Its because he plays too reckless. Its what held Favre back from winning more Superbowls to be honest. If the man plays like he has, taking the easy throws when their given to him, he will win the Bills a SB. If he reverts back to the guy we have seen at times there is a possibility that we never win one with him because of how many good QB's are in the NFL especially the AFC.

Elam a healthy scratch part deux (now part TRES) (now part QUATRO)

I didn't I was just responding to the previous poster who just explained himself. I thought his argument was Elam was a field corner. I'll be honest, I'm probably not the guy to give love to Elam regardless. I hated the pick and he hasn't proven me wrong. I didn't love Torrence pick either and he has shut me up real good though. -
Everyone knows the basics of Zone Coverage. Your basic Cover 2, 3, and 4 are your basic zone coverages. Then you have matchup zones like Palms like someone earlier stated. Then you have mixed zone coverages like Cover 6 where one half of the field is playing Cover 2 while the other half is playing Cover 4. Then there are rotation zones where they show 2 or 4 and rotate into 3. You have your half man/half zone schemes where over the top your playing Cover 2 but underneath your playing man. This doesn't even include your robber coverages and things like that that are zone coverages. That game is much more complex than what the basic coverage books will tell you.

He's been spoiling me for the last 3 weeks after I begged him to change his game and he clearly has. Someone got to him or he looked at himself internally and said I have to make a concerted effort to take the easier throws.

I know the difference between a boundary and field corner. I was a coach in college and High School but thanks for dummies book. I don't know why it was directed at my comment about Siran Neal. Its clear that Benford and Jackson will be the starters moving forward. If your argument is that Neal is a boundary corner vs Elam who is a field corner and Elam will get in before Neal about that then maybe you should explain that. -
Allen's completion percentage - Him, or Dorsey or the weapons
gonzo1105 replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
He’s playing within himself, taking what the defense is giving him and making the easy throw the last 3 weeks. When he does that it opens up bigger plays Down the field. It needs to be impounded in his brain every week -
Hypothetically… Brian Daboll gets the boot….
gonzo1105 replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Quarterbacks almost always make the coach. If Dick Jauron, Gregg Williams, Mike Mularky, or Doug Marrone had Josh Allen their tenures would have been much longer. Daboll is going to get fired because he couldn’t find his Josh Allen -
Brandon Beane…..you have to bring in a Corner.

I think that it depends on what the Bills think of Kaiir Elam, Siran Neal, and Ingram. I don’t think they’d go that route unless they see another long term CB injury -
Taylor Rapp: Have we found our future Poyer replacement?
gonzo1105 replied to Sammy Watkins' Rib's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they will try to re sign Rapp to a deal because lets be frank, it looks like Jordan is done. Father time has set in. Doesn't look like it has set in yet for Hyde from a physical standpoint. Rapp and Hyde next year, draft a young guy early to replace Hyde. Thats the best situation for the future. -
I appreciate this post if nothing more than to highlight a guy who clearly understands the game of football beyond the common fan. I can't stand guys who make claims yet can't articulate the game beyond well two TE's, one makin a lot means the other isn't gonna do certain things that I expected him to do.

You have to remember that Kincaid is being asked to do a ton. Learn a very complex pass scheme structure and he has to learn the blocking schemes, and really learn to block in general since he was rarely asked to do that at Utah. I know people want to see the guy in the college tape but Knox and him along with the guards are making a world of difference in the run game for starters. He is then being used as a weapon underneath which showed yesterday early. He has a ton of receptions just not a lot of big plays yet but they will come, I promise you that as he gets everything down that he is asked to do.

Frazier and/or his System hurt player development
gonzo1105 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is not just a you thing, but what does Leslie Frazier being a good human being have to do with utilizing talent in a correct manner? I mean I’m a good guy doesn’t mean I do everything well in life -

Siran Neal is more trusted by coaches and had a damn good preseason. I’m not saying he will but it’s a possibility -
Frazier and/or his System hurt player development
gonzo1105 replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
No actually I wouldn't. You can see a difference with this defense for whatever reason. This defense is playing with a physical pissed off edge this year. Something that I didn't see over the last couple of years. -
The only play he made outside of the structure of the offense today was the flick down the sideline to Cook and maybe the TD throw to Diggs those are really the only two plays you can say today that was made outside of the structure of the offense
-
Yes this. I keep saying they key to this offense is making Allen a different player. People give me the roll the eyes emoji when I said the most important part of the Bills offense moving forward is Allen playing within the system and become more Brady than Favre. He has done that 3 straight games hitting the 5 yard passes over and over and eventually teams switch out of it and the big plays start coming. When we lose it’s very rarely we get beat. It’s mostly our own self inflicted wounds that cost us games
-
Feel free to merge this with the other Frazier thread but the more I watch this defense, and this team in general, has an edge to it. It’s pretty clear through 4 games that Frazier wasn’t running McDermotts defense and McDermott determined that his DC was holding some players back. The difference in play and aggressiveness from Ed Oliver, Greg Rousseau have been night and day. The development of AJ Epenesa who has been really good early this year, Terrell Bernard, Christian Benford look like pro bowl type players now. just a huge night and day difference with some of these guys from last year.

Well if he’s not active next week I don’t know if he will ever be. Could be active but might not play over Siran Neal -
Week 4, Fish v. Bills - Predict the Score

Bills 37 Dolphins 31 -
Do the Bills have 4 of the fastest players in the NFL right now on offense, because that is the sole reason for their success. Don't have to block anyone when your WR's are immediately open because they can separate. Dont need to have a QB with a cannon arm when the throwing windows are huge. As much as Belichick gets hate, his gameplan is correct. The Dolphins love to throw the ball between the hashes at all levels. Clog the middle of the field and make Tua throw the 12 yard curls, the 9 routes with consistency.

I believe 95% of the time, Quarterbacks make the coordinator/head coach and not the other way around. There are examples of Head Coaches who had mediocre play get their teams deep in the playoffs and/or Super Bowls but usually if you have mediocre QB play you better have absolutely dominate defense. Just look at Adam Gase(Peyton Manning), Josh McDaniel's(Tom Brady), Nathaniel Hackett(Aaron Rodgers) as recent examples of guys who's careers and reps were made off of QB's who could have me as their coach and succeed. Josh Allen is going to succeed at a high level no matter who the coordinator is. The only example of recent successes of guys who look better than they are due to their coach is the team we are playing this week. -

Two really good quick throws for positive yardage and then you chuck it deep into double coverage. My god. -

Sean McVay has been a terrible play caller tonight. The Bengals are literally pinning their ears back all game. How bout you try running the ball like at all this game. He's calling no quick game whatsoever just letting Stafford take 5-7 step drops getting crushed every drop back. Throw the ball to the RB in the flats, run some draws, a WR screen or two any of that would be successful right now but no by all means keep trying to throw down the field.
