I'll probably be at Champs tomorrow too, with two other Bills fans. I'll be wearing the home McGahee jersey. Bring as many as you can and show up early - maybe they'll put the Bills game on a big screen.

They said they didn't take into account the preseason at all. They based it on the end of the last season and offseason moves.

Fox Sports's power rankings before week 1 have the Bills at 5th overall, ahead of the Jets, Steelers, Ravens, Chiefs, Jags... If THAT doesn't pump me up for the season, I don't know what does. FOXSports Power Rankings

Okay I'm obviously not writing off the Texans. But it's nice to see their starting quarterback struggle against a so-so defense. Certainly better than if he went 8/8 for 75 yards and a touchdown on his first and only drive.

Carr went 1/5 for 4 yards with 2 interceptions. Looking good for opening day!

(LAMP)Tommy Lee Goes to College........

Be advised that if you read the credits closely, it turns out that he's not actually enrolled in the University of Nebraska, and that snazzy dorm room he lives in is not actually on campus, nor is his roommate a student at Nebraska. Still makes for a funny show, though. -
It says my picks have been rejected because of the 1 underdog rule, but I picked 6 underdogs!

Theo's actually off playing in the British Premier Hockey League. I kid you not. -

[OT] Arrested for going topless in public!

He probably has Turner's Syndrome, which is pretty sad. It's when you have XXY as your sex chromosomes (as opposed to XX for females and XY for males). Since the Y chromosome is the dominant allele, you're still male, but having two X chromosomes gives you female traits, such as enlarged breasts, lack of facial hair, high voice, etc. -
Actually, the ISS did a mock lottery for a mock draft, and guess who came up with the no.1 pick? That's right. My beloved Toronto Maple Leafs. Sadly, it was only a mock, but their single ball got them the pick. I'm hoping for a repeat.

Hehe that's pretty funny. Makes it seem like all the Bills are going through "that time of month." www.midol.com -
The only CFL aspect that's better than the NFL
McGill Bill replied to McGill Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defenses or not, one team still has the advantage of first possession. It's obviously an advantage. The statistics may say that teams don't capitalize, but it still allows the toss-winning team first crack at winning the game. Yes, the defense of a winning team should be able to stop them, but if they can't, shouldn't their offense be given a shot too? Perhaps you could do a ten-minute game, with two halves. Kinda like a short version of a full NFL game. That would be the best way to sort it out, if you ask me. -
Canadian football has its wacky rules. Three downs are dumb. So is the rouge. And the retarded position of the field goal post. And the size of the field and endzones. And the 12th man. But the one thing about Canadian football that I find extremely exciting is overtime. For those that don't know, the way it works is that the teams play a maximum of two mini-games in which each team gets one possession starting from the opponent's 35-yard line. Whoever scores more points in their possession wins the game. After the second mini-game, it's a tie. I find this is miles (or should I say, kilometres) better than the NFL overtime. There's too much luck in the coin toss in the NFL. I suppose the CFL's overtime is kind of like the football version of a hockey shootout, but it really is more fair than the NFL's.

Come for football stay for the jugs!
McGill Bill replied to Marc in MontrÈal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, you see, it's boxing day. Not boxer day. And, I can't tell if you're joking or not, but it's so close to Christmas because that's when the sales are. Forgive me for taking you seriously if you weren't being serious. And forgive me for that last sentence if you were being serious. Canada Day? Well, I guess early July is a popular time for country-makin'. -

If there are any cheap south side seats left tomorrow, I might go watch. They're super cheap. It's also Canada Day tomorrow, which is a blast in Ottawa. It's not exactly NFL, but it's definitely a decent substitute until the big boys play in September. And yes, there will be boobies. Good ol' liberal Canada. -

1-0 Bills on a rouge by Lindell. -
So, they can be any position and you just choose your lineup every week? Including defenses?
-
Uhh...I'm new to Yahoo Sports and don't know what "BN" is as a position. Please fill me in.

You see, the best thing to do, if it were a flat, open road, would be to pull out into the oncoming lane as if you're gonna pass, have them speed up to 100, but then keep it there. If there's oncoming traffic, then duck back behind them, but if it's a clear road for miles, just let them floor it and ride at that speed all the way to your destination. That, or pull out your 9 and smoke 'em. -
here's the henry deal the bills need to make
McGill Bill replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with trying to trade Henry for a draft pick is that Tennessee is "in transition," or in other words, they suck. Teams that suck need picks to "transition" and "rebuild," as the buzz words of today go. I'd expect them to try to keep or acquire as many picks as they can, rather than letting them go. Trading for picks would probably be easier with a team like Philadelphia. -
All right, then in that case I suppose I won't suggest it. Instead, I'll petition the administration to force the department to provide free copies of Maple to all students in the Faculty of Science.

You're joking. You must be. My sweet lord. Le Dome has got to be the single worst place to spend your night in North America. It's really just a bunch of 32-year-olds pretending to be 25 hitting on 16-year-olds pretending to be 20. I went there during frosh week and promised myself I'd never return. It's gross, man.

There is an option called "visualize answer" in which, after entering our answer in ASCII, shows what it would look like normally. But you still have to enter it first manually. I've never heard of LaTeX though. Perhaps I should suggest it to the math department though.
-
Yes, ASCII doesn't quite work for math discussions. If you think our misunderstanding was bad, here's an answer (which must be submitted in ASCII) to one of the questions on an assignment I have on partial derivatives: -112xye^(-8(x^2)-6(y^2)) - (80+224xy)e^(-8(x^2)-6(y^2)) - (80x + 112(x^2)y)(-16x)e^(-8(x^2)-6(y^2)) Confusing, eh?
