When will people stop believing that every first rounder works out? Only a third of them in recent years turn out to be the answer, a sixth make it as journeymen (ala Holcomb quality), and half are busts? I'm hoping JP makes it, but we can't blind ourselves to the odds. We may get more of the same no matter how long he is the starter, and we have to have the ability to cut our losses and be ready to move on just in case.
So - what would it take for us to decide he is not the answer and get a new qb to start over with? A full season as a 50% passer? Two? Three?
