I think the idea of Thomas Davis makes sense, but the Bills had their chance to sign him and they didn't(or he decided to go elsewhere) and signed Klein. They do need help at CB and LB. I think if you want another LB you call up Alexander and offer him a contract. I think a trade for a CB is much more likely than at LB.

Two Bills scouts in attendance to watch QB Trey Lance
gonzo1105 replied to DJB's topic in College Football
They may not have been looking at Trey Lance, NDSU has an early round OT Dillon Radunz who some people think will be a late 1st or 2nd round pick. Would make sense with Williams on a 1 year , and Nsekhe on the last year of his deal with Ford permanently at Guard -

Hypothetical: Chances we regret losing Daboll?
gonzo1105 replied to jletha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a reason Ken Dorsey has been on this staff for the last two years. Daboll gets a HC gig, Dorsey has learned his system and gets promoted to OC while retaining QB duties. Its super easy to see whats going on. McDermott knew this day would come and had a plan in place for it. -

Gameday Thread Bills @ Raiders 2nd Half

Jonathan Abram reminds me of Jamal Adams. Talented but doesn't play up to the level of his ability and thinks he's the best player on the field when he clearly isn't -
Gameday Thread Bills @ Raiders 1st Half
gonzo1105 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the Bills thought that the Raiders were going to come out and run the ball and they were selling out for that in the first half. I'm curious to see what kind of adjustments they make here in the 2nd half. All i know is they can't come out super flat in the 3rd quarter like they have. Gotta make it happen here on the road vs a good team who is hurting. -
Dude, i'm sorry but its pretty clear with 16 members of the organization that someone on that football team went out and broke protocol. I know there is an incubation period but I find it hard to believe that they got it from a child in their house etc. None of the Vikings so far have tested positive which means it happened sometime after Sunday. Someone hit up a bar, a club, something.

I don't believe for a second that he was going to keep the team in Buffalo at least for the long term and him jabbing the city clearly leaves even little doubt about that being true. Glad it went to the Pegulas and glad the Bills are finally flourishing in Buffalo. -

Two super tough games coming up with the Raiders and Titans
gonzo1105 replied to tomur67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get this but our next two opponents have created an interesting scenario as it comes to Covid and the potential impact that could happen on the Bills. The Raiders have broken numerous protocols including their coach being fined, having an unauthorized person(people) in their locker room and then most recently having multiple members of their team indoors without masks on in a large gathering. Then the next opponent the Titans currently have 9 players positive. If the Bills are gonna catch something, odds are the next two weeks are the strongest it happens. -
Fitzpatrick says his favorite NFL city is ... Buffalo
gonzo1105 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know this was said in jest, but it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he is brought in to be a backup to Allen next year. Seems like a logical end of career situation for Fitzpatrick and makes sense for a contending Bills team in case anything happens to Allen. With that said, Fitzpatrick always seems to find himself in the ideal situation to make as much of his new cities opportunities and probably will find himself in the same role he has always been in as a placeholder on a bad franchise for a new QB to take over. -
Happy with the win, not happy with the coaching staff
gonzo1105 replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with all of this, but games are won by offense at least in the regular season. No team can't be caught on the wrong week. The Cards lost to the Lions, the Saints lost to the Raiders, The Chiefs were on the brink vs the Chargers. Even the best teams are giving up points. The Seahawks have given up 31 and 30 the last two weeks and everyone thinks they are the NFC favorite. -
Happy with the win, not happy with the coaching staff
gonzo1105 replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wonder how much was taken out of them from the week before playing in that heat in Miami. The Bills defense I mean. They had to play in scorching heat, their banged up at key spots(Edmunds, Milano, Johnson), and then have to play a great offensive team who controlled the clock and kept them on the field. That can't be easy and they have to go out west next week and go play in the heat again in Las Vegas, just an observation I thought of. They got lucky today but hey they are 3-0 and may have just beaten the best team in the NFC. I wont complain there was many a season where I would have taken this win 10/10 times. -
Man the Seahawks for as good as Wilson is and that offense is are just as terrible on defense. I get they have a lot of injuries and got a guy ejected but yikes their letting the Patriots mediocre weapons have their way with them.

Week 2 Bills @ Dolphins Postgame Thread
gonzo1105 replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched McDermott's zoom press conference and man despite the win he looked like he was on edge like he didn't really want to talk to the reporters. To me it was like he was so disappointed in the defense, or he wasn't feeling great or something. Just an observation I noticed. Did anyone else notice it to or is it just me? I know in the past when he was disappointed with the defense he displayed it in a press conference i can't remember the game though. -
Who gets promoted when Daboll becomes a HC?
gonzo1105 replied to Bangarang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think they hired Ken Dorsey with this in mind in case Daboll became a head coach. For system and continuity sakes I gotta believe its Ken Dorsey's job. -
I think your going to see Gesicki matched up with Neal and you might get to see Jaquan Johnson more this week just a hunch.
-
If one of White, Wallace or Johnson goes down it’s actually fairly easy. Neal goes to CB and Marlowe replaces him as the down player. Marlowe has had a lot of game experience the last couple of years on and off so he is good depth to come in. Also could be time to see what Jaquan Johnson has who played well albeit in week 17 against the Jets last year
-
I wonder if you see Siran Neal and the big nickel a lot this week. Big enough to play WLB and good cover guy . He’s about as close a guy to Milano as you can get. Play 5 DBs most of the game with Neal as the hybrid. I also think you see Milano out but Dodson and Edmunds playing. Dodson I think would get the start over Klein but Klein would play obvious run downs
-
I gotta think it’s minor and he’ll be fine. I think the staff is being overly cautious with guys and rightfully so. Usually these guys get 4 games to slowly ramp up to full game speed and they didn’t get that this year. Gonna see a lot of injuries and pulls, soreness this 1st month of the season in particular

Every year the Steelers defense gets propped up like its super special. I remember laughing my ass off last year as the Patriots shredded them and embarrassed them on opening night. The problem is the Giants are a team that plays right into what they do well. They have a great front 7 who can stop the run(which they did), the Giants have a terrible offensive line, and they have very few weapons on the outside to force the Steelers to back up a little bit. Plus the QB is still a question mark. I'll wait until they play a team with weapons on the outside, cause everytime that happens, the Steelers lay an egg on defense.
