Is Deuce, Alexander, Lewis, Portis, Holmes, James any better a selection 2nd overall than WM? I'm actually thinking of trading down several spots (6 or 7) with the oppurtunity to select my back and then pick earlier in the 2nd round with the ensueing trade. Thoughts?

Whether or not that's the case, he was not brought in to pass protect. He's a road grader by all accounts and will be used as such. The offensive scheming will work around, or try to anyway, any defficiencies the left side may have in protection. I'm fairly confident that with poised play by JP (ie...not running into trouble) this will be accomplished.

I absolutely agree. Our line will "appear" to be better. Especially in the pass blocking dept. JP's mobility and the play calling will give the appearance of better line play. Run blocking? Full steam ahead. WM will post 1600 yds this season. I really believe that.

I live in the Springfield, MA area about 10 minutes from the BB HOF. I haven't been in some, oh, 8 years or so. Anyway, they have on a pedestal, a bronzed (real size 22) sneaker belonging to BL. Every winter I call and ask the director of the HOF if I can borrow Big Bob's Boot so I can take my girls toboggining (sp?). Needless to say, the answer is always no.

You couldn't be more wrong. The drafted RB's have come and gone. Jags and Titans are already in need. Others will be too. JUST BE PATIENT. As far as James and Alexander, they're too expensive which makes TH more valuable. TH can be had for much less than those two.

Desperation due to injury will change the opinion of other GM's. You gain NOTHING trading him now, or more accurately, not as much. Just be patient. We'll get exactly what we want. Regarding TH handling the "physical complexities", you're dead wrong. He's already proven that. He may be dumber than a stump, but don't tell me he can't handle it physically.

Too many variables. You lose nothing waiting for the right situation to come along. Perhaps another team loses it's back and might be willing to deal a 2nd rounder. You never know what value another team might place on TH with their backs against the wall. Especially with other interested bidders out there. Bottom line, we're getting at least a 3rd, maybe more.

Who cares where he goes. Moving him gives us an oppurtunity to get better be it a draft pick or player. Is hell looking for a RB? Travis can go there for all I care.
