  1. I mean if its the PS for now thats perfectly fine. Gives him time to get back into football shape and to acclimate back. I have no idea what the plan is for him. Does he eventually take over for Hamlin or is he there more to be a mentor and locker room guy for a guy like Bishop.
  2. White is still part of the PS, he was just one of the callups this week, he reverts automatically back to the PS unless the Bills sign him to the 53. Just giving him a Christmas bonus.
  3. Yea I've watched them quite a bit just cause their a fun team to watch and they are so damn inconsistent in every area. Your see the talent and they'll awe you with a crosser for Nacua for 40 and your like damn and then do absolutely nothing. They'll look like they have a relentless pass rush then other teams are just completing the ball all over them. They are very capable but incredibly bipolar football team.
  4. It’s basically between Denver and now Baltimore and Indy and Miami has a shot if they win 5 in a down and things fall into place for them. I still think the Steelers and Chargers are going to drop back a bit as well but both those teams have been proving me wrong
  5. He’s not coming back. Beane has been pleasant with his GM speak out of respect for Hyde and his career
  6. As for this game, I find the Rams mediocre. I couldn't believe the talking heads on ESPN we're talking about them as SB contenders after they won a couple in a row. They are stout up front in their pass rush but they are weak on the back end. If we can keep their pass rush at bay I think we feast on their defense. The Rams are dangerous on offense but wildly inconsistent even with all of their weapons.
  7. Could be, I think he helps himself with the Special Teams ability to possibly stick as well. I suspect one of Jefferson or Phillips will be let go when Carter is ready. The question is who gets let go when Grable returns. Could be Virgil, Could be Clapp, could be someone like Morrow as well.
  8. Uh their opening a spot for Carter and/or Grable to be activated and they are probably going to release someone from the current 53 and try to stash them on the PS.
  9. I read through the whole thread. It was mostly positive actually. Some of our well respected posters though were a touch off. Rapp has been solid for the Bills ,not replacement level, but not untouchable either
  10. Well then Stafford a greedy mf in that case
  11. I disagree if only that McVay is the type of coach that doesn’t stick with the run. I’ve seen many games where Williams is getting high YPC only to then see him throw the ball 8 times in a row
  12. Yea, I’m intrigued by the future Oline as well. I get what you’re saying with Anderson but his situation reminds me of Ryan Bates. A guy fans kept thinking was going to start and was kept in that depth role because of how versatile he is. I’m not sure he ever starts here and if he does it will probably be after Edwards moves on at LG. Beane has done a great job of spreading out the contracts to set us up for future success there. Dawkins and Torrence are under until 2027 Brown under until 2029 Edwards through 2025 McGovern 2026 Then the backups Grable and Van Pran through 2028 RVD and Anderson are ERFA which means we’ll have them through 2026 most likely and this doesn’t include Gouriage who they clearly like to an extent
  13. It’s another thing with this regime is they don’t draft 1T high or even really at all. They drafted Phillips at the end of round 3. They seem to like to fill this role with veterans. Could that change of course but I’d look for a free agent 1T next offseason to make Jones a backup. I know a lot of people think Jones will be cut but his cap hit is solid so if I recall. We might eat it tho as I think 2026 is the next reset per say
  14. I always find it interesting that NFL coaches are supposedly the cream of the crop but over the last almost now 40 years that it was the college coaches who innovated and created new ideas in the game and the NFL guys essentially started copying them
  15. I know this is hard to believe but professional athletes particularly football players are not bright for the most part
  16. Don't count yourself out yet, most international flights have live TV on the screens and you might just might be able to get the game on the flight especially since Bills Rams is the 4 PM main game this week.
  17. It’s scheme and personnel imo. The Bills run a 4-2-5 which was actually created to stop college spread offenses back in the day. To be able to run a 4-2 your Linebackers and added DB(Johnson) need to be your best players on defense because they have to be versatile and be able to do a lot of different thing including coverage on both zone and man against smaller quicker players. In return to match the current game of football the Bills have adjusted the 4-2 to adapt by having those 3 said players be incredibly light. Milano 229, Bernard 225, and Johnson 195. This obviously puts you at a disadvantage when you’re running a defense to stop the spread passing game and also countering with very light corps of 3. Ideally against teams that run downhill with power you would want that hybrid player(Johnson) to be replaced by someone who has the same skills. Hence the McDermott “Big Nickle”. Problem is Johnson is so good that you can’t take him off the field even against those teams. On the Defensive line, you want guys who can get after the passer with 4 because said back 7 is trying to stop the spread passing game. Those Dlineman also have to be able to run laterally for spread quick game like screens and bubble routes. With that said Ed Oliver is extremely undersized for NFL standards. So with that lengthy write up , In conclusion the 3 best football players on their defense are extremely undersized and a 4th at DT is also extremely undersized. The Bills have decided that giving up big runs from time to time is okay if it means being incredibly stout in the pass game. They use coaching and supreme talent in their mid 3 to stop the run from time to time setting up teams to pass against their superior talent against the pass. That’s my basic 4-2-5 lesson for the day
  18. Jameis is basically locating Levi Wallace and just throwing it to whoever he’s covering
  19. I think it was a dirty hit and he has a history of it by punching Johnson and choking Brady. Rex Ryan brought up a good point I thought on get up. They should be teaching QBs to slide head first instead of teaching them feet first because of a defender does hit them their head is going to snap back and smash the back of their head. By going headfirst a defender will be more likely to protect themselves
  20. Good move by the Rams because I think they are very close to a rebuild so they can take that chance on a 53 plus their DBs have struggled. I wouldn’t expect him to play this week though. That’s a lot of information to learn and do in 4 days including moving stuff across the country
  21. I've seen this on twitter and I dont know why but something smells funny and I don't trust it. I'm sure there was drunk fans, and I don't doubt the little girl and her family were there. I also could see a drunk fan not wanting to wait and trying to get by the family. I don't believe the she was floored down the stairs part.
  22. Yea its a joke that he leads for his position.
  23. I agree that roster health is important but I also think humming on all cylinders going into the playoffs is just as if not more important. Glad to hear that Allen's "hand" injury last night was more just a funny bone thing and he'll be fine. We need to get Milano back to speed especially if he's going to take all of the reps from Dorian Williams and getting our pass catchers going. I wouldn't be opposed to Coleman and Kincaid sitting until the Detroit game as I think we can win against LA without them.
  24. I agree but he was constantly out of position and was very very timid. ISO was coming at him and he looked like a deer in headlights flat footed
  25. I think he got better as the game went on but that’s not saying much because at the beginning of the game he was really bad
