I know Fields is elusive as a runner but Jonathan cannot let him break contain there

Terrible 2 min call with 1 TO left

Didn’t look like MVS got twisted up and legs bent but I guess I was wrong with the way everyone is acting

I didn't expect to like our tackle depth more than our interior depth... but here we are.
Yea I have like RVD at Left since I watched him last preseason not as much at right and Grable is incredibly nimble and has starter upside with more development. -

Grable is playing LT with Van Demark at RT. Interesting.
Looked like Collins LG
Anderson C
Will Clapp RG
They need to see if RVD can play RT to stick on this roster. They are doing the same thing with Grable. Think both will make the rosterI’ll also be honest I might have to take my Andreessen take back. What he has done against Pittsburghs starters has been damn impressive.

Until he did... and he dropped a TD 😅
Eh, idk if I’d classify that a drop. Could he have caught it yes he could have but it wasn’t the best ball placement either- 1

I will say is great reps for the depth players of the Bills to go against the Steelers starters. Great for evaluation purposes.

What a game lol

agreed - far more likely that they cut Zappe (yes he is still there) and I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing him in to at least compete vs Mitch
I agree Zappe will get released instead of Milto. I’m not a big Milton fan regardless but I don’t think NE let’s him go esp since their going to be really bad this year -
God Trubisky sucks. Hollins had a step on an easy crosser for 6-7 yards

Hardy will make this team. Does McDermott trust a rookie fielding punts but the kid looks like he knows what he’s doing as a returner and Cam Lewis is the backup slot who can easily be usurped at some point

Adressen is the camp darling everyone us gonna want the kid to make the team. Him starting and playing like this with and against a first team. What a steal good 4 you kid.
He’s not making the team. He’ll be on the practice squad. He’ll take the Lewis, Ingram UB to Bills PS route for sure especially being able to keep 17 guys- 1

My big issue is this doesn’t help build chemistry with the WRs in game action. I get it don’t want to get Allen hurt but this makes me think Allen play more next week with the WRs

This isn’t a good series for Torrence at all.

The little things are why the Bills haven’t beat the Chiefs when it matters

Time for Dorian Williams to step up and become the player I think he can be.
He was drafted to eventually be his replacement just earlier than anyone intended.

Maybe an overreaction but it might be time to start thinking this is Milano last season with the Bills. Great player who is getting older and has had a lot of injuries for his salary. Can he stay on the field
Edit: Just checked it. Looks like he’s on the hook with the Bills until 2026

I am not that high on Kingsley, but by all reports he has had a strong camp and so I was interested to see how he did...and he showed well in this first preseason game. I think we aren't as deep there this year, so I think he is trending towards making the roster right now.
I will say this, this season is his best shot to make the roster as next year that unit is going to very likely get bolstered IMHO with a significant addition via FA, trade, or the draft. We have a lot more cap room next season to do so, and we got 3 extra premium draft picks to go along with all our normal picks. Plus, if I am not mistaken, I think the expectation is we might get another one with a comp pick, but even if we don't we already have an extra 2nd and 2 extra 4ths.
The problem with his play was he had I believe 3 penalties, and to me that’s unacceptable for a roster bubble guy- 2

I just posted in the other thread about this. Don’t think they move on from Trubisky unfortunately and believe that they will look for a younger stash QB.
Really want them to get their hands on Kedon Slovis who is currently with the Colts right now and is getting limited reps because they have 5 QBs in their camp

I’ve been vouching for Kedon Slovis as the 3rd QB. He’s on the Colts right now but they’re 5 QBs deep with Richardson, Flacco, Ehlinger, Slovis, and Jason Bean.
Probably comes down to Ehlinger and Slovis for the PS squad spot. Can’t see Slovis leaving the Colts PS situation for the Bills tho
-
People have to remember our 2s and 3s were against both the Bears complete offense and their defense for all of the first while the Bills played a mix of guys who were starters, depth, and bubble players.
It was 6-3 late in the 3rd and the guys who are going to get cut let it blow wide open

The biggest takeaway I had for roster battles was Solomon showing burst and ability to get to the QB while Jonathan had I think 3 penalties. That’s a good way to get yourself cut.
Same with Williamson on his boneheaded PF penalty.
It’s hard to judge a game like this because Chicago is in their 2nd game with their rookie starting and the # 1 offense of the Bears playing the whole first quarter against a Bills defense that was missing Jones, Oliver after the first play, Milano and a lot of starters out after a few plays.
With the Bears offense controlling the Bills offense never even really got a chance to get it going with a very vanilla plan

If you don't have NFL Network you can easily watch it online if you know the right places to go if you catch my drift.

So from what I read when they made the stadium back in the 90s it was a rushed job on the cheap because they needed it done in time for 1999 and in general they cut corners. As a result there are a lot of things now that are vastly more difficult and costly to upgrade because of this which make a new stadium a more realistic possibility over a renovation.
If true that would make me more pissed that they built a ***** stadium with my money now expect me to fork over more.

Ray Davis will be the starter by mid year not because of his running but because he’s a much more consistent pass catcher and he is a much more advanced pass protector than Cook
