Yay for excitement for somebody we hope never plays a game.

Some of you guys are insufferable man. The cap hit isn't even big. Some of you are stuck in the 90's when it comes to the cap. When McGovern signed 80% of this board was like wow thats too much because they think guards still make 3-4 million a year when the top guys are signing for over 20 and a lot of the top other guys make between 10 and 15. McGovern is like the 21st highest paid guard right now and by the contract is up he'll probably be around 30. Thats cheap if you think he's a good starting guard in the NFL. The Hardy contract is UP TO 13.5 million dollars. Which means he's not guaranteed to get all 13.5 unless he's playing really well. Its less than a 4 million cap hit. Its basically 9.5 million over 2 years or 4.75 million a year with the opportunity to make more.

I like when Free Agency opens because you tend to get updates on who is visiting where , which gives you an actual indication of interest. The Bills in the past, when linked to a player on twitter, are rarely if ever, actually going after them. That’s why I’m hesitant on the David/Wagner news cause any random Joe can see we have a hole at MLB and those two are the big name guys remaining

I still don’t think Poyer is coming back. It will take a big chunk of ego to come back to the Bills on a discount vs another team
-
All I know is if Elijah Moore gets released the Bills will try to sign him. The Bills were very close to taking him in the draft and he would crush it with Allen if he can get his head on straight after having to deal with Zach Wilson
-
I think what he’s saying is it appears Beane doesn’t restructure unless he has something in the boat that he has to pay for.
-
To defend him Taylor was bad before this season and he still wasn’t great. Chiefs are banking on the player they can coach him up to be more than the play he has shown to this point

7 million dollars for a Guard isn’t that much nowadays. He’d be the 19th highest paid guard before Powers contract he’s probably going to be the 21-23rd highest paid guard in the nfl

Bills have shown interest in Lavonte David.

You don’t dedicate 10 million a season to a 32 year old safety who last year started showing his age in coverage and with his body(multiple injuries). This is the perfect time to walk away from him -
Basically a lot like McGovern. Stuck behind Warner and Greenlaw as the 3rd LB. Greenlaw got hurt in 2021 and Al-Shaahir stepped in and didn’t miss a beat. 49ers signed Greenlaw to an extension basically leaving no spot and has been a really good backup last year. 25 years old looking for a chance to step out of the shadows

Smart of Edmunds to ask for a 4 year deal so he can cash in again before he’s old. He’ll get another contract at 28 or 29
-
I like it only if because his contract will qualify for the comp formula so he'll negate McGovern with Edmunds, Poyer, and Singletary most likely finding new homes.

Jordan Poyer Discussion - Does he stay?
gonzo1105 replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
No he’s not staying unless he finds out his market is more dry than he thinks. I honestly think he’ll get a deal like Matthieu last year. 3 years 30 million -
I’ve literally said all 3 of these things for months. You dont resign big money safeties for 10+ million a year when they’re 32. If anything this past year, where Poyer had multiple injuries is an indicator they shouldn’t do that. I wouldn’t be against Edmunds but if your going to pay him than 20 million a year for a guy who doesn’t affect top QBs than no thanks. I’m sure he doesn’t get enough credit but that’s bad asset allocation. I am an FSU fan, Ramsey was excellent at the beginning of his career in Jacksonville. He is still a good CB I’m not saying he sucks but has been declining for the last 2 years in my opinion. His name keeps overvaluing him. Id actually say you doom and gloom. How are the Bills supposed to add more Allen weapons if they’re paying two LBs, Two Safeties, a DE, and a DT over 10 million a year. It’s not feasible. I suspect you’ll see the Bills go offense heavy.

He’s overrated. I don’t care if they get him. They still can’t rush the passer

I also would like Dillard on a flyer but are the Bills willing to move Dawkins to LG. Dawkins would be the 6th highest Guard in the league as it stands right now
