  1. Here’s the problem with dealing with the Bucs. You only make the deal under two circumstances. A) One of the QBs you really like drops to pick 7 and you trade up on draft day or B) you trade up to 7 because you already have a deal in place for 2 if you can get pick 7. The problem with scenario B is if the rumors are true the Giants love Darnold, they are not gonna trade down until they know who the Browns take at 1. Right now it sounds like they are leaning towards Allen. In that case, scenario B is highly unlikely to happen unless the Bills, Bucs, and Giants have some crazy 3 team trade worked out in advance of pick number 2 being on the board
  2. I constantly think this too. I think watch, everyone is gonna get caught up in these 4 guys and a guy like Lauletta or Mike White are gonna end up being the best Quarterback's from this class. Would I bet on it? No, but it has definitely crossed my mind that someone else besides the 6 guys constantly mentioned will end up being the best one.
  3. It’s gonna take a lot 12,22,56,65 2019 2nd, 2019 4th rounder. That’s what I’d offer the most. I’d be hesitant giving up the 2019 1st rounder
  4. Smoke screening everyone making them think he wants Josh Allen when he really wants Josh Rosen. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is the one leaking more about the intangibles millennial conversation around the league
  5. I think what you’ll see Buffalo will trade somewhere in the 6-11 area to get their guy. I just can’t see the Giants going QB. The Bills will get the # 4 guy it seems. I think your likely to see Darnold and Allen be the first two off the board. If the Broncos take a QB at 5 (which isn’t a guarantee) the Bills will end up with either Rosen or Mayfield at 6-7
  6. I believe the story was that the Bills were trying to trade up in 04. I think they were trying to get the Jaguars who picked 9th to trade with them but the Jags wouldn’t do it because they were dead set on taking Reggie Williams a WR from Washington who ended up busting. When that didnt happen the rest is history. Steelers take Roethlisberger and we trade up with the Cowboys for Losmsn
  7. So you advocate giving a guy an extra 3 million dollars a season even tho his market may not dictate that? Doesn’t sound like good managing of the salary camp and shrewd business strategy. If he was a 7-8 million dollar a year player he would have been signed by now. Truth is he is a 4-5 million dollar a year Player
  8. The Plan is to get a legitimate QB who can throw the ball which will make Kelvin Benjamin, Zay Jones and others look a lot better. Kind of how Marquise Goodwin all of a sudden became really good when they got Jimmy G.
  9. Here’s the problem your going to run into. Every one knows the Bills are trading up for a franchise changing QB. That means all these bridge QBs know it as well. They also aren’t dumb to think “oh you guys are gonna let me start for 2 years”. They know as soon as the kid is ready they are gonna play him. that will seriously limit our options for a bridge guy
  10. The Seahawks may release DeShawn Shead who the Bills had a lot of interest last year. Could be a good # 3 and depth at Safety
  11. If our signing of released players is any indication, then the Veteran QB we are most likely to pick up is Mike Glennon from Da Bears. Before drafting a younger guy
  12. I did forget the 7th we got for Seymour, but in my trade scenario we would give up a 4th rounder in 19 but still have KCs and the Comp Pick giving us 2 instead of 3
  13. Its not an obsession, the people who bring it up clearly understand that the Front Office is going to do this, that’s why it keeps getting brought up. I laugh at people on here who talk about going after Dontari Poe or Star L.They aren’t going to spend 12-14 mill annually for these guys. Expect lower bargained guys or guys who have been cut. That’s clearly the M.O. of this Front Office at least for this year
  14. When the draft actually happens both Luke Falk and Mason Rudolph will be mid round picks. 3rd to 5th round
  15. I don’t think Glenn will fetch a first but if I’m the Bills I’m looking for what the Texans got for Duane Brown who basically retired etc. and hadn’t played in a year plus The Texans I believe got a 2018 3rd round pick and a 2019 2nd round pick for Brown and a 2018 5th rounder. I think they could get somewhere in that ball park
  16. I completely understand that and I think what you have seen so far is they are going to sign guys for 1 or 2 year deals for guys who have been released or out of football. In addition, McDermott has stated they are not as far along as people think. This indicates a rebuild is still gonna take place. This tells me don’t expect big Free Agents. This is also indicates to me that Buffalo will be very hesitant to give their 2019 1st round pick because it will likely be relatively high. Beane has stated numerous times don’t expect them to be big in Free Agency
  17. This is why I think the Bills are gonna supplement with the 2019 comp picks. They are going to move some 2019 picks in a deal 21,22, 53, 65, a 2019 2nd rounder, 2019 4th rounder gets it done. You can throw in Glenn to maybe save a pick or lower the round pick you have to give up Again this would leave Buffalo with #2 #56 #96 4th 2 5th round picks 2019 1st 3rd 4th 4th(Comp for Gaines) 5th 5th(Comp for Brown) 6th 6th(Comp for Matthews) 7th
  18. I’ll say this, if he has a deal in place already, it’s going to be for huge money. No guy would commit this early unless he was getting some bank!
  19. ANY chance with Kizer going to GB, that we are in on Brett Hundley? Not advocating but a thought I suppose
  20. This is 100% the case. You don’t make this move unless you have a really good grasp on what else is coming. Even if it means Peterman, Foles, Trade up, or FA
  21. I would be interested in Jeremy Lane more than Sherman
  22. It just makes sense, the Bills are trading up. How far? Who knows, but if it’s top 5 it’s going to cost them at least 4 draft picks. So how do you recoup those draft picks? You let guys who will get bigger contracts elsewhere(Gaines, Matthews, Brown, Williams) and gain 4 compensatory picks back to supplement the higher draft picks you traded away do you can still build depth around the QB
  23. This is why I think the Bills are trading up significantly in the draft. With today’s signing of Ivory, and previously Vontae Davis, it shows that the front office is going to protect against losing 2019 compensatory picks. This brings me to my next point. The Bills have 3 or 4 significant FA that will count towards the 2019 Comp Formula. Those players are: EJ Gaines Jordan Matthews Preston Brown Kyle Williams(if he decides to play) All will probably fetch an extra 4th-6th round picks in 2019. The NFL allows up to 4 comp picks Id project Gaines to get a 4th, Brown a 5th, Williams a 5th, and Matthews a 6th. These are obviously fluid. So look at the draft capital over the next 2 years: 2018: 1st 1st 2nd 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 5th 2019: 1st 2nd 3rd 4th 4th(Ragland) 4th(Comp pick) 5th 5th(Comp pick) 5th(Comp pick) 6th 6th(Comp pick) 7th Basically my thought is we can trade draft capital in 2018 and 2019 without selling out completely. We also have two young players with value in Cordy Glenn, Shaq Lawson, and the possibility of getting a mid round pick for Taylor. Its all being set up for a BIG MOVE up the draft board. I like what Beane and McDermott are doing
  24. Jonathan Cooper and Chance Warmack come to mind as the best Guard prospects that had game altering potential. You see how that one worked out
