  1. Funny that I moved out of New York State and moved to Arkansas for work and I have yet to have a tornado anywhere close to me and I'm in Tornado/Dixie alley but New York State has gotten hit with a bunch this year after my tree last year hit my garage after a microburst in NYS

Morris catches the balls thrown it seemed. He also got open enough times to have been a sweet check down.

Zach would be nice ammo to have on PS , just in case.

    imho

I like Morris as is steady and dependable , and then underutilized as an option. No reason to move on yet

To me it’s not about Morris necessarily like I said he’s fine, but if Knox goes down(which he has recently) the Bills best blocker is Kincaid and I’m sure they don’t want to do limit what they do with him.

I prefer a blocker so Kincaid can remain the pass catcher that he is or going to an offensive lineman

  3. I’ve never been a huge fan of Morris to be honest. For a 3rd string TE he’s fine but I was very big into the idea of drafting a blocking TE this last year because if Knox gets hurt again, Morris isn’t a good blocker and I don’t think they want to limit Kincaid to being an in line Y TE like he had to be last year.

You also don’t want to go Jumbo all the time because it makes you more predictable with less passing threats on the field. There needs to be an added blocking threat at TE 3 imo. Davidson has the size but has never been known for that

Because teams don't want to pay 15M/yr for an almost 31 yr old FS.  What the Bills are doing signing lower tier guys like Jackson & Burgess simply fills necessary open spots for practice once Bishop/ Edwards heal.  Now if Justin wants to sign a 1 yr/ 8M prove it deal, I'd listen.

The question was rhetorical for the people who are pining for the Bills to sign him.

  5. I mean he can say that now but its not like this is a situation that if Chubb was gone he was going to take Allen. Its very well known that if Chubb was gone that the Bills and Broncos had a deal in place for the Bills to move up and take Allen anyways.

Its clear that Elway didn't think that highly of Allen regardless of Chubb's availability at pick 5.

  6. This is the new age of offense in the game of football. I tried to say this numerous times when people were pining for a guy who was a traditional X and noted that many NFL teams don't have a traditional Z,X,Y,F anymore in their Wide Receiver rooms. I expect Coleman to line up inside and outside as well as the rest of the guys. Obviously Samuel will do both and be in the backfield.

The game of football is now about as many offensive packages as possible to make defenses have to prepare in a short period of time.

  7. Day 1 only but I will toot my horn a bit.

I was one of the few who vouched for Coleman before the draft and it looks like the connection is good between Allen and him.

I had Ray Davis as my RB 1 in the draft in an albeit down year for backs and vouched for him when everyone was calling him old slow and another wasted RB pick.

Carter was panned by most of this board as a reach and I argued the Bills picked him right where I had him in their rankings.

On the flip side Bishop was my # 1 Safety and appears Coach wasn’t thrilled about his lack of conditioning.

Will be interesting to see as camp goes along how things work out. Usually D is ahead of O but with Allen and the new schemes and motions I wonder if the offense ate because the Bills D hasn’t seen it before and obviously the Bills O is familiar with McDermotts scheme. Also makes sense because Bills D is probably working on base packages

Again, I'm not debating what playing time/facts about how valuable he was LY.  I'm saying we are very likely to keep a 5th safety.  He is cheap, likely improving with a full/normal offseason, and been in the system for multiple years.

What we saw in 2022, and back to his days at Pitt, he is a capable backup.

I'm talking about a pure football standpoint.  His story is/was remarkable, he is a great person too.

But if we're talking purely about who our 5th safety would be, you think it's more likely we sign a vet for that spot- who is likely to be more expensive, riding the pine as well, and less familiar with our scheme?

Hyde aside, who I don't think is signing until mid season (if he even returns), you think we cut Hamlin in preseason for who?

The Bills didn't keep 5 safeties on the roster last year, Cam Lewis is firstly a nickle back who can play safety. They kept 4 with Lewis as position flex. This year they drafted a backup nickle in Hardy who is going to return punts. That means that Lewis likely going to continue to do both and be the 4th safety this year. Hamlin isn't making the team without an injury.

If/when we sign another capable vet, then this becomes more likely.  Although, Hyde is the only vet that I think would be on our radar...I put that at a very low % too (at least to start the season).

This team has kept 5 safeties in recent years.  Let's not act like Hamlin was useless in 2022, if he shows that caliber again in training camp.  I'm confident he'll be closer to that, than what we saw in limited action LY

He was inactive the vast majority of the season. That’s about as useless as you can get without being cut. He’s behind Cam Lewis that was proven last year as well as Rapp. He’ll be behind Bishop and Edwards.
