I think a real dark horse , if the Bills go the OL route in round 1 is Joe Tippmann from Wisconsin. Beane has always valued the Center position in Carolina and when he came to Buffalo he signed Morse. If you want to get bigger and stronger on the offensive line the one obvious area is Center and since Morse is out after this year Tippmann would make a lot of sense. Benches and squats a ton, would be in the top 5% in size amongst NFL Centers and hits the Bills midwestern blue collar type. No he’s not 21 but he did just turn 22 like last month so he’s very close. I also have stated before that if you look at history, Centers tend to rise as the draft gets closer

Can't say I'm surprised on the Kincaid thing. To me he is the clear # 1 TE in this draft. I don't believe he makes it to either the Cowboys or Bills but man i'd love to get my hands on the guy. QB's always rise so the Hooker thing doesn't surprise me. He also has supposedly been a fan favorite of teams in interviews with his ability to process and how he answers leadership questions.

While I don't disagree lets not act like Deion is gonna pull 5 5 Stars and 15 4 stars like the big dogs do. He has 4 commitments right now 3 Stars and a 4 Star DT Omar White who has been charged with 3 felonies. He's going to get some transfers he's gonna recruit some 4 and 3 stars like the rest of the non power Power 5 schools and have to build his way up like everyone else.

Def a raw player and yes better in a 3-4. Just think with those options that were presented he was the best option. He's the only guy that wasn't the trade down scenario or Hopkins scenario that I have a first round grade on. I'm not overly as high on Van Ness as a lot of people. I think he will struggle to get to the passer in the NFL.

If these are the options? I'm not including the Hopkins deal or a trade back cause those can be used as cop outs but the easy decision at 27 is Nolan Smith. Its not even close due to upside alone.

Yes that’s what I see happening . I have Schoonmaker as a 3rd rounder so it makes more sense I guess with my ranking than yours

I don’t have any insight tbh but TEs in this game as we know have become vital. Once those top 6 come off there is a drop after 7 so I think someone reaches on schoomaker to make sure they get one of the top 7 compared to whoever they have at 8

All top 7 TEs are gone by the end of round 2. Mayer, Kincaid, Musgrave, Washington, LaPorta, Kraft, Schoonmaker.

I’ve been calling the Skoronski guard talk for awhile. He’s going to struggle at Tackle. Teams will start him there and be forced to kick him inside. If your looking for a tackle Darnell Wright us a better option

I just happen to think whoever wins the division is probably going to go 11-6. Its a hard road for the AFC East this year in general.

Not many guys do that in this draft. Thats why i've been advocating for Kincaid if he's on the board. He provides exactly what your saying interchangeability of parts, forcing teams to prep for our vaunted 10, 11 personnel while also being able to add in 12 personnel sets. For WR's the guy who does that is Jalin Hyatt but he's going to take a year or two to hopefully become the player everyone wants. Everyone also thinks of 12 as being Two TE's on the line but you can do so much with 12 personnel that is different than 10 and 11. The Bills are not a hard study its just that they are more talented than most teams.

No there are people in the local media and the fan base that are deadset that we have to take a WR at 27 no matter what is on the board. Don’t care about anything else. Recommend something else and your a moron

I think it’s a great short term move for the Jets. They are a contender with Rodgers. The negative is if it goes average or bad even the New York Media is going to eat Rodgers alive and Rodgers hates the media.

your not getting an immediate # 2 WR from this draft and Knox was blocking so much because Brown and Saffold were so awful and had to have him stay in

Just randomly chucking out Mitch Mustain as the example I loved it and laughed.

All I know is once you get past the first 6 or 7 picks in this draft, it is highly volatile and can go in many different directions. Usually you can lock in a top 15-Top 20 but this year beyond 6 or 7 it could be anyone.

So I guess my question is to you then is who is better BPA in your opinion than Kincaid at 27 if the draft fell like this. I'm genuinely curious to this question.

I think its because Downs is a pretty clean prospect. No character questions, no injury history, teams might have a good grasp on who he is so its not necessary to bring him in.

LaPorta isn't really a blocker either to be honest. If your looking for all around TE's who can do both your looking at Darnell Washington(arguable), Tucker Kraft, and Luke Schoonmaker at least when it comes to the early guys. There are some other guys who can block later in the draft but have limited upside in the passing game.

I agree that a trade back is likely if only because the value at WR isn't likely at 27 and they do want to draft one for sure as noted by their 5 top 30 visits with WR's. In this model there are no trades. I think they want to walk away with more than 6 players drafted for sure. I will also say for the naysayers on TE's they did meet with 3 guys on top 30 visits and another one was suspected as someone mentioned a 4th being a possibility and they are all high round TE's. Musgrave and Washington are going to go in round 2 and Schoonmaker is probably a 3rd round guy. None of the guys they met with are lower than a 3rd round grade which means it seems likely they are going to take a TE fairly high in this draft even if its not round 1.

Im defensive of it only in the fact that people can't be open to a different idea than LB/WR at 27. I have readily admitted that I could be wrong a lot. I do realize we can lose Gabe Davis next year and there are more than 2 rounds in a draft. And yes in this scenario, Dalton Kincaid is the Best Player Available even over Quentin Johnson. Could the Bills still pass on him absolutely. I said in the pick info that they would consider a multitude of guys including WR's Quentin Johnson and Jalin Hyatt. How do you know they aren't going to prioritize Kincaid if they took him? A lot of people on this board are aching for a slot receiver to replace Beasley/McKenzie and upgrade there as Allen and the offense seemed to stall a bit because of the position. So I pick a TE(really a big WR) who can line up in the slot and do a multitude of things from the slot including stretch the seams which Allen does best in the vertical passing game and you can't see beyond the fact that he'll be behind Dawson Knox which isn't true at all. Sure we can trot out 10 and 11 personnel again last year and be successful. Their going to be successful no matter who they draft because they have a top QB The difference between me and you is that if the Bills don't take Kincaid and take Johnson/Hyatt/Bresee/Branch etc, you wont hear me getting on this message board lambasting the front office for their terrible pick because I'll get it regardless but if the Bills do take a guy like Kincaid over guys like Johnson/Campbell/ your love children you will be the first one on here telling people how terrible the pick was.
