Grable is playing LT with Van Demark at RT. Interesting.

    Looked like Collins LG

    Anderson C

    Will Clapp RG

They need to see if RVD can play RT to stick on this roster. They are doing the same thing with Grable. Think both will make the roster

I’ll also be honest I might have to take my Andreessen take back. What he has done against Pittsburghs starters has been damn impressive.

agreed - far more likely that they cut Zappe (yes he is still there) and I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing him in to at least compete vs Mitch

I agree Zappe will get released instead of Milto. I’m not a big Milton fan regardless but I don’t think NE let’s him go esp since their going to be really bad this year

Adressen is the camp darling everyone us gonna want the kid to make the team. Him starting and playing like this with and against a first team. What a steal good 4 you kid.

He’s not making the team. He’ll be on the practice squad. He’ll take the Lewis, Ingram UB to Bills PS route for sure especially being able to keep 17 guys

  4. Maybe an overreaction but it might be time to start thinking this is Milano last season with the Bills. Great player who is getting older and has had a lot of injuries for his salary. Can he stay on the field

Edit: Just checked it. Looks like he’s on the hook with the Bills until 2026

I am not that high on Kingsley, but by all reports he has had a strong camp and so I was interested to see how he did...and he showed well in this first preseason game.  I think we aren't as deep there this year, so I think he is trending towards making the roster right now.

I will say this, this season is his best shot to make the roster as next year that unit is going to very likely get bolstered IMHO with a significant addition via FA, trade, or the draft.  We have a lot more cap room next season to do so, and we got 3 extra premium draft picks to go along with all our normal picks.  Plus, if I am not mistaken, I think the expectation is we might get another one with a comp pick, but even if we don't we already have an extra 2nd and 2 extra 4ths.

The problem with his play was he had I believe 3 penalties, and to me that’s unacceptable for a roster bubble guy

  6. I just posted in the other thread about this. Don’t think they move on from Trubisky unfortunately and believe that they will look for a younger stash QB.

Really want them to get their hands on Kedon Slovis who is currently with the Colts right now and is getting limited reps because they have 5 QBs in their camp

  7. People have to remember our 2s and 3s were against both the Bears complete offense and their defense for all of the first while the Bills played a mix of guys who were starters, depth, and bubble players.

It was 6-3 late in the 3rd and the guys who are going to get cut let it blow wide open

  8. The biggest takeaway I had for roster battles was Solomon showing burst and ability to get to the QB while Jonathan had I think 3 penalties. That’s a good way to get yourself cut.

Same with Williamson on his boneheaded PF penalty.

It’s hard to judge a game like this because Chicago is in their 2nd game with their rookie starting and the # 1 offense of the Bears playing the whole first quarter against a Bills defense that was missing Jones, Oliver after the first play, Milano and a lot of starters out after a few plays.

With the Bears offense controlling the Bills offense never even really got a chance to get it going with a very vanilla plan

So from what I read when they made the stadium back in the 90s it was a rushed job on the cheap because they needed it done in time for 1999 and in general they cut corners. As a result there are a lot of things now that are vastly more difficult and costly to upgrade because of this which make a new stadium a more realistic possibility over a renovation.

If true that would make me more pissed that they built a ***** stadium with my money now expect me to fork over more.
