In addition to my other guys that I earlier stated in Saldiveri, Brooks, Mapu, Nic Jones, and Jake Andrew’s, I’m also looking at guys like: Darrell Luter Jr from South Alabama who I think is a 4th rounder Viliami Fehoko DE from San Jose State Habakkuk Baldonado DE Pitt

Yup, i've been saying this for awhile, in an ideal world Stefon Diggs goes into the slot and we find a guy who can stretch the field vertically on the outside. Thats why I have been in the Jalin Hyatt camp this whole time. Diggs can get vertical but he's not that guy, him working the underneath and intermediate areas as he ages will benefit him and the Bills, Davis can get vertical but has no intermediate game. Its either deep or extremely short and I don't expect him here after this year. Hyatt provides that take the top off the defense which will allow guys like Diggs, Shakir, Knox and whoever else to work that short to intermediate. I'm not advocating for Hyatt at 27 at all but with a trade down in the first or a trade up in the 2nd then sure.

Yup, I hated the pick on draft day and still do. Wasn't a big fan of the Elam pick either. He was decent for a rookie year 1 but he still has to prove he was worth the first round pick. Probably the trade up for Sammy Watkins would be the first thing to come to mind. Whitner and Maybin sucked as picks cause I wanted someone else but they weren't like shocking why the hell did we take him.

Who are considered the "Can't Miss" prospects in the draft this year?
gonzo1105 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'll be honest with you, I dont think there is one guy in this draft that is a Can't Miss prospect. Carter is about as close as it gets but he's obviously got some character stuff. I am not sold nearly as highly on Will Anderson as others are. He is def a top 10 guy in this draft but he has dominant games and then he disappears for stretches. -
Yup, I got you. I commented above about it after the fact. Think he'll be a great STer in the NFL

We do these sleeper things every year and then the thread ends up being about guys everyone has heard of or guys going in the first couple of rounds. Those are not sleeper picks. Mingo, Bryce Ford Wheaton etc. everyone has heard of those guys if you even remotely pay close attention to college football/combine. Combine guy who was a former FB. Might be a hell of a ST in the NFL with his traits. Just didn't see it on film as an every down LB even with Development despite the killer athletic attributes. Correction not a combine guy but killed the MSU pro day.

Draft Prospect Interviews with Bills - Post 'em here
gonzo1105 replied to Yantha's topic in The Stadium Wall
im wrong a lot, but I also don’t get on here when the Bills don’t choose the guy rated 16th on Joe Bs board at 59 because the writer decided they would be a good player. You only hear about the guys who in hindsight were successful. The DK Metcalfs, Russell Wilson’s etc. You don’t see anyone complaining 5 years later about the guy rated 16 and went 70th and ended up being terrible -

Ok again give me the guys 320 plus that can do those things on a consistent basis. I'll even give in that can collapse pockets while taking on double teams. Tell me where they were drafted. Vita Vea top 15, Dexter Lawrence top 25, Daron Payne top 15, maybe D.J. Reader ....there are probably at most 10 guys in the entire NFL that meets all your criteria...their unicorns. -

Tell me the dominant DT's in this league who can both rush the pass passer and stop the run then tell me where they were drafted that are above 320. Vita Vea? ...Quinnen Williams is only 305, Chris Jones isn't 320, Aaron Donald isn't close, Simmons 305....There aren't guys out there 320 plus who rush the passer with success its a fallacy. -

Or you can evaluate players on your own and come to your own consensus just saying, but everyone wants to be lazy then act aghast at the team after they don’t choose a guy. It’s the same way in college ball, how dare this coach not go after a 5 star player -

Or guys people believe are first round grades aren’t really and will be available at 59. Too many draft board warriors dead set because the consensus says they are Luter is another prospect I really like. Most boards have him a 5th-6th round grade but I have a high round 4 grade on him. Fits the new mold of CB who can play man and zone that McDermott seems to be looking for -
TSW 1.0 Draft Poll - Who should the Bills select at #59
gonzo1105 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
I mean its between Benton and Kraft for me but there is a bigger need at DT now especially since this board took Addison in the first round as the weapon. -

There aren’t many dominant 320 pound DTs anymore. The game has changed. Most 320 guys can’t get to the QB which is why you see DTs getting smaller. The top guys with those attributes go top 15 -
Everyone on this list makes sense from a Bills perspective with maybe the exception of Dell now. Mapu is a dude at Sac State. Very much a big Nickel/Matt Milano type. Can do multiple things and can’t believe he wasn’t invited to the combine. Reminds me of Jeremy Chinn He did tear his pec after the combine so he might be a medical recheck/stash guy for part of the year.

Campbell -2nd round grade, Daiyon Henley 3rd round, Dorian Williams 3rd-4th round. Those are the other top guys. Sanders and Simpson are more edge guys

Cover 1 Just put out a new Mock Draft, Edge round 1.
gonzo1105 replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall
If you think Edge has a high bust rate, you should see the LBs drafted in the first round in the last 10 years -
Harty is essentially in a 1 year deal and David is also a FA. Beane always talks about YAC yards and Hyatt provides that. He also has a high ceiling and is one of the few guys that can play outside that can go in round 1. Diggs is better suited to play inside as he ages. Hyatt needs development but he is a much better fit than Flowers, Downs, and Addison are because they are destined to be slot guys in the NFL. Im pretty much resigned that the Bills pick will either be WR, TE, OL, or DT. I do not believe that a LB will be drafted if the Bills stay at 27
-
The guy I keep coming back to for the Bills is one of the two UT guys. Darnell Wright or Jalin Hyatt both just make too much sense
-
If the Bills trade up to get Jack Campbell at say 20 or 21, Brandon Beane should be fired. I'm not big on hyperbole but taking him at 27 will be bad enough but trading additional assets for a guy who is a 2nd round pick all day even in a weak draft would have me lose massive trust in him.

He is not Rob Gronkowski. For all the catches, Gronkowski was a hell of a blocker, something that LaPorta is not. Laporta reminds me of a Noah Fant type. -
I always find Sinister and the Descent to be good horror movies.

Makes me think its not true if a rumor about the Bills is coming out 3 weeks before the draft. Every Bills rumor that has leaked early about something has been false. Are they making cursory phone calls to move up, yea probably. Everyone has eyes for moving up and moving down they make all of these calls in advance. I heard they called some people in front of them and the prospects they need aren't going to be there at 27 so I'm going to put two and two together. This is what I'm taking out of this
