yup in my scenario that’s 3 comp picks total number is 32

I think Siran Neal is one of those types of players that signs 2nd day of FA for bigger money than expected and everyone goes what the heck
-
I know its probably unpopular to the Bills 1st round opponent but I want the Chargers to beat the Raiders. A Chargers win essentially locks them into the # 7 spot and a rematch with the Chiefs. I think they are the toughest opponent the Chiefs can draw in the 1st round. Yes even more than the Colts who if they get behind have no shot with Wentz at QB of beating the Chiefs.

Panthers Willing to Listen to Offers for McCaffrey
gonzo1105 replied to aristocrat's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills will have the draft capital this year to make a move like this if they want. If not McCaffrey than Barkley or an OL that’s on the outs. There is no way the Panthers give him up for a 4th tho like some are suggesting, just to save face. My guess is if you see him moved a Conditional 3rd(turns into a 2) a 4th and a late pick -
Don’t laugh at the guy but with Covid, the draft last year was really week after round 4. With the extra year this draft will be deeper than typical ones. The Bills have 9 picks. If Frazier gets a HC job that’s an extra 3rd. Usually you have to get about 3.5 million now to even qualify in the top 32 lost Free Agents. Out of those guys that are Free Agents, I suspect if we don’t re sign them that Trubisky, Wallace, Phillips, maybe Hughes on a 1 year, and Neal because of his STs prowess plus position flexibility being the likely guys. I would suspect we end up with 2 comp picks in the later rounds. It could end up being 1st 2nd 3rd 3rd(Frazier) 4th 5th 5th(Comp) 6th 6th(Johnson) 6th(Comp) 7th 7th(Smith)

Right but that’s what I’m saying. A lot of good coaches get passed over for high level jobs because they didn’t luck into knowing someone. There are a ton of D3 and D2 guys who are really good but because they don’t know a heavyweight will never get the chance. That’s what’s wrong with the profession in general it’s a good old boys network which is why you constantly see damn that guys getting another chance again?

Its always a fine line with conversations like this. Older people like Pees are going to side with him cause they are the I paid my dues people and since I did it other people should have to as well. Younger people, who are usually more tech saavy are going to say why do it that way when we can do it quicker with Tech. Part of me agrees with him particularly the coaching relationship building needs to be personal and allows for your players to approach you about a variety of things. Part of me was like not everyone has to be like you where they worked the lower levels for 20 years before they got their shot. The funny part about it is I worked in the coaching world for a decade and its very much a not what you know business but a who you know business. I would almost guarantee Pees knew someone in the NFL that helped him get that job more so than on the merit of his work at Findlay College and Kent State

flashback 2018 espn draft coverage of Josh pick
gonzo1105 replied to First Round Bust's topic in The Stadium Wall
The first thing I noticed which is weird is how different his body is. He’s more slender and has def added a lot of muscle on an already 240 pound frame he had in that video -
How confident are you about the Bills going into the playoffs?
gonzo1105 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly think it really depends on who we get matched up against. I mean obviously Buffalo is capable of beating anyone but i'll be more confident the Bills can get to Super Bowl if its Patriots, Titans, Bengals versus Colts, Titans, Chiefs. -
Looks like a really competitive schedule but the Packers may be without Rodgers/Adam’s, Steelers won’t have Ben, what are the Browns gonna do with Baker? Vikings will have a new coach? Sticking with Cousins?

QB 2022-23 Extensions.. Trades... Rookie Class
gonzo1105 replied to Huh? What?'s topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Trubisky getting a starting job depends on Daboll getting a HC job. Either way he'll be a placeholder for a younger guy but maybe he can hold them off if he can put it together. -
If the Chargers make it in, dont sleep on them against Kansas City in the first round. They beat KC at their place once already, and if they had just taken the points instead of going for it 9 millions times they would have swept them and won the division.
-
Well unless the Bills get up to the 2 seed they are going to be playing the Raiders, Colts, or Pats unless things go absolutely haywire. I’ll take in order. Raiders, Pats, Colts
-
I actually think he’s the perfect RB for our current system. We throw the ball a lot, we need a guy who’s an explosive pass catcher out of the backfield. Plus think of those zone reads with Allen as a runner as possibilities. He’d open up our non existent screen game as well.
-
I know technically there is a lot of fluidity and every week has been a cluster to try to predict but if you take all of the favorites, it really will come down the LV/Chargers game. 1. Tenn 2. KC 3 Buffalo 4 Cinci(Rest their starters week 18) 5 Patriots 6. LV/Colts 7. Colts/Chargers
-
It will be interesting to see if the Bengals play their starters next week. They really have nothing to play for except who they want to play in the first round. They have locked up the Division and a home game. Do they want to be the # 3 or the # 4. The Bills have to play to win the division with the Pats.
-
Man it’d be crazy unlucky for the Bengals to win this game then Burrow is out
-
What a crazy week that is not going to help figure out anything in the AFC. Who would have thought Raiders over Colts, Rams come back and stun Ravens, Bengals could beat the Chiefs, Titans dominating the Dolphins. Bills we’re super sloppy but at this point take it with how crazy this week has gone already
-
This team desperately needs to take an offensive player with the first round pick this year. It just seems right this year. We need young WR's, OL, and a RB(tho i'm not advocating first round). If we go first round defense it almost has to be a Cornerback.
-
If your telling me I can get 2 3rd round picks for Frazier with our needs as Allen’s contract kicks in then sign me up.

right they have to have Miami lose which is what I'm saying. If Miami doesn't lose and goes 10-7 and the Patriots also go 10-7, the Patriots will be 0-2 vs Miami and that is the first tiebreaker in a multi team(3 or more) tiebreaker so yes in a two team scenario(Miami, Patriots) where they are tied- both teams would get in. Miami would be the 6 and the Pats would be the 7. If LV wins out, Miami wins out, and Patriots go 1-1 with a loss to the Dolphins, the Patriots would be eliminated. Its about knowing the difference between a 2 team and 3 team tiebreaker scenario.
-
this is only true if Miami doesn’t win out. The first tiebreaker is divisional head to head so for example Patriots 10-7 Dolphins 10-7 LV or whomever 10-7 Since the Dolphins went 2-0 against the Patriots it would eliminate them even if they have a better conference record than LV or whomever the 3rd team is. Dolphins in LV in Pats out
