I prefer Braxton Miller and Sterling Shepard to Michael Thomas
-
Want a cookie?
I do actually, and weren't u bragging about getting the Bills pick right and why they call you Blockstradamus.
-
Hmmm, I recall a hell of a lot of posters on this board fighting the hell out of me in the LB thread when I stated that Ragland was a two down thumper in the NFL and wouldn't go where he was projected(mid teens at the time). I stated this over and over again that this type of guy struggles to play in this era of the NFL. That's why guys like Darron Lee(who I was extremely high on) go in the first round because he can play 3 downs while Ragland waits to find himself a new home. I'd venture that Ragland might be available at 49, but I still don't want the Bills to pick him
-
Man some big time D-Lineman are dropping to round 2. The Bills are gonna get some great value in round 2 if they want to go in that direction
-
I think they should have moved down. There was so much D-Line talent and Lawson isn't that special of a player to stay there
-
I think it's Shelton or Reed or Lawson.
Well u made it easy on yourself then cause Lawson and Rankins prob aren't going to be on the board
-
I happen to think that the Bills want Darron Lee or Leonard Floyd and if they are there the Bills will take them. If those guys are off the board, I think Buffalo wants to trade down and target Chris Jones, Vernon Butler, or Karl Joseph
-
Has anyone actually confirmed Conklin visited? Joe B only has 19 and I think he would be pretty up to date on visits to the team
-
Was he a cut? How's our comp pick picture progressing?
We are at a net loss
Bills gained:
Zach Brown
Sterling Moore
Corey White
Robert Blanton
Bills lost:
Nigel Bradham
Ron Brooks
But...............
The only contract that is going to qualify that they have gained is Zach Brown
So it's really 2 lose 1 gain so the Bills are in line for a 6th rounder next year at this moment
-
I think you could see the shift of their thought process after they started scouting guys. Early on Whaley seemed pretty adamant about upgrading at WR and the evidence states that's what he wants to do.
He signed Harvin to replace Woods but then Harvin predictably got hurt. He was interviewed and said they wanted to upgrade the position. They sniffed around Anquan Boldin. Then only recently did he give a vote of confidence to Robert Woods.
I think Whaley realized they are too strapped to upgrade WR in FA and may have bigger need in the first couple rounds to bring in guys like Treadwell, Doctson etc who would be better than Woods for the 2016 year
-
Antonio Morrison visiting per Joe B

Su'a Cravens (or more likely his agent) are refusing all private workouts. I get the quoted logic behind it but it seems like an error to refuse all requests. He's not a slam dunk prospect by any stretch, can't afford to be seen as burning bridges this early. Some teams have long memories, some won't forget in 4 years when he's a free agent.
I put this in the DB thread because he ain't a linebacker.
I think he is a lot higher thought of then the media draft community depicts. He has visits with a ton of teams and he is position versatile. This tells me that he is going to go way higher than the 2nd round. He's gonna be a first rounder to somebody. Supposedly Carolina loves him to replace Thomas Davis and they pick at 31. If you want him it's gotta be at 19. The guys who love Darron Lee should love Cravens too. Same type of player
-
I know he bulked up some but I don't like his lower body. He's very narrow framed and that scares me to the point that he won't have enough core strength to disengage NFL OTs. My opinion
-
Looks like we got 2 more names to add: QB Cardale Jones and LB Darron Lee will visit the Bills. Takes the Bills to 8 of 30 visits
-
List of pre-draft visits
- Roberto Aguayo, K, Florida State (COM)
- Mackensie Alexander, CB, Clemson (COM)

They aren't all 30 visits tho. Some they met at the combine. They are allowed 30

Dak Prescott QB
Cyrus Jones CB
Sheldon Rankins DT
Reggie Ragland LB
That's only 4 of 30

Brooks' isn't that large either, and they usually go by UFA's lost minus gained, unless there's a large salary discrepancy.[/quote
Yes, but the players lost and gained have to qualify for the formula. 840 k isn't going to qualify. Brooks may not either but he currently does. Technically yes it's 2 lost vs 1 gained but really it's 2 lost and zero gained but could end up being 1 lost vs 0 so that is the possible discrepancies in how many picks we get
-
Nope. Bradham and Brooks were the Bills' only UFA's to sign elsewhere while only Blanton was an UFA (Dray and the other Bills players who signed elsewhere were cut). So the Bills should get 1 for losing Bradham.
The Bills could still get 2 because Blantons contract is so small that he prob won't qualify for the formula. Brooks will be a fringe qualifier. As of right now, we'll get 2, most likely a 6 and 7 but most likely well probably just get a 6th next year
-
You know there hasn't been a lot of talk about Chris Jones from Miss State. He seems like a perfect fit for Rex's versatile scheme and is a great run player who has above average pass rushing skills. A lot of people project him as a round 2 guy but there have been quite a few leaks of how scouts perceive him to be a top 25 player. Might be a good fit at 19
-
So Blanton despite being a UFA prob won't qualify for the compensatory process with that contract. The one uear deal also makes me think they are still in the market to draft a safety
-
Knighton is only a run stuffer and doesn't offer much in the way of a pass rush. He's also showing his age as teams had a 4.7 yard rush average when he was in the game. He's overrated at this point in his career
-
Voided contracts still count because technically the player didn't get released. That's why Harvin will count this year if he gets signed in a timely fashion
-
I think he does count for compensatory picks, we just don't receive immediate draft compensation for him because he was undrafted. He is in the net loss of free agents column so far this year Nigel which will add a decent comp pick , Brooks
, Stephan Charles and Hogan should all count toward a total loss and therefore if they play at least another lower round pick
No he won't be counted. The only players who get counted in the formula are Unreleased Unrestricted Free Agents. The Bills had a choice to keep him and choose not to. It's the exact same reason that Charles Clay didn't count this year because the Dolphins had a choice.
The only people that count so far are Bradham and Brooks
-
I'm actually surprised someone has not given Corbin Bryant a look either especially with how tight our cap is. He started last year and has scheme versatility to fit in a 4-3 and 3-4
-
We have a net loss of 2 to zero. I'd expect two low round comp picks next year pending we don't actually sign a free agent, which I wouldn't suspect.
