Will be exciting to see what happens between Shavers and Shorter. Same position, similar build and potentially both are prized for an ST role at a minimum. Makes you wonder if both can make it…?I'd say its likely because I don't think they are going to keep 7 LB's like Sal C thinks, one of Matakevich, Klein, or Dodson isn't making this team with Milano, Williams, Bernard, and Spector laying around as well. I think that is an area where both Shorter and Shavers can make the team. These two if they are as good as they say at ST's would be cheaper options than Veterans like Siran Neal etc.

Just wanted to bring this back up:
Biggest Reach: Dawand Jones OT Ohio State
I was off by 63 picks when I took Jones in this draft. Couldn't have predicted his fall before all the work ethic concerns came out.
Biggest Steal: Brodric Martin DT Western Kentucky
Its funny, the least research I did on a player netted me the best gain. I picked Martin 110 picks after he was actually selected in the draft.
Biggest Hits:
Martin +110
Martin +44
Saldiveri + 34
Biggest Misses:
Jones -63
Brown- 58
Scott - 52
My delta score was +4 giving me an insanely average draft position value. Not great, not terrible.
I also did one for the 49ers later on and it was much better.
My only big bust in that one was Jaelyn Duncan(apparently I need to reevaluate scouting Tackles)
Everyone else was positive as I draft Riley Moss, Luke Schoonmaker, Jake Moody, Viliami Fehoko, Jake Andrews, Charlie Jones all with positive delta scores giving me a + 159 for my 49ers draft which would have been a steal considering they had no 1st or 2nd round picks

How about Patrick Chung, or Kyle Dugger. Both were considered huge reaches when BB drafted them. Chung had a very good career and Dugger is a top Safety.
Duggar wasn’t a reach some people were talking about him in the 2nd round. There was actually a strong rumor out there that the Bills were going to take him in round 2 but NE beat them to the punch-

I have a 21 month old son right now. I couldn’t imagine the place hes in rn because I don’t think I’d have the motivation to go on if something like that happened

Interesting one. If he had been a 4th round draft pick, his NFL statistics would look very good. But he has a tremendously long career and is 10th in points for a career. So I think he qualifies as going on to success. And he was definitely considered a reach.
Go look at the guys picked after him in the first and second very few went on to be successful-

Dorian Williams deserved to be a 3rd round pick. The asinine people comparing him to Bernard didnt and don’t know what they’re talking about. Williams is very much in the mold of a Shaq Thompson. I def didn’t think that last year with Bernard

He also said he was frustrated his picks didn’t match a DTs value in the draft . Says they will sign a vet this week. I wonder who? I know Poona Ford was mentioned a lot but who’s out there and have any played for the Bills previously

I absolutely love the dedication to the OL in this draft and free agency
As an FSU fan I can rarely say anything good about UF but they did have a very good OL this year that was very experienced.-

I expect DTs and WRs to be the focus.

Still 2 monster DTs out there
Doesn’t make sense to draft a DT now. You want to be able to sign multiple higher priority DTs as UDFAs. If you draft one now that may push another to another team.
Take two guys that we have good depth in that you know wouldn’t sign here as UDFAs because our depth is strong
-
I said in the draft thread it’s obvious by the trade downs that the Bills draft board was tapped out.
if that’s true, it makes sense for the Bills to draft guys that they have good depth in because they will never be able to convince Broeker to come here as a UDFA with all the Guards we have.
It’s easier to convince DTs to come here after you show them you have none signed after this year. Drafting a DT this late deters other DTs from coming in as UDFAs

Broeker is a solid pick after all that trading down. Makes me wonder if they were considering taking Vorhees

If you want an indictator of how weak this draft is as well just look at all the specialists getting drafted. This is one year after Ryan Stonehouse couldn’t get drafted and is now a Punter in the NFL

Let’s see what we can get for 230 maybe like 251 and a 2024 7th rounder

RD 3, Pick 91: LB Dorian Williams, Tulane

He's a very good prospect. It just shows a lack of knowledge on the casual fans part to judge a guy based on twitter rants, media etc. without every seeing the guy take an actual snap. The snap judgement and comparison to Bernard is lazy because their measurables are a like but that's about the only thing they have in common. Williams is a much better prospect than Bernard.
I loved Williams and in my day 2 mock actually had him going 83rd so I think the Bills got decent value on the pick and took him right around where I expected him to go.
