  1. I wonder if the Bills are actively trying to trade him. He’s def good enough to be an NFL kicker. I’d be really curious to see if he can punt. Gotta remember Pat McAfee was a college kicker who transitioned to Punting in the NFL.
  2. I think this mean shows where we are headed with the OL. Ford is the RG and Nsekhe is the RT. Nsekhe gets hurt, Ford bumps out to RT. Dawkins gets hurt, Nsekhe to LT, Ford to RT. The real question is who is the first guard, Feliciano or Long off the bench
  3. For the people who are saying Lawson, Jones, Foster I can sort of agree but at the same time those guys have value around the league. Im sure if the decision was to move on from any of those 3 they should be able to get some sort of draft pick compensation back. In the case of Jones and Lawson obviously we’d be losing in the value they were drafted at but I’m sure someone would take a shot to reinvent a young high round pick for say a 4th/5th rounder
  4. The offense has looked good, the defense hasn’t faced a starting QB yet. That’s what is holding me back on the extra excitement. So far so good def looking improved but I’m not all the way on the train yet to playoffville
  5. Thats exactly what their doing. My guess is that he actually has cleared it but they are just saying he’s still in it to avoid the media and questions why he’s not practicing if he’s cleared protocol. He’ll miraculously clear protocol my guess the week of the 3rd preseason game
  6. And Noah Fant drops the ball just like he did in College way too often
  7. I’ll give some additional insights to today’s practice since I was there. -Josh Allen looked really good today. He was pretty consistent on throwing to all levels. It seems he has a good connection with Brown and Beasley already. Beasley was talking Allen’s ears off on the sideline you could tell. Matt Barkley looked solid and efficient as a Backup should. Tyree Jackson looked like a guy running with the 3rd team, tho he did have a pretty deep ball in 11 on 11 -Devin Singletary looks good. Much quicker and shifty than his 4.66 would indicate. Yeldon looks big but average. McCoy still has some juice. -Beasley, if healthy, is going to lead the team in receptions. Flat out broke a dudes ankles in 1 on 1. Foster toasts a guy in 1-1 for a long Allen TD. Brown looks really good. Adjusts for a long ball TD from Allen in the middle of the field. A very difficult catch. -Knox looks thick and agile, Sweeney is huge but has more ability to catch balls than he gets credit for. Had a nice 20 yarder on a touch pass. Lee Smith doing what he does, blocking and false starting. -Oline looked okay today. Ford got worked some in 1 on 1s. First by Murphy, then by Johnson the 7th rounder. Speaking of Johnson, I can see why they took a flyer. Incredibly long with a great body type. Much like Edmunds just not as jacked with good athleticism but raw. - Ed Oliver didn’t really stand out in any way today. Defense was unspectacular but to be fair, a couple of the deep TDs today could have been counted as sacks because they were getting pressure. Edmunds is way better to start year 2. Looks quicker to react to run plays and still looks great as a pass defender. Stays with Beasley across the middle. Alexander looks athletic and ready to go for a 36 year old. -The secondary was rotating a lot of guys in practice. I thought the guys who had the best days were Taron Johnson, EJ Gaines and Cam Lewis. Blanketing guys all practice. - I don’t think David Sills or Nick Easley make the team or practice squad. Just too stiff. I was disappointed in the punting, particularly Cory Carter who was very good in training camp last year. Last note, I see twitter giving massive props for Allen starting 5 for 5 in practice today from various tweeters and bloggers. Yes he completed them, but it was clearly a walkthrough where the defense wasn’t actively trying to stop the offense. It was one of those pregame warmups where the offense executes and the defense doesn’t stop it but is in the right position
  8. I also watched the game again recently. I was probably 8 years old or so when it originally happened. The OP is right. The game was tremendously sloppy for two teams who didn’t punt. There were a lot of turnovers. I also felt as though from an athletic standpoint that the Bills defense wasn’t very good in the secondary during their SB years. I also watched the AFC title game in Miami before they lost to the Cowboys and despite winning, Kelly played horribly, the Bills left them in the game, and easily could have won that game by 30. Pretty easy to see the carry over in why they got steamrolled by the Cowboys
  9. If he did, the Berzerker and Mantaur would be the official Vikings mascots.
  10. I mean what’s the chances Fisher is successful in his transition. I get the blocking TE thing for him but he was a below average offensive lineman who will still be blocking DEs and he offers probably nothing in the passing game. Smith is still a hell of a blocking TE and at least offers something in the passing game. I fully suspect you’ll see Sweeney on the PS. Kroft is the all around guy, Knox is the pass catcher, Smith the Blocker, and Croom if he makes the roster(I suspect he would) would allow them to use Knox and him in passing situations
  11. I’m going to go QB- Allen, Barkley, Anderson RB- McCoy, Gore, Yeldon, Singletary FB-DiMarco WR- Foster, Jones, Roberts, Brown, Beasley, Williams TE- Kroft, Knox, Croom OL- Dawkins, Nsekhe, Ford, Morse, Long, Waddle, Spain, Teller Off- 25 DE- Hughes, Murphy, Lawson, Love DT- Loutelelei, Oliver, Phillips, Phillips LB- Edmunds, Alexander, Milano, Joseph, Stanford, Alexander, Lacey CB- Wallace, White, Johnson, Gaines, Johnson Saf- Hyde, Poyer, Bush, Johnson, Neal Def- 25 K- Hauschka P- Carter LS- Ferguson Specials- 3 PS- Jackson(QB), Nick Easley(WR), Sills(WR), Sweeney(TE)
  12. Nsekhe plays his best at LT, Beane notes that as well as Nsekhe himself, they clearly stated that they will start Ford at RT and he was a high second round pick meaning he will start and if he can handle RT he will. Dawkins struggles at LT last year and Beane mentioned him being unimpressed. Dawkins was a guy who was thought to be a Guard coming into the league. The whole thing is going to be new anyways. Idk that your argument for continuity at positions hold up anyways. If you bring in 7 new guys chances are things are going to be shuffled around
  13. I would think an extension for Jerry Hughes would be at the top of the priority list
  14. To me it’s nowhere near as funny when a guy is self recording himself for a reaction and attention on the internet. What made the Jets picks so funny over the years was seeing a 3rd party camera(ESPN) catching their reactions to their picks
  15. Derek Anderson comes down with a mysterious injury that requires him to go on IR with the possibility to return, Jackson goes to the Practice squad. Allen and Barkley active on game days. Jackson called up if an injury Weeks 1-7, Anderson can return after week 8
  16. The Way I think you put the best 5 on the field is: LT- Ty Nsekhe LG-Dion Dawkins OC- Mitch Morse RG-Spain/Long/Teller RT- Ford
  17. I’ll also be curious to see if they leave a spot open for another FA signing(Ansah)
  18. I know we only technically have 5 roster spots left but it is conceivable that they sign more and release current guys on the 90.
  19. Emmanuel Hall is signing with the Bears according to his twitter
  20. For you UB guys, James O’Hagan the Center is going to the Giants
  21. https://www.rotoworld.com/college-football/nfl-draft/player/39983/nick-easley
  22. Easley had minimal production at Iowa because of the offense obviously focused on running and TEs. Apparently he dominated his pro day and tested off the charts including running an insane 3 cone. Very similar mindset as the Knox pick
  23. Tyree Jackson has serious accuracy issues, Johnson had trouble separating from DBs in the MAC, and Hodge ran a 5 flat at his pro day
  24. Good pick by NO there with Elliss versatile guy, ran a 4.6 at the combine, raw at LB because he was used as a TE as well at Idaho
  25. To me Sweeney is like Jesse James. Slow, won’t stretch the field but will block well and find underneath holes in coverage to be a chain mover
