I think it stings more to me when they are lost quickly or unexpectedly. I had two Husky brothers, Oreo and Zorro, from the same litter and we raised them both since they were puppies. Oreo was 12 years old when he passed. Up until a month before he was energetic, his normal self and loving life. The next month he had dropped significant weight, jaundice started and he had liver cancer. Due to his age we had him pass to stop any future suffering. My wife and I balled our eyes out for days due to the unexpected nature of it because we had seen him as his normal self until it happened. Zorro was almost 15 when he passed this past October. He was a shell of his former self. He had lost a ton of muscle mass, slept all day, and started to lose his bodily functions while struggling to walk. While I was sad to see him go for sure, it was his time and probably beyond his time with us. I was more empathetic for him and knew I was doing the right thing for him. I miss him but the situations were vastly different and the emotional side of things were handled very different.

I didn't mean Ertz necessarily. I get where you would think that by the way I typed it though. I suspect their going to keep Morris as that 2nd Traditional Y TE in case Knox gets hurt because Kincaid cant block NFL players right now. Having an OL be that guy again then restricts you to really 11 personnel instead of a wide array of packages that they could use with the traditional Y and F TE
-
While, i'm not a fan of Ertz. If the plan is to run 12 with Kincaid as a slot, having a solid 3rd TE who can block is imperative and I expect the Bills to keep 3 TE's on the roster whether that is Morris or someone else.

If the rumor is true that the Eagles are at the Chiefs week 2 I do not expect the Bills week 1. That would be shredding too many great matchups early. I think the Broncos make sense with Sean Payton trying to revitalize them with Russ -

Makes sense for Bengals / Chiefs. Both assumed to win their decisions easily so they want them to play their starters in week 17. Im gonna guess the Bills are on Thursday Night Week 4 to give them time for England because I don’t think they’ll take their bye week 6. -
Yup hence the he'll have to build up his team like the rest of the country. I really like Stutsman wish FSU would have recruited him out of HS. Hell of a player.

Isaiah Simmons might be an answer for the Bills at MLB

Yup I said that earlier his best position is a big ass safety probably in sub packages -

He'd be a better safety than MLB. You have a nasty habit of trying to put highly athletic bad processing football players into the MLB position. I had high hopes for him too but it’s been 4 years at this point he is what he is a sub package player that doesn’t have a real position -
I think we all had the general idea that was happening when the trade went down. Good to see it confirmed.

My thought is McDermott and he hadn't talked about it entirely and then the next day McDermott is like yeah lets give him a shot there and Beane then walked it back.

12 of 32 2020 5th yr options picked up. Bills 100% since 2017

bad draft in 2020 looks like. -
I agree with you on that point. Its funny because last year I crapped all over the Bernard pick saying he was a 6th round prospect and I got was vitriol and eye roll emojis. This year I loved the Williams pick and got vitriol and eye roll emojis after the pick was made. Bernard will end up being the guy that will be ST's or out of the league in 5 years not Williams.
-
I literally laughed out loud to a lot of them. I wish they would do this just for the absurdity of it.
-
He's a very good prospect. It just shows a lack of knowledge on the casual fans part to judge a guy based on twitter rants, media etc. without every seeing the guy take an actual snap. The snap judgement and comparison to Bernard is lazy because their measurables are a like but that's about the only thing they have in common. Williams is a much better prospect than Bernard. I loved Williams and in my day 2 mock actually had him going 83rd so I think the Bills got decent value on the pick and took him right around where I expected him to go.
-
I'd say its likely because I don't think they are going to keep 7 LB's like Sal C thinks, one of Matakevich, Klein, or Dodson isn't making this team with Milano, Williams, Bernard, and Spector laying around as well. I think that is an area where both Shorter and Shavers can make the team. These two if they are as good as they say at ST's would be cheaper options than Veterans like Siran Neal etc.

Just wanted to bring this back up: Biggest Reach: Dawand Jones OT Ohio State I was off by 63 picks when I took Jones in this draft. Couldn't have predicted his fall before all the work ethic concerns came out. Biggest Steal: Brodric Martin DT Western Kentucky Its funny, the least research I did on a player netted me the best gain. I picked Martin 110 picks after he was actually selected in the draft. Biggest Hits: Martin +110 Martin +44 Saldiveri + 34 Biggest Misses: Jones -63 Brown- 58 Scott - 52 My delta score was +4 giving me an insanely average draft position value. Not great, not terrible. I also did one for the 49ers later on and it was much better. My only big bust in that one was Jaelyn Duncan(apparently I need to reevaluate scouting Tackles) Everyone else was positive as I draft Riley Moss, Luke Schoonmaker, Jake Moody, Viliami Fehoko, Jake Andrews, Charlie Jones all with positive delta scores giving me a + 159 for my 49ers draft which would have been a steal considering they had no 1st or 2nd round picks

Famous NFL Draft "Reaches" who went on to significant NFL Success
gonzo1105 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Duggar wasn’t a reach some people were talking about him in the 2nd round. There was actually a strong rumor out there that the Bills were going to take him in round 2 but NE beat them to the punch -
I have a 21 month old son right now. I couldn’t imagine the place hes in rn because I don’t think I’d have the motivation to go on if something like that happened
