  1. You're Beerball, it's what you do.
  2. K-9 I would love this, though Detroit would be nuts to do this.
  3. NFL Network, HANDS DOWN! I can't stand ESPN.
  4. Question. What do you think these "weak" teams are saying when they see the mighty Bills on their schedule?
  5. Yes, adding Stroud and Johnson, should, in theory, make the pass rush better. But make no mistake, We have no one the equal of Tuck, Strahan and Umenyura. Quite a difference, don't you think?
  6. If we are fortunate enough to find a trade-down partner in the late teen range maybe early 20s and draft a WR while obtaining another high pick, I'm on board. Otherwise, I say we wait and see what WRs are still available come round 2 and even 3. I just don't see all these Wrs going that fast. I'm guessing we'll be pleasantly surprised who is there for us in the subsequent rounds.
  7. This is about the here and now. Fact is, they now have a legit rush off the edge. Allen will make a difference. Their D just got tremendously better, regardless of cost. The presseure they now bring comes from up the gut (K. Williams) and off the edge. It should be dynamite.
  8. So why not the 2nd or 3rd round? Why MUST it be the 1st round?
  9. While I agree the money is laughable and, yes, a 1st & 2 3rds is steep, fact remains the Vikes brought him in for one reason only. To get to the QB. With their interior run D, they don't need Allen to excel in that dept. Steep price in picks and money? You bet. Is the team better because of this? Yes it is. Now, if they can only find a servicable QB this is a SB team.
  10. Interesting stats. All I know is this, the more you pressure the QB the better your defense is, sacks or no sacks. Pressure, pressure, pressure. Don't believe me? Ask Tom Brady.
  11. You can't trade comp picks.
  12. Because he was not instrumental in said SB? It must have been very painful for him to watch the playoff run made by his team culminating in the SB victory. Boss had a nice stretch and though I'd expect know one to speak publicly, I'd have to believe he's looked at as expendable. Afterall, he was not needed to win a championship, right? If the right offer came around, I think the Gints pull the trigger. With his injury history, I don't think it would cost all that much to get him, IMO. I'm not saying we'd make a play for him, or that he's even worth dealing for/with, but it could be done.
  13. The only thing worse than this would be Buffalo taking a WR @ 11. Good luck!
  14. .....anything that pours.
  15. Me and my buddies are coming over. Sounds like a great day! My spring yard cleanup will be done this weekend, but it looks like I'll be at the softball field for a good chunk of next Saturday with my daughters team. My brother calls me every several picks to keep me posted. Gone are the days of watching it in its entirety, at least for the next few years.
  16. I assume you're assuming this is a done deal.
  17. mmmmmmm.....I would argue the opposite. It's the front 7 that'll make the secondary shine. Don't get me wrong, good CBs are, well, good , but even the best secondaries can't hold coverage long enough to make a defensive front better. Especially ours. Now I understand in theory the addition of Stroud SHOULD free up our ends, but we're not talking about classic "get after the QB " type ends here. Give me someone who knows how to sniff out the QB in a hurry. Our CBs instantly become better.
  18. Astro, I love your keen eye for an opening and the creativity to go along with it. Keep it up bro, you're a good read.
  19. It STILL bothers me that Da Bears gave the ball to Da "fridge" on the goal line in the SB blowout of the Pats*. Walter was the MAN.
  20. I agree, rtconner. Adding any of these DE would be welcomed in my book. As mentioned above, if the ability to move down is there we could snag a Campbell or a Merling while adding to our coffer of picks. Lots of flexability here, IMO.
  21. We can't do that!! What about the cold weather aspect of drafting?
  22. It's about impact, my friend. Do you want to be "decent" across the board or make an impact? Getting Gholston or any of the other "top 5" types impacts immediately. I'm all for it.
