  1. Thoughtful and fair. I agree. He's a good listen.
  2. Pronounced "batree"....as in....."Someone stole my mother F@#$in' batree"
  3. The Chiefs OL is pretty good, don't you think? Where was their magic? Fixing our OL would be a good start. We've got other issues.
  4. If they "pay" him. "Home" is where the money is.
  5. Is that Steve Somers here.......and you there?
  6. Interesting that they hired this Larry Zierlein as asst OL coach. MW personal tutor, perhaps?
  7. A couple of things. One, I agree with you whole-heartedly about bringing in Schaub. I think this kid can play. I said so in an earlier thread. Two, don't waste your time apologizing to the rude jacka$$es that take exception to the mere thought of someone else other than JP QBing this team. jeezus krist, people. It's a different opinion than yours. Believe it or not, it's welcomed here. Isn't it?
  8. Geez....and I thought it was just a varied opinion.
  9. As a matter of fact, yes I am. Anything wrong with wanting to win sooner rather than later?
  10. I don't want to "wait and see" what we have in JP. Sorry JP supporters, I just don't. I'd like to give ourselves a better chance to win with someone who you already know what you'll get. Understanding not one of the following candidates is perfect, they would give a us a better chance. That could be Culpepper, Collins or Volek. I also like Matt Schaub. Atlanta's best QB.
  11. Throw JP's name into this mix as well. I know, I know. We don't know what we have in him yet. Exactly my point. Bring in someone more established. If winning now is the order, I don't feel JP is the answer.
  12. I admire your conviction.......however skewed it may be.
  13. Aren't there 6 other rounds and free agency? If we were ever fortunate enough for Williams to be there at #8, we take him. Period. This guy is a difference maker.
  14. I know. What's he thinkin'? We have the wonderful JP.
  15. Truth be told, he can't grow one.........a very ominous sign.
  16. (with ears covered) LALALALALALALA......I can't hear you...LALALALALALA.....everyone wants to be a Bill......LALALALALALA
  17. I'm with you, brother. I'm not knocking the Splendid Splinter, I'm a big fan myself. Though I haven't read his book, I've often heard how others have benefitted from his teachings. You're proof of that. He done learned you somethin'....which is pretty cool. Must've been nice taking his "word" to the field of play and making it work for you. That's good stuff.
  18. I will look for that. Hey, no doubting MS is a fiery competitor who was an all-time great. And, by the way, I wouldn't mind having that "fire" on our sidelines. Maybe with some seasoning......
  19. I would agree with you if the old regime were still in place. Since they're not, the new staff may not feel the same about JP. They've changed coaches which also means they're changing philosophies. I don't pretend to know their thinking here, but maybe, just maybe they're not enamored with the kid. We shall see. They won't necassarily wait for him to develope just because of his draft status if they're not sold on his game. If they're not, IF, then cut loose however the best way possible and get someone in here they do believe in and lets get busy winning some football games.
  20. While I agree with much of what you have stated, I was just trying to imply that "greatness" on the field doesn't necassarily translate to the coaching.
  21. Good post. We've all heard the Favre comparisons. When I think Losman, I think David Carr. Talent, but no QB instinct. Hell, he has that bad Carr hairdo going too. Not that that matters.....
  22. Seems to be an important ingredient......just ask Bart Starr, Ted Williams and Isaiah Thomas...
