  1. The best chance we have to get Rosen or Darnold is with the Giants. Gettlemen just got hired and has a long relationship with Beane. He also was pretty steadfast about moving forward with Eli Manning. I’d say it’s a possibility if we make it enticing enough.

Like I said in another thread, going off of your trade chart the Giants pick is worth 717.17

    So the Bills trade:

    Pick #21=260.82

    Pick #22= 252.71

LT Cordy Glenn= 2nd Round Pick....Duane Brown got CB Jeremy Lane, a 2018 5th Round Pick, and a 2019 2nd Round Pick so I think it’s safe to say Glenn could be valued as a 2nd rounder= 98.27

    Pick # 85= 50.18

    Thats 661.98

    Then you trade a 2019 2nd Round pick(3rd Round value)= 50.18

    2019 4th round pick(5th Round value)=24 points

    Thats 74.18 + 661.98= 736.16

That would leave Buffalo in the 2018 draft with:

    # 2 Pick( Giants)

    #53 Pick (Own)

    #56 Pick(LAR)

    #117 Pick (Own)

    #149 Pick (Own)

    # 151 Pick (JAX)

    2019 Draft

    1st

    3rd

    4th (KC)

    5th

    6th

    7th

This is obviously rough estimation but I’d do this deal if the Bills are 100 % certain there is a franchise guy. It doesn’t cripple the Bills at all and Glenn to the Giants makes a ton of sense to help fix their line.

I don't think you have to worry about Mayfield going very high.  He is not a first round talent.

Allen will likely go to the Jets, if not Denver. I just don't see these QBs getting past all those QB needy teams.   Rudolph will shoot up I bet, and end up in the first round.  Jackson has serious physical talent, but mentally he isn't there. Can he get there is the question??? Historically, that's going against the odds

Darnold is over rated and Rosen the rumor is he doesn't love Football.  I'm hoping those two guys go early and we can trade up for someone else.

I actually think that Denver is going to go the veteran route. I think they will be the team that gets Kirk Cousins/Alex Smith imo. Elway knows the value of the QB position and I think he knows his team is a QB away from another deep playoff run

I could actually see them doing that. I wouldnt be upset with what we gave up either.

I think this trade makes a ton of sense if you can talk the Giants into making another run with Eli. The Giants get two 1st round picks, a LT that helps their terrible O-Line that should be valued as at least a 2nd rounder, a 2nd in next years draft and we have two 4th rounders next year with the Ragland deal

  4. How bout I throw a new name in the mix who might enter the NFL draft and have a chance to go high in the draft.....What does everyone think of Drew Lock from Missouri. He’s 6’4 or 6’3 225 and put together an incredible stretch of games this year to turn that Missouri program around this year.

He’s a little more raw than the other guys and had a lower completion percentage at 57% but he pushes the ball vertically more than most college guys. Had 44 TDS and 13 INTS this year. Not advocating for him but he will prob be a 2nd round pick if he comes out and thought he was worth bringing up

    Huge difference.

This is why I always get mad when people say, well if our QB had people to throw to he'd be much better. In fact it's the opposite. If we had a top tier QB, Zay Jones, Deonte Thompson etc would look way better than they really are.

EJ Manuel got Watkins and he didn't improve one bit. The QB makes things go round in this league. There are plenty of examples of WRs who had great years with good QBs then signed huge deals and flopped with no QB

  6. Yes, they will have a first round bye to play for. I suspect the Steelers lose next week. That means the Steelers will have 3 losses and the Jags 4 losses. They will have the same conference record so the last week will be very important to both teams pending the Jags win out until they face the Titans

  7. To beat the Titans in a tie breaker at 9-7, the Titans have to lose to the Jags. The Titans already have 7 conference wins. If the beat the Jags we can't catch them in a 9-7 tiebreak because we will only have 7 conference wins.

Really have to hope for a Titan collapse 1-2 with one L being to the Jags, and the LAC winning the West. In addition to the Ravens squandering 1 game down the line

  8. do you guys think we cut Holmes now to get the 3rd comp pick? he seems redundant now

The problem is we have to cut more than Holmes....we have to cut 3 guys of Holmes, Ducasse, Hauschka, Ryan Davis, and Patrick DiMarco.

The problem with this is all these guys are contributing right now in their role making them very hard to cut.

  9. If we had to go to NO, I would be much more scared about that game than I am with it being at home. The Saints offense, when its away from home, has been fairly average over the last couple of years, in my opinion, and will be put to the test especially if they have to come in and play in inclement weather in two weeks.

I agree with the previous poster. I want to win both games obviously, but if I had to take 1 out of the next 2 we have to have the Jets game for Tiebreaker purposes for Conference record. To me, we have to get this Jets game. Also scares the life out of me because of our bad past in these types of games.

  10. Here's the thing, we know the 5 OTs. Glenn, Mills, Dawkins, Henderson, and McDermott.

We know that it is not Dawkins or McDermott because they were brought in by this regime. I find it hard to believe anyone is going to trade for Henderson just coming off suspension and is 1 strike away from a 1 year suspension.

That leaves Glenn and Mills and I could see either or. Glenn gives you the most value for a team building towards the future. I don't think the cap is a big deal to them. They said that they plan on building the team through the draft and they have done nothing to show that's not the case.

If it is Glenn and they can't get the compensation they are looking for this year don't be surprised if they take a higher 2019 pick to continue the building process over two years.

On the other hand I think it could be Mills because while he isn't highly valued like Glenn, he does have a ton of starting experience in this league, has a fairly cheap contract, is under control beyond this year, and the compensation wouldn't be likely more than a 5th round pick
