and 28 yard punt which obviously is not good. Two other punts he could have placed the Patriots inside the 10 yard line and made Brady drive the whole field. He failed to do that both times and the Pats got it at the 25. These se small things are what kill you against the Pats esp when your O sucks and your defense is completely hanging in there
