  1. Imagine Fred completely stunk up the preseason, looked like a completely over the hill running, and left no question as to remaining NFL effectiveness. Would everyone be making this baseless "marketing" argument.
  2. Fred's Agent owns one of the Bills larger sponsors (Adpro - owner of field house naming rights) by their logic the Bills would have to approve their roster move with him too...these clauses would defy logic
  3. There can certainly be certain permissions granted... But I guarantee the Bills make no roster guarantees to M&T nor do they consult with M&T before making roster decisions. Adpro Team Sports owner Ron Raccuia is Fred's agent...did they need his permission too?
  4. M&T pays the Bills as a sponsor (box seats, use of logo, official bank of the bills, sign up for M&T card) M&T pays Fred to do commercials Separate deals
  5. As I said... When I was with M&T Ray Rice was quickly dropped from all print... Didn't effect/threaten stadium naming rights
  6. Yeah... I was agreeing with u... Hit the wrong quote button
  7. Fred's personal deal with M&T is much different than M&T having a sponsorship deal with the organization
  8. It's not a hiccup...there is a difference between M&T sponsoring the Bills, and M&T hiring Fred to an endorsement deal...there is no way the team's business decisions require notice to a company that hires a player to an endorsement deal
  9. I used to work at M&T with a bit of my time devoted towards advising the marketing dept.. Let me tell ya... Ray Rice was the face of M&T in Baltimore.. That caused a much bigger problem for the bank than this move... This is a matter of redoing print rather than apologizing to the public
  10. It's not a zero sum game...
  11. Since 2009 ...Fred has played about 10 less games than McCoy... FYI
  12. I guess I should rephrase... He's done a lot at his young age... Many "legends" never achieved as much by the age of 40... Give credit where credit Is due
  13. Pro scouting coordinator for a 2x super bowl champ in his early-mid 30s before coming an NFL GM in his 40's... It's not like he's an owner's son who was handed a job
  14. Doug has accomplished much more at this age than many many other "legends" of the game
  15. No... I'm saying that the people worked up about Fred's release are thinking with their heart rather than their head. People are upset for emotional reasons rather than logic. Nobody criticizes the guys who are proven and make these decisions. Doug has to make bold yet emotional moves at some point.
  16. Belicheck does what is best for his team... Goes "rogue" on the regular... Think of the players he has gotten rid of for the better of the team over the last 10+ years... Most recently Vince Wilfork... If Garoppolo tears it up during Brady's potential down time prepare to be shocked... Brady wants to play 6 more years do you think Bellicheck will really hang on to him for that duration?
  17. Thanks for the responses... Some of my buddies told me Orlando is the home afc market. I used to live a block away from church street...as the game approaches I'm gonna contact them and see if they are gonna have the game. Guy that owns the pour house on orange ave is from Buffalo so I'll reach out to him as well.
  18. I spent a few years living in Orlando and knew a few great spots to watch the games. I'll be down for the 10/25 London game with an early start and was hoping for some pointers on a place to watch. Preferably downtown Orlando, Thornton park, college park, or winter park.
  19. I used to live in Orlando. Watched the games at the pour house downtown, as it was walking distance from my place and the owner is from Buffalo so the sound was alwys on.
  20. Nothing said was privileged or confidential...
  21. Just to be clear... The police were called... The bar closed early Saturday because of this incident. Part of the reason some involved don't want to pursue things further is because they are friends of the bar owners. Another reason is that they don't want the attention. The group that the players were with turned on the bouncers looking to break things up. It wasn't some small fracas that went unnoticed and was quickly or quietly resolved. I worked in the bar/club business for many many years. This wasn't your run of the mill dust up.
  22. Nobody is suing...let's just hope these guys grow up a bit.
  23. Not quite the sentiment. More like "We got assaulted by a NFL player that thinks he is above the law." Nobody looking to sue but they should be held accountable. No interest in a suit nor a money grab. I will be completely forthright and say that the only ask was that I reach out to the Bills so that they know how their employees are acting.
