Other than your brief summary of your understanding of my views, I don't see any real attempt at debate in all this. Just more flames. I hate to say I told you so, but . . . I told you so!

If I was the idiot you claim, my posts would be replete with grammatical errors. You haven't pointed any out, despite your evident need to slap the "idiot" label (or should I say libel?) on me. If you don't want to accept my claim of Mensa membership without me faxing you a copy of my membership card, fine. Don't. But even so, your efforts to label me an idiot are crass dishonesty. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm calling you on it. Do I care whether someone willing to tell lies about my intelligence thinks I'm a Nazi? Not particularly. Now, as to the second quote you mentioned: I'm assuming this was written by a Nazi. By your own logic, anyone who agrees with even one statement any Nazi has ever written about race is therefore a Nazi. Fine. Maybe you'd like it if we all preached disrespect for other races to avoid agreeing with any Nazi about anything race related. Would that make you happy? -

An excellent post overall, but I disagree with the part about vouchers. School choice (including the freedom to choose a private school) should exist for everyone, not just the well off. So if student X is slated to receive $10,000 in education funding, let that child and his or her parents decide which school the child should go to (and therefore receive the money). This free market mechanism will do a better job of holding schools accountable than the present bureaucrat-choice education model we presently have in place. -
You call this a post? I'm not going to take the time to point out each and every one of your mistakes, because in the long run that's a task which could take a lifetime. Instead, I'll focus on your quote that Ignoring the error of using present tense grammar in reference to men who are dead, this quote demonstrates a basic lack of understanding about everything I feel and believe about the topic. FDR needlessly insisted on unconditional German surrender, and made no distinction between a Nazi and non-Nazi German government. According to Thomas Fleming's book The New Dealers' War, Churchill was appalled by the demand for unconditional German surrender, because he realized it might well prolong the war, and prevent Hitler from being overthrown. Had the U.S. made peace with a post-Nazi Germany, the war would have ended sooner, and the Iron Curtain would have been hundreds of miles to the east. The nation most strengthened by FDR's extreme position was the Soviet Union; because that nation was able to use the absence of a negotiated peace to grab Poland and half of Germany. FDR's policy of unconditional surrender therefore benefited the Soviet Union at America's expense. Whether this was because of political reasons (as Fleming implies in his book), or whether it was because of outright treason (as Coulter seems to imply in her book Treason) is almost beside the point. The bottom line is that the Soviet Union nearly launched WWIII because its overwhelming strength gave it the confidence it could win. That it did not do so was only due to Stalin's death. I do not believe you have the knowledge or intellectual capacity to debate the points I've raised. Your style of debate is better suited to putting labels on people than to dealing with facts. But you're welcome to try to prove me wrong.

Here's one person who's fed up with your simian style of debate: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showtopic=24579&st=20 And in case you're wondering, no, I haven't forgotten that you were stupid enough to call a Mensa member a moron, retard, etc., nor that you were dishonest enough to fail to take these insults back after learning they were a bunch of hot air. Your Nazi sympathizer remark shows an appalling ignorance of history. I've read articles written in this country in the 1960s; the authors of which recommend eliminating all laws against interracial marriage. These authors--whose support for racial integration, etc. was clear--wrote that the elimination of provisions against interracial marriage would not materially increase the rate of intermarriage, because the main force opposing it was a lack of social acceptance. And that, in case you are too dense to grasp it, means that even as late as the 1960s, interracial marriage was generally frowned upon in the U.S. Unless you are prepared to state that most Americans, prior to the 1970s, were Nazis (a statement which would be breathtakingly ignorant even by your standards) you must agree that a dislike for intermarriage is not the same as being a Nazi. Or at least, you must admit this if you have any intellectual honesty whatsoever. Which thus far, you've failed to display. -
That would explain your "here we go again" attitude when the subject of the Ukrainian famine came up.

First I'm an idiot, now I'm a Nazi sympathizer. Please, CTM, enlighten us with more of your wisdom. Oh and by the way, other posters have also complained about your feces slinging. Guess they must not have liked the smell. In answer to your question, it is indeed embarrassing to belong to the same organization as you. -

Wrong. The post in which I mentioned the Mensa membership quoted a CTM post in which he called me a "retard." My point--which apparently you missed--was that it's pretty stupid to insult someone's intelligence when that someone is a Mensa member. He'd been throwing around insults on my intelligence on a bunch of different threads, and at that point I decided it wasn't something I should have to put up with anymore. I'm not particularly interested in the disc/disk debate, but if you're going to call the word "disc" improper English, it would help if you could supply a link. The dictionary.com entry doesn't indicate the word "disc" is improper English. -

Did you even bother to read my post before responding with this drivel? I'd have been happy to "win the argument" as you suggest, had there been one. CTM did everything he could to prevent there from being any kind of intelligent discussion by creating a flame war instead. His favorite flame tactic was to call me an idiot, so I mentioned the Mensa membership to shut his ugly face up. My hope was that I and other reasonable posters could go back to the intelligent discussion we had had before CTM obtruded his unwelcome presence upon us. As for the validation issues thing, if that's what you want to believe about me, fine. Whatever makes you happy. -

If you're actually agreeing with him in the absence of any medical conditions, that's even worse. Well, everyone makes a boneheaded mistake once in a while, so I won't judge you too harshly. -

Fair enough, but when that Mensa card's sitting there, and you've got some fecal matter flinging monkey calling you an idiot, it's hard to resist the temptation to put the smelly primate in his place. BTW, I didn't take the membership test. Instead, I was allowed in based on my performance on a different standardized aptitude test that I had to take anyway for other purposes. I was new to the area I was living in at the time of joining, and it seemed like a good way to meet people. I didn't mention the Mensa membership to brag. In my book, the people who really deserve to brag are the ones who squeeze every last ounce of achievement out of whatever talents or abilities they happen to have been given. Instead, my reason for mentioning the fact was because it's a cheap, easy tactic to pretend someone is an idiot just because they disagree with you. Clearly, this tactic is better suited to a flame war than to an intelligent debate, which is why CTM is so fond of it. The mention of the Mensa membership takes this option off the table. Expecting intelligent debate from the likes of CTM is too much to ask, but there's a slight chance that having been so woefully wrong about my intelligence will shut him up a little. I doubt it, but a man can always hope. -

So we'll have to agree on whether or not you're presently human, but disagree on whether or not I'm a Nazi. Carry on. -

You're actually agreeing with something CTM said? Are you taking any medications? Are you sleeping well at night? Are you under a lot of stress? Are you feeling okay? Any problems with your love life? -
Both Darin and KRC make good points. Ultimately it would be impossible to be completely sure of everything going on over there; but based on what I've learned, both sides, but especially the Israelis, are deeply flawed.

Every child deserves to be taught at the maximum speed he or she can learn at. Slowing some children down because others in the class are slow is unfair. In almost no other area of life do we allow the limitations of some to dictate restrictions for all. Imagine if book stores were only allowed to sell books with a simple enough sentence and thought structure that the average person could read them. Or if a law was passed against recreational activities (such as running marathons) that the average person lacks the capacity to do. Adults do not accept such artificial, arbitrary, and needless restrictions on themselves; and I see no reason why they should be imposed on our children. -

You're not bothered by the Orwellian implications of thought police and thought-based executions? Actually, had the U.S. executed everyone who opposed interracial marriage in the period you mention, it would have wiped out a significant percentage of its population, including many minorities. Which would have made it the Soviet Union of the West. It's funny how thought police and mass murder go hand in hand, isn't it? -
Interesting attitude. Perhaps you'd care to explain your sense of amusement to the family members of the victims of the Ukrainian famine. I guess it's only natural for those who grew up in safety and relative comfort (which, by your immature attitude, I'm assuming you did) to look down on the sufferings of those who had to face the threat of mass murder.

That's the comment you should have made the first time around. Oh, and the correct grammar is '80s, not 80's. The apostrophe takes the place of the missing "19" at the beginning of the year. -

If you're aware your spelling is horrible, it was foolish to try to call someone else out on a perceived spelling mistake. Or if you are going to do that, at least take the time to find out whether disc is an acceptable spelling (it is). -

You did read my post, didn't you? I wrote they spelled it "disc," which they did. Because "disc" is accepted by both dictionary.com and IBM, VA was mistaken in saying I made a spelling error. You are aware you just called a Mensa member a retard, aren't you? -

The post you linked to did not say that any one race was better than the others, just that they should not intermarry. For you to confuse opposition to interracial marriage with Nazi racial theory is shockingly stupid even by the standards of your recent posts. Many or most of the American soldiers who fought and died in WWII also opposed intermarriage. Do you hate those soldiers as much as you hate Kurt? Your mind has clearly been filled with hate to the point where you are no longer capable of discussing certain issues with any form of rationality. I pity you.
