Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
gonzo1105 replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well Baltimore and Kansas City lost to Buffalo, the Ravens might have a case but they will also get that opportunity in week 18 against the Bengals. If they win, they win the division which is best case for Baltimore anyways. Kansas City has no room to talk if they decide to give Buffalo the 1 seed because they lost to Buffalo. If they decide to give the 1 seed to Cincinnati, Kansas City has no room to talk. -
The one I remember was Reggie Lewis of the Celtics

I don't think the NFL would rule the Bills game vs the Bengals a forfeit, I believe the game, if not played will be ruled a no contest. I do believe the Bills wouldn't play the Patriots in the unfortunate case that Hamlin has a bad outcome and that would lead to a forfeit. -

I can't see the NFL making the Bills forfeit against the Bengals especially after the coaches mutually agreed. I could see a scenario that if the Bills don't want to play the Patriots that being a forfeit but man that guarantees the Patriots in the playoffs and wouldn't set well with the Dolphins and Steelers. If you call it a no contest or a tie, the Chiefs get the one off the basis of a near death experience cancelling a game. I don't think the NFL wants that either. Conference record seems like the best way to go with it but it screws the Bengals out of an opportunity to get the 1 Seed by not playing the Bills. To me the logical, and it works in the Bills favor, is to go by point differential of AFC Teams played pending all 3 teams win next week. I don't know if the NFL would go down that road but either way tough decision for the NFL in multiple avenues. -
Who do you want to avoid in the playoffs?

Yea I’m not banking on Baltimore going into Cincinnati with the AFC North on the line with Huntley or a rusty Lamar Jackson and pulling it off. -

The 4-6 seeds are pretty locked in the 4- Either Tenn or Jax 5: Los Angeles unless they lose to Denver unlikely 6: Baltimore 7: Miami, NE, Pitts Most likely scenarios are: 1: Buffalo or KC 2: KC or Cincinnati 3: Cincinnati or Buffalo 4: TN or Jax 5: Los Angeles or Baltimore 6: Baltimore or Los Angeles 7: Miami, NE, Pitts We are very likely to either be the 1 or the 3 seed. The only way we can be the two is if we beat Cincinnati but lose to the Patriots. That means we are on the bye as the 1 but if we do lose to Cincinnati we are very likely to end up with Baltimore in the wild card with Los Angeles as the 2nd option. -
Well I think we all assume we’ll beat the Patriots so Bills vs Bengals means well either be the 1 seed or the 3 seed. Looking like we’ll either have a bye or face the Ravens in the wildcard round. if somehow we end up in the two seed we’d have to beat the Bengals and lose to the Pats and if that happens we’ll prob get a rematch with the Pats or the Dolphins in the 2/7.

No he wasn't. Despite his college stats looking good, Manuel held Florida State back from a National Title in 2012. I truly believe that. He was slow to read his progressions in college and had too many errors at Florida State. When Buffalo took him at 16, I knew he was going to bust after watching him for 3 years there. He didn't have the traits to be a great QB. Manuel's also threw a ton of screens and dump off passes that made his completion percentage look better than it was. He was the polar opposite of Josh Allen who was undersold on his accuracy because he played in a vertical passing game in terrible weather with a terrible team. Manuel had a fantastic team who played in great weather who couldn't accurately throw the ball.

One of the things I've learned in my time in this world, is never bet against an SMU WR being successful in the NFL. For as average as that program has been, it has produced many high quality WR's in the NFL. I loved Danny Gray coming out last year as well and thought he was a 3rd rounder when everyone else was saying round 5-6 for him. Obviously he's in a very deep SF WR Room so he hasn't shown out yet.

He definitely was cold despite him saying he wasn’t that’s what I got out of that

Tyler Bass is the Bills' best pick of the 2020 draft
gonzo1105 replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall
People trashing Epenesa he has 7 sacks this year. Looks like he's figuring it out. I think Moss was just a bad scheme fit. He looks really good running the ball in Indianapolis the last few games he's gotten the opportunity to start. Maybe he just works better in an under center turn power scheme vs the Bills scheme. -
Josh McDaniels doesn’t rule out benching Derek Carr
gonzo1105 replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
He'd only bench Carr because he feels hes not the answer but doesn't want him winning more games. He wants a QB next year in the draft and as we know the lower you are the harder it is to get a good one. -
yea that’s exactly what I said re-read my comment lol. He sits this week if they lose he’ll be back in next week. If they win this week he sits until the wildcard
-
I think Tua sits this week and if they lose to the Patriots you will see him back in week 18 vs the Jets. If the Dolphins beat the Pats and lock up a playoff spot you wont see him until the Wildcard but I highly doubt they shut him down this year. Which is sad in its own right.

I think you'll see Mitch come back for the playoffs only and then I think you'll see him hang it up. He wont play the last two regular season games IMO and hopefully will have the extra week with a bye so he'll get a total of a month off essentially for the playoff push then hopefully a title and call it a day.

Baker Mayfield: QBing not so hard with competent head coach
gonzo1105 replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall
Could very well stay in LA especially if Stafford decides to hang them up and its not that far fetched of a possibility. -
Hahhahaha the Dolphins are free falling. Unfortunately the rest of the AFC beneath them is always sucking so the top 6 is pretty much all set but the Dolphins are 7 right now. Their next two game are huge for their playoff chances against the Patriots and Jets.

What a loser Tomlin is for trying a 52 yarder in sub zero weather on 4th and 4 down 7. He missed one in the same direction from the same hash earlier so why not try one that is much longer this time.

Bills had him in for a visit and had the chance to draft him. He’s such a great young player. The whole Raiders team has a lot of talent it amazes me that their 6-8

Treatment of opposing team fans(your experience)
gonzo1105 replied to PatsFanNH's topic in The Stadium Wall
Now, I am not a drinker at games and I will tell you I've seen some disgusting behavior by all fan bases. With that said, the most uneducated disgusting fan base that I have ever come across are New York Jets fans and its not even close. I dont know if its NYC and the accents, the lack of football knowledge but they are the one group I don't want to sit around. -
What’s the Coverage? Who’s to blame? Waddle TD
gonzo1105 replied to EmotionallyUnstable's topic in The Stadium Wall
So after rewatching it it still look like cover 6 Jackson goes to the flat, Milano does go hook to seam(I got him and Johnson mixed up), Poyer drops in the hole, Hamlin straight backpedals trying to get depth, White is in the Deep Quarter and Johnson chucks and goes to the flat. Seems like some variation of Cover 6 with a Robber Safety. Now maybe its a Cover 6 disguise with a 3 Robber look, I think that is very plausible as well. -

I think some people, especially people like myself, who have been in the game a long time as a player(HS,College), a coach(HS), and a Recruiter(College), like to look at things more analytically than the typical fan. I am not knocking you or anyone else that just watches the game and enjoys it without looking at coverages and what happened wrong etc its just its different when you have been in the game for a long time. I go to games and I'm not drunk, I don't scream my head off when the Bills are on defense, I'm intently watching what we are doing as a team and what the other team is doing as a team moreso than anything. Of course I cheer if they make a big play or score and hi five but I feel like the average Bills fan thinks i'm weird in the stands with my arms crossed just watching.
