Don't view it as a back up role. The other back needs to be very instrumental is the success of the offense. AJ Dillon would be that player. With our stout D this HAMMER of a man would ice many a game as I believe we'll play with a lead often.

I'm all for improving the backup QB, but Beane wouldn't lose his job if he didn't. Would love Dalton (though he stands to get starter gig), Flacco's future is as someone's back up at this juncture, Winston I'd be good with as back up though I'm sure he's seeking starter spot and Cam, while there might be something left in the tank, would drive me nuts. precisely London calling Dalton is better. Period.

He did so as DC a looooooong time ago. As HC and at the position Cam plays, I don't see it. BB has the ultimate in stability these past 2 decades at the most important position. Dalton would be a better fit, imo.

This. If Cam wants to resurrect his career, this is his best place. Plug and play and hope for the best. I would maintain that Dalton would be the better option for any of the franchises in need of a QB.

I'm guessing it's easier to deal with these types when Brady is on your roster.
