  1. January 2, 2004. Mike Mularkey couldn't coach this team to beat the Steelers 2nd and 3rd stringers to get into the playoffs. that was a wrap for him with me........
  2. during the 80's and 90's high performing tight ends- and i mean the best in the league averaged from 50-60 catches a season and less than 700 yards. Ben Coates for the Pats and Shannon Sharpe while in Denver are the exceptions to this with multiple huge years(80+ receptions). The position just wasn't used like it is now. Pete Metzelaars was a solid tight end who would have put up monster numbers if he were playing in this no defense era. to provide perspective: 1996: 1 Shannon Sharpe DEN TE 80 1,062 13.3 70.8 51 10 16 2 52 65.0 1 2 Ben Coates NE TE 62 682 11.0 42.6 84T 9 6 1 37 59.7 1 3 Wesley Walls CAR TE 61 713 11.7 44.6 40T 10 4 1 44 72.1 0 4 Brian Kinchen BAL TE 55 581 10.6 36.3 29 1 8 0 26 47.3 0 5 Frank Wycheck HOU TE 53 511 9.6 31.9 29 6 4 0 25 47.2 2 6 Pete Mitchell JAC TE 52 575 11.1 35.9 30 1 3 0 28 53.8 1 7 Eric Bjornson DAL TE 48 388 8.1 27.7 25 3 5 0 21 43.8 1 8 Lonnie Johnson BUF TE 46 457 9.9 28.6 33 0 6 0 17 37.0 1 9 Jamie Asher WAS TE 42 481 11.5 30.1 34 4 8 0 25 59.5 0 9 Ken Dilger IND TE 42 503 12.0 31.4 51 4 9 2 22 52.4 1 11 Keith Jackson GB TE 40 505 12.6 31.6 51T 10 6 2 28 70.0 0 1994: 1 Ben Coates NE TE 96 1,174 12.2 73.4 62T 7 15 1 65 67.7 2 2 Shannon Sharpe DEN TE 87 1,010 11.6 67.3 44 4 14 2 51 58.6 1 3 Keith Jackson MIA TE 59 673 11.4 42.1 35 7 8 0 36 61.0 2 4 Johnny Mitchell NYJ TE 58 749 12.9 46.8 55 4 10 1 38 65.5 1 5 Brent Jones SF TE 49 670 13.7 44.7 69T 9 9 1 28 57.1 1 5 Pete Metzelaars BUF TE 49 428 8.7 26.8 35T 5 4 0 24 49.0 0 7 Jay Novacek DAL TE 47 475 10.1 29.7 27 2 2 0 33 70.2 0 8 Eric Green PIT TE 46 618 13.4 41.2 46 4 8 1 31 67.4 2 9 Irv Smith NO TE 41 330 8.0 20.6 19 3 0 0 17 41.5 0 10 Tony McGee CIN TE 40 492 12.3 30.8 54 1 5 1 24 60.0 0 1990: 1 Jay Novacek DAL TE 59 657 11.1 41.1 41 4 -- -- -- -- -- 2 Brent Jones SF TE 56 747 13.3 46.7 67T 5 -- -- -- -- -- 3 Marv Cook NE TE 51 455 8.9 28.4 35T 5 -- -- -- -- -- 4 Keith Jackson PHI TE 50 670 13.4 47.9 37T 6 -- -- -- -- -- 5 Pete Holohan RAM TE 49 475 9.7 29.7 28 2 -- -- -- -- -- 6 Steve Jordan MIN TE 45 636 14.1 39.8 38 3 -- -- -- -- -- 7 Mark Boyer NYJ TE 40 334 8.4 20.9 25 1 -- -- -- -- -- 7 Rodney Holman CIN TE 40 596 14.9 37.2 53 5 -- -- -- -- -- 9 Eric Green PIT TE 34 387 11.4 29.8 46 7 -- -- -- -- -- 9 Keith McKeller BUF TE 34 464 13.6 29.0 43 5 -- -- -- -- -
  3. Orchard park rd in west seneca, union rd in cheektowaga, transit rd east amherst
  4. Carubba is one of the best. I dealt with them all the time in my old line of work. They are one of maybe 2 shops i would ever use. Is the car owned or leased? That should play into the decision on where to go. If leased, take it to the dealer and let them do the work so there's no issues at turn in time. Hope your daughter was ok.
  5. The only rb that could have had a good year behind the run blocking our o-line provided would have been Barry Sanders. I put it mostly on the horrible o-line, not the rb's. We'll see what next year brings.
  6. Vander Eche plays for a high profile team in a big market. Talking heads tend to play more lip service to those team's players and overhype them. Look at all the Dak Prescott talk this week leading up to the game before he lead an egg. Vander Eche had a good rookie year, but I'm glad we have Edmunds. Edmunds went from looking lost in the beginning of the season to performing like a solid player by the end. He's developing as he goes and that's exactly what i hoped to see from him. I think Edmunds turns out to be more valuable in the longrun.
  7. Mahomes would only have potential in Buffalo, not production. Not enough pieces to the puzzle here.
  8. What if the other team's starting qb, wr, rb and oline has the flu and can't play due to dehydration? Do you still not put money on the Bills? ?
  9. If Rosen gets traded, he ends up in Denver. Calling it now. Horseteeth will try to save face before being put out to pasture.
  10. Allen has done ok with little to no help on offense. I can see him being mentioned in the same breath as Mahomes when the bills revamp the oline and he gets the wideouts/tight ends that can catch a ball. Edmunds is showing signs of being an anchor. Tre doesn't make mistakes too often- he makes plays. No way would the bills trade 3 cornerstones together for anyone. And Mahomes would look like garbage here with the current roster. ESPN and just about their entire staff is crazy.
  11. I think it was the right move not to hire the comeback king. Expectations would have been unrealistic. And I'd hate if a bad coaching stint here would have tarnished some of the memories he made for me.
  12. I always thought of the Packers as a model for success, but now with all this Rodgers drama, not so much anymore. Thumbs down to the Pack
  13. I'd take a Superbowl win against anyone. It wouldn't matter how, or who we beat on the way to get it.
  14. Maybe the culture in Pittsburgh has deteriorated so much over the past few years, that players are beginning to not go with the flow. The Steelers now have had 2 superstar players, Bell and Brown, take issues with different aspects of the team. i can't remember the Steelers ever having these problems in the past.
  15. So we don't want to get players that want to win championships and put up numbers to earn big contracts?
  16. It be great to delete this thread and topic so no kids have their innocence ruined by accident.
  17. Hey, i'm Terry Pegula's son. I am entitled to one sixth of his holdings...... where's the facts to back this up? They don't matter. Just take ME at my word. This is what Bucky is doing. Much like most B-Lo news reporters, making statements with no facts to back them up, if only opinions or hot takes. People got tired of the coloumnists pretending to be hosts of Pardon The Interuption on daily Bills and Sabres articles. No in depth investigation, ONLY their opinions- which were a broken record. And it got old. And they got run out. And now they're bitter. Where's the facts on Bucky's claim? Sounds like sour grapes..... until there's evidence.
  18. Zay Jones? 3rd overall pick Mike Williams drove his car into a ditch near the stadium. His career soon followed. Now he was a bust.
  19. I read through the first 8 pages of this topic and for me it solidifies my opinion even more. This country is screwed. To much division between the people. It's always one groups opinion vs another's, and if you don't agree with a certain take on an issue, you are wrong. Then the subtle insults start. Then the arguement breaks out. Because nobody can simply compromise during discussions anymore, it just gets louder and goes off the rails. The politicians and media consistently push this crap to distract people from important issues. I'm a veteran and could care less if people kneel or don't stand for the flag, anthem, whatever. I stand, hat removed, hand on heart, for my flag. In this country, I only have to answer for me and my actions.
  20. Seminole HardRock in Hollywood. Awesome place, not bad drive to stadium.
  21. http://www.wivb.com/news/local-news/day-after-being-placed-on-bills-retiredreserved-list-incognito-says-he-will-return-to-off-season/1121095069 Things are getting strange round here.
  22. I think he Bills are moving in the right direction now. The team is positioning itself right or wrong to be something in 3 to 4 years. Brady's time is coming to an end. As much as i hate that guy, we really don't stand a chance while he's playing as he has beat ALL of the best of the current best. I like the stacking of picks. I think it plays out like this: We draft a franchise QB. Taylor walks. We build the team around our guy. Brady retires. The Jets and Dolphins stay mediocre. The Pats lose a huge advantage when Brady hangs it up. The Bills, if they play their their cards right are there to take the AFC East throne for the long haul. The bills never really hit rock bottom to do a full rebuild after the glory years. Everything is lining up to do it now. To put the team in a great spot when the cheaters qb calls it quits.
