  1. I don't know what it would take to get him, but if you believe he'd be the difference maker, what price is too high? If I need to throw in a testi, pass the numbing agent and some scissors.....get Fed Ex on the horn and warn Wisconsin, they're gonna have a ball.
  2. While I absolutely agree this will never go down, it's not for the same reason as letting Clements walk. Favre's impact on the Bills, even at this stage of his career, would FAR exceed whatever contributions a CB would have, even in his prime. Not even close. I understand the Packers wanting to move on because of Favre's offseason "fickleness", but a team, the Bills specifically, who have not tasted playoff football for what seems an eternity and has the oppurtunity to acquire an all-time great who still has game, you make every attempt to get him. Hey Ralph, before you check out, make a phone call. At the very least, inquire. Show me you want to win NOW. This move just might do it. What's to lose?
  3. PTR, I understand your stance. I also understand the risk of "losing" TE. BF's play last year, arguably the best of his career, was nothing short of great. Do we run the risk of him falling off so far that it's a colossal mistake? I don't pretend to know that, but the fall would be mighty steep. Too steep for it to happen overnight, IMO. Here it is for me. He's got a lot of Jim Kelly in him and he WANTS to play. He is exactly what this team needs. A proven leader and winner. Someone to show the youngin's how to get it done. We're close. I want to see us win a championship. He just might be our ticket. I'd do it. Too bad it won't happen for one reason or another.
  4. Bingo. You could argue that you want to stay the course and not delay the growth of TE, but lets face it, it's about the here and now. If you don't think BF makes us much better you're only kidding yourself. To me, if we stay the course, we're a playoff entrant next year. Trade for BF and I think you're a lock this year and next with a QB who can go toe-to-toe with the likes of Brady and Manning. A QB, who if you're D can make that all important stop or two in the critical moment, can march you down the field on his shoulders and will us to a playoff win. Is this crazy? Maybe it is. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.
  5. He was outstanding last year. Look, I think TE has a bright future, I really do, but Favre could step right in and give us that swagger of a champion. From his physical abilities to his mental toughness, he'd be an instant upgrade. I believe we could be a force the next 2 years with him leading the way.
  6. Did you happen to see BF play last year. Quite productive, wouldn't you say? The pieces in Baltimore are clearly not as good as Buffalo's. Including the OL, the only edge the Ravens have is at TE, even then Heap can't stay on the field.
  7. It seems most here think the Bills are on the verge of a playoff run, right? Couldn't Favre be that "piece" to put us over the top? Lets assume good health in all key areas for arguments sake. Aren't we really just an experienced QB away from playing with the big boys? I'm going to assume a lot here.......just for giggles. 1) Stroud improves us immeasurably on D making all factions around him better. 2) The OL becomes an even more cohesive unit and builds on last years successes 3) The tall, rangy redzone target now on board in Hardy. 4) STs....nuff said 5) ML prepared to become that 3 down RB possessing all you'd want your RB to be. (ala TT) Yeah, put me on the list of those who think Favre would accelerate the process to success. Not to mention the refreshing fire it would light under his a$$. He would thrive in this type of " I'll show you all" situation. I'm not trying to crusade here, though it might seem that way to some of you. Just speculating.
  8. Baltimore is more attractive than Buffalo?!!? From a team standpoint?!?!?! Tampa Bay as well?!?!?! If you just went up and down the rosters (removing homer glasses), wouldn't you say Buffalo has a more attractive roster? I would. I know Favre aint comin' here, but I'm just sayin'.........
  9. So, the career finally caught up with the arm. So long, Shelly.
  10. As funny as this is.......I'd LOVE Favre on the Bills this season. Imagine that.
  11. The Yanks just won two in a row over the Sox....WOO HOO............you're right, inkman.
  12. What are they now, soft core Bills fans? I'm not looking for recruits. I'd rather have the passion of 100 true blue Bills fans than a 1,000 converts. What's to stop them from their nomadic ways? ****************************************************** Don't let the onetime Pats fan back....don't need nor want him.
  13. I don't get the love Jville garners. Therre is nothing on this team that even remotely scares me. Adding Porter? Big deal. Their drafting of DL to be coached by Greggy? Meh. The loss of Stroud is not a plus, right? I know they give Indy fits, but they're a division opponent. That's the way it works. Indy wins this division easily as usual. The only thing more boring than the Jags is the perrenial love bestowed upon them year after after after year after year..... Regarding Seattle, I agree with the above, Seattle, though flawed, could win this division easily. They won't have much to beat out in their division. Having said this, Buffalo beats Seahawks and will find a way to lose to the Jags.
  14. If he resides there, isn't that punishment enough?
  15. To the major players in this thread, thank you. I can't remember continually laughing thru a thread like this before.
  16. Moorman. He won't make the Pro Bowl due to a lack of attempts.
  17. There are several good candidates, but I keep coming back to Lynch. I believe he was primed for a great season prior to his "episode", but I have a feeling he'll have a keener focus which will translate to what could amount to a very special individual season.
  18. One of the K-Tel albums. Can't remember which one, though. Rest assured it had an Elton John tune on it, as they all did. This one had "Someone saved my life Tonight".
  19. Hey.....this Cotton Fitzsimmons is no Al Attles.
  20. And you think the gentleman in your avatar is snakebit...........
  21. You shall get your wish. These are the Bills. Everything is secondary. Including winning.
  22. Very cool.....I'm sorry I missed this.....and also for being a d-bag. good luck, scribo!
  23. Bring in all 3....I love double stuffed oreos.
  24. I'm right here...thanks for your concern.....and good luck with whatever the hell you're looking to win.....is it a "where's waldo thingy?
