Tanking for Trevor whos your pick
gonzo1105 replied to ScorpionZero's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There is some talk they may take Tua at 2. I’m sure if they are as bad as I think they are going to be there is no way they’d keep Haskins over Lawrence. -

I gotta think the Redskins have to be the early favorite -
Is Beane done with FA yes/no ?
gonzo1105 replied to Don Otreply's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think your going to start seeing smaller signings like under 5 a year etc. Prob a RB, CB depth things like that -
If he was willing to come in as a backup? Hell yes I would. He clearly has the talent to play at a high level in the league. He would be a guy who could win you games in the NFL, not sure Barkley could win us 50% over the long term. He has his flaws no doubt about it, but if you can cut down the INTs just a touch your telling me you wouldn’t take a backup QB who can light teams up. Plus he did get Lasix this offseason lol, maybe he was throwing to who he thought was on his team

Anyone think we still go WR in Round 2
gonzo1105 replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think OLB is a spot they can take. If they want a more explosive player I could see a guy supplanting Klein. Duggar would make sense. CB,WR, RB and DE would be other positions -

I find it interesting that Vernon Butler and Quinton Jefferson signed at the same time pretty much. Last year Beasley and Brown signed at the same time. If I recall correctly, Beane said something like he wanted them both at the same time so the signing of one of them wouldn’t scare off the other one. He must have done the same thing here with the DTs and speaks to the organization level that he executes things at. -
Tom Brady to TB - 2Yrs, $50M all gtd no trade clause

I wonder if the Patriots will call up the Indianapolis Colts to see if they can get Jacoby Brissett back from the Colts. It would be a good fit, a guy who is familiar with their system, has starting experience in the NFL and is now a backup in Indianapolis -
The biggest difference for the people complaining about the Diggs and Hopkins compensation comparison is that Hopkins is going to get a new deal probably in the 21-23 million dollar AAV. The Bills gave up a 1st rounder because Diggs will essentially take up half of that allowing for the Bills to spread out their cap to other positions. Much harder on the salary cap when you’d be paying Tre White 18-20 a year, Josh Allen 30-40 a year, and D’Andre Hopkins 20 plus. With a cap of 200 million, you’d be paying those 3 almost 80 million dollars or roughly 40-45% of your cap and you still need to give Dawkins and Edmunds big money in the near future

Bills sign LB AJ Klein 3yrs $18M
gonzo1105 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I always liked Klein for some reason, esp in Carolina. Solid player. I’ll wait to see how the numbers shake out but the way Beane does business I’m sure it will be essentially a 2 year deal with a lot of escalators -

I’m surprised there has been nothing on DJ Reader so far. The Bills M.O. has been super tight with no leaks(didn’t have any outside of Frank Gore), and nothing on Reader has me thinking the Bills are in on him. Thought he’d be one of the first guys to go. -

Thats because Beane isn’t going to sign guys to ridiculous contracts who are average football players. The Spain deal is a great indicator, 5 mill a year but only 4.5 guaranteed and can get out of it after a year. Many aren’t looking for that type of contract on Day 1 -
Trapasso Big name DL about to be traded and paid
gonzo1105 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A guy on twitter says a big 49ers trade coming up. They have already paid Armstead and Dee Ford and will have to pay Bosa. I think the big time Dlineman who is going to get paid could be DeForest Buckner -
Predict Shaq Lawson's contract
gonzo1105 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m thinking 3 years 28 million with about 15 guaranteed -
I think the Kroft and Star restructurings of opening up future money is more for Tre Whites and Dion Dawkins contracts
-
Basically the Bills guaranteed his contract this year of 3.6 million out of the paycut. Got rid of the 3rd year so basically the Bills have him more guaranteed money probably locking him in from 2020 but have the flexibility to get out from under his contract

Name 3 FA WR who interest you...Go!
gonzo1105 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Like who? Beasley and Brown aren’t going anywhere. Andre Roberts stays for STs, McKenzie stays over either of those guys. So really we’re talking Duke Williams or Robert Foster(who wasn’t even really active most of the time). I think Duke has a much higher upside than Latimer at this point and Perriman has only had a. 1/2 good season in the NFL. If we’re talking Robert Foster than sure I guess they would take his spot on the inactives. 2 draft picks would in the first 4 rounds conceivably take McKenzie and Duke/Fosters spot in the roster or at worse McKenzie and Williams. The WR corps looks a lot better with Brown, Beasley, Jefferson(1st round) , Duke Williams, Andre Roberts, and a 4th rounder with STs capabilities than it does with either of those guys taking Williams spot. -

Amari Cooper and AJ Green are the only two guys who I believe can come in and unseat someone. Perriman or Latimer types aren’t going to beat our McKenzie who has been with this offense for multiple years. Its a bad year for Free Agent WRs. They need to draft two guys in the first 4 rounds imo -
As an FSU fan, what Cam Akers did behind FSUs abysmal offensive line was short of amazing. He has all the tools. He has breakaway speed, cutting ability, inside or outside the tackles, great pass catcher. His only knock is really his pass pro. He should be a 2nd rounder but if he drops to the 3rd he would be a great compliment to Singletary or vice versa

Burrow - Bengals have top pick, but I have leverage
gonzo1105 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well his only real choice if the the Bengals draft him is sitting out a year and reentering the draft in 2021. If he does that he’ll be 25 at the end of his first year and 30 at the end of his first contract if he’s good. He isn’t a 21 year old he’d be prudent to start his career right away to try squeezing two big contracts out before he’s done -
Name 3 Guys You Want To See The Bills Draft In 2020
gonzo1105 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’ll start with Justin Jefferson from LSU, just think he’s one of those underrated guys in the process that becomes a star in the league like DAndre Hopkins Cam Akers from Florida State. His Oline was horrendous, still put up 1,000 yard seasons and big plays in the run and pass game. Would be an awesome 1-2 punch Alex Taylor South Carolina State. Awesome 3-5 rounder who has all the measurable to be a big time NFL tackle. Small school will hurt him but he could play LT or RT after we get the rawness out -
I think I’d be more inclined to give him the transition tag at 12 million and if someone else offers big money then you let him go. The only way I would franchise him would be if I had the intention of trading him but I can’t see him going for more than a couple mid rounders

The plan to replace Lorenzo Alexander?
gonzo1105 replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think a guy who makes a ton of sense is Kyler Fackrell. Won’t command huge money, just hitting his prime at 28. 6’5 245 and is a pure Sam LB that can rush the passer a bit
