  1. Who said Fitz had to replace JP as the starter? Grab a valuable extra 3rd rounder (or who knows...possibly 2nd is what I'd be asking) and play Holcomb, who I anticipate being better next year anyway. We've got options. The more I think of it, the more I like it. Guess I'm just not as sold on JP as many are.
  2. Oh right, he wasn't drafted so he couldn't possibly get any better. Considering this kid had virtually no preperation time, I'm not so sure he couldn't be adequate with the right OL and a coach already familiar with him. You don't have to like the proposal, but don't discount it because the kid wasn't drafted. Unless you see some unsubstantiated upside with JP, I would CONSIDER it. I'm not one that thinks JP is the "end-all" with or without the proper OL. All I know is that with the way this team sits, another #3 this year would look awfully good.
  3. I like what I saw from him in spot duty last year. He's certainly smart enough, Harvard I believe. Add a 3rd in this particular draft you propose, and I could be swayed. Though, I'm not sure why St Louis would do this.
  4. It's the Denver OL as a whole that is good. I think it's more the system than the player. Bring over the whole unit and now you're talkin'.
  5. Agreed. I think White will be the best workhorse of the group coming out. Teams interested in him will want to move up right around #8.
  6. Ooooooo.....you were doing so well until you mentioned Reed. I don't recall our OL slapping the ball out of his hands.
  7. I voted Childress because I wanted the HC to have more of an offensive influence, but none of these guys jumps out at me. I'm more interested in learning who our coordinators will be. Minus Payton and McCarthy, we could have hired any of them and then predicate my opinion, not just on the HC hiring, but on the staff as a whole.
  8. Bea Arthur. I just adore a gravely voice blue hair with her mouth apparently locked in a rather prone position.
  9. I believe there is. Wade Phillips......the fact that he looks like Bob Newhart with a hyperactive thyroid is troubling, but I'd go back to him over DJ anyday.
  10. "DICK!!..........Jauron my Dick....get off, man!!"
  11. Oh my lord.......he's a balding pedophile.....HEAD coach, indeed.
  12. Maybe it's smarter. Maybe not. My philosophy differs in that I'd rather have the stud OL that would enhance the game of a "lesser" RB. As opposed to say.....WM and ....well......you get the point. Certainly more than one way to skin a cat, I guess.
  13. Exactly. Why would a Shi$$y team, that has needs everywhere, start with the OL? Doesn't make sense.
  14. Bank on it. I like Saunders. What's not to like? Lets see.....Gibbs HC...Williams and Saunders as OC and DC. NICE STAFF!
  15. Jauron....front runner.....he's being reported as the front runner.
  16. Which, in turn, would make him the highest paid coach in sports history.
  17. Tails it is..........as the front runner, anyways. So says their flashboy.
  18. But........if we trade him.....you'll be half "poster" you are now?!?!
  19. Some guys are better off as career coordinators. Here is an example of one.
  20. I think Ben Watson could be this years Antonio Gates. Ricky Williams, when he comes back from vacation will be used extensively or be dealt. Imagine the Vikes calling for him by week 6 because of a banged up Bennett and an overworked Moore. Without Moss, they need that pounding runner. The Vikes might be contenders as they are now, but a Ricky addition would put them over the top.
  21. Ben Hartstock plays second fiddle to Clark, who by the way, is questionable this week.
  22. great......maybe they'll follow it up with Emotional Rescue.
  23. lol #14,500 .....good one!
  24. Come on. You know it's more than the numbers. No comparison.
  25. This has to be the most ridiculous post I've ever seen! Let me get this straight, Travelingman. You're comparing Kelly to Bledsoe?!?! I don't need to explain how absurd that is, I'm sure others will. Not only do you compare those two, but your "accurate" assessment that DB would do better than "any of us" is some hard hitting commentary. HE'S A FREAKIN NFL QB, I would hope he's a little better anyone on this board(...and not by much). If your purpose was to stir the pot, you've done that. If your purpose was to somehow to convince others that DB, in ANY way compares to Jimbo, you've failed miserably. JEEZ........
