I think Bullock would work on the inside of a 3-4 but geez Posluszny on the ouside in a 3-4 would be terrible.
-
7th rounder at best. Robert Royal doesn't count either because we released him. We also signed Ryan Fitzpatrick, Drayton Florence. We will either get a 7th rounder or nothing
-
If Eric Berry is there we should be trading down.

He had terrible lateral movement at the senior bowl and was a holding machine during the senior bowl game. His future is inside at Guard and will never be a successful LT

Terrence Cody a "Sloppy" 370 Pounds at Senior Bowl

Don't be surprised if the Bills switch to a 3-4 defense this year if the Bills trade down and take Dan Williams from Tennessee....He is a much more cut 325 and is more then capable of filling the NG role in a 3-4. His stock will definetely rise as time goes on. -
I would also like Clifton. He is getting up in age but he would definetely solidify the left side of the offensive line. I dont think he would demand too much on the open market becuase he did have an injury last year and his age is catching up to him. I would think 4 or 5 million a year would get it done for him on a 2 year deal with a decent signing bonus.

bills should draft qb Mike Kafka in the 4th round
gonzo1105 replied to freester's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Kafka is Ryan Fitzpatrick....An adequate arm but nothing too great. I like NW spread but that is another disadvantage. He has a high completion percentage because he throws a lot of short crossing routes, and bubble and jailbreak screens. He had a good game today but he wont be anything more than a backup in the NFL and would be a waste of a 4th round pick imo with so many needs on this team. -
[please fix subject]The Draft

Compensatory picks dont just work with oh you lose a good player you get a compensatory pick. Its a complex formula which over the years has proven that its mostly predicated on FA's gained and FA's lost from the previous years. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills didn't receive any pick and if they did it would probably be no more than an extra 7th rounder. -
QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, RB Dominic Rhodes, WR Terrell Owens, G Seth McKinney, C Geoff Hangartner, ILB Pat Thomas, CB Drayton Florence. QB J.P. Losman, TE Robert Royal, G Derrick Dockery, G Jason Whittle, C Duke Preston, C Melvin Fowler, OLB Angelo Crowell, OLB Blake Costanzo, ILB John DiGiorgio, ILB Teddy Lehman, CB Jabari Greer, CB Dustin Fox. Now the players at the top are the players we signed and the bottom are players we lost. Owens still counts as a FA gained for us but will not net the cowboys any type of work towards their compensation becuase he was released. If you take a look at the players we lost because we released them we will not get any value towards compensation picks...so for instance Robert Royal, Derrick Dockery are two that will not count towards the loss column. For instance i'm not sure if Dominic Rhodes or Pat Thomas count towards ours because they never played a down for us. Also, players who obviously weren't signed do not count towards compensatory picks. This list includes Losman(not sure if he counts for us considering he played for the Raiders), Whittle, DiGiorgio, Lehman, Fox. So accounting all of that we gained Fitzpatrick, Owens, McKinney, Hangartner, and Florence We lost Preston, Crowell, Costanzo, Greer. The formula over the years has predominately been towards FA's gained and FA's lost. We had 4 out of the 5 players get significant playing time in Fitz, Owens, Han, and Florence while the players we have lost have not seen much playing time at all in Preston(backup), Crowell(season ending injury), Costanzo(ST's), and one guy who played a big role Greer. Looking at it dont expect a compensatory pick at all and if we do end up getting one it wont be anything significant at most a 6th rounder but more likely a 7th rounder or nothing.

The pistol offense is kind of the new thing at the college level. It where the QB stands in a mini-shotgun look. QB is usually 5 yards back on shotgun snap and are now at more like 3 yards. The Running Back stands directly behind the QB at about 7 yards so its sort of like a modified I formation without the FB

If we need an "established" QB.....
gonzo1105 replied to filthymcnasty08's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just thought about this but why not talk to Minnesota about possibly trading for Sage Rosenfels. I know that the Vikings traded for him last year but with Favre there for another year, the possibility of drafting a QB to replace him, and Tavaris Jackson there he might be available and he would be better then probably everyone on that list outside of Moore. -
The reason why he doesn't get to show off is because Saban doesn't let him just free lance and let him do what he wants. McClain's job for that defense is to put everyone in the right position and clean up everything there. If you didn't notice in the game he doesn't blitz very much he drops a lot into coverage. He almost had a leaping INT last night. If I had to say that the guy has a weakness it would be his blitzing. At times , I thought he looked very lazy coming in for a blitz. I dont know if he was waiting for something to set up or not but I thought he could have done a better job then that. He is good at run stuffing and dropping into coverage. He leads his defense and isn't required to be Mr. Everything.

I looked over reports of the trade and I have not seen anything that has said it was conditional...all I have read was its just a plain 6th rounder this year. The Simpson pick is a undisclosed late round pick.....it could be 5-7 but if I recall they said it was either a 6th or 7th round pick
-
As of this moment we have 9 draft picks ...our 7 plus a 6th rounder for Peters and an additional late round pick from the Lions for Ko Simpson

I just watched Coach Jauron's PC from today.
gonzo1105 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with your assessment on him being a good person. I have never liked Coach Jauron as a coach but I was at the pro football hall of fame ceremony and had floor seating and there he was right in front of me. He talked with all the fans and signed autographs that everyone had asked. Then a person who was disabled came up to him and in a wheelchair. The child just wanted a picture with him and instead of just standing there he got on his knees to the child's level to take the picture. I know to some this seems insignificant but it was also pouring out that day before the hall of fame and he was in a what was probably a pretty expensive suit. -
I have been to Arrowhead before in 2003 I believe when the Bills were horrible and the Chiefs won 38-5. The Chiefs fans were pretty nice to me there because um well they won by a lot. Tailgaiting looks awesome around the stadium and its right off the high way. Tickets aren't that hard to come by either especially this year. Dont know where to stay but overall a pretty good experience. Only away game i've ever been too

i'll be in section 202 which I believe is in the Rockpile -
Yea, but comp picks are based on net gain vs net lose Net Gain Derrick Docker 7 yrs 49 Langston Walker 5 yrs 25 Jason Whittle 1 yr 720,000 Net Loss Nate Clements 8 yrs 80 London Fletcher 5 yrs 25 Mike Gandy 3 yrs ??? Not saying we will get anything special but as of now were in decent shape to at least get a late rd pick.

Can't really complain about that schedule really. Saints will be a tough test for like a drive or two until the backups come in and we get a possibility for some confidence boosters with Detroit at the end see if we can win that.

Roy Manning was the LB we picked up from the Packers last year for those that couldn't remember his name. I dont believe anyone is willing to part on a first day pick for Spikes I'd gladly take something like we did with Willis this year. Lets say grab a 4th rounder in this years draft and a 5th rounder in next years draft or something along them lines. These are how the Patriots do it every year. Then they trade their 2nd rounder for a 2008 first rounder or things such as that. Thats why the Patriots have a lot of depth, and its apparent Buffalo is remodeling the team the way Marv wants it. These players dont fit under it and I think as of right now Marv wants to field a competitive team that can grow into a dominant one in future years. This will probably upset Bills fans cause they want the Bills in the playoffs NOW!

I dont care who's on the board. I call up the Bears and offer pick # 12 for # 31 and Lance Briggs then at 31 I take Chris Houston CB Arkansas 2nd rounder- Justin Harrell DT Tennessee 3rd rounder A- Antonio Pittman RB Ohio State 3rd rounder B- Justin Durant LB Hampton
-
even if Willis wasn't bashing Buffalo and was saying Toronto is a beautiful city and expansion should be thought about , he is still too dumb to realize how close Toronto is too Buffalo and how it would screw the Bills over anyways.

Patrick Willis is a better LB and a better fit for the Bills
