Good start to the offseason. Now hire Norv as soon as his ass gets canned. (OC) What the hell.....Ask Jimmy J. to come back and run the show. If you can't beat 'em....hire 'em.

And with the 10th pick in the 2012 draft,
stinky finger replied to rocwocka's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This 10th overall selection.....this football player.....must be good.....real good. He must also contribute immediately. This football player must be a difference maker. Lets hope the remainder of the draft produces others that follow this mold of difference making goodness. -
A Few Thoughts About The Game
stinky finger replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bill.....Happy New Year to you and yours! Thanks for your weekly takes.....I enjoy them muchly. First, I praise Gaily (haven't done that much this season) for handling SJ the way he did. He had to do this. I hope he gets it now, not eventually, now. I want to re-sign him for sure. I just hope he gets it together. Kelsay good on paper? DOn't know what that one means, but not good on the field for sure. Time to move on from this less than mediocre player. I don't know if Fitz has an injury but my wish for the offseason is to get Fitz help. A big time WR to go along side SJ. Sprinkle in CHandler at TE, Nelson/Jones on multi WR looks. I like that. Though Fitz will never be elite, I feel we can win with him. I know he has struggled but our D has to be a priority overall. Not QB. The thought of having FJ and CJ together, healthy and signed intrigues me. Don't know how realistic this is but would love to see it. OLB is a major priority as you say. OL? Well, we can't possibly fix everything at once but there are enough pieces to piece together an adequete line. Depth must be had. People, we're just not very good. Let's hope for a real good offseason and draft and pray that our hopefuls from this past offseason mature and take the next step. I'm ever so cautiously optimistic. Peace! -
Society thanks you!

Mike Pereira: Gruden is a “blowhard”
stinky finger replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I. don't think he's as bad in the booth as most think and feel he's a better coach than most give him credit for. Not my favorite in either category, however -

Lets be honest, this organization hasn't exactly set the (lum)bar to high. -
what to root for this weekend
stinky finger replied to section122's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some here think that if you talk....*gasp*....draft position prior to the games being over, you're somehow less of a fan. BULLCOOKIES!! I will be rooting so very hard for Buffalo vs my numero uno most hated team, the Pats*!! That said, I live in reality and therefore will look to the possibilities of the aftermath most likely to occur. Looking ahead and figuring the most profitable place in which to draft is not only reasonable but prudent. Yes, it matters if you're picking 9th or 13th. At least it does to me and I think many others. It's in our teams' best interest. Does it make us any less a fan? Nope, not the least bit. The reality is we're not a good team and we're looking at the oppurtunity and possibilties of how someday we can better our team. Hoping for a higher draft pick is favorable. -

lol.............the latter.

Given the choice, I'd go Blackmon too. Get that ultra talent in place then address the QB position. Just adding that WR makes your present QB better. What a nice array of targets should we re-sign Stevie. What round do we take an OC?

This Sunday @ Foxboro

You find me sulking, ranting, or kicking anything. My expectations don't warrant such behavior, not that high expectations would. Btw, I crossed you off my Xmas list. The price of mediocrity has apparently gone through the roof. Enjoy the game. I always wondered......what's with the PTR after every post? I mean, I get why Rembrandt signs his paintings, they're works of art. -
Mike Pereira: Gruden is a “blowhard”
stinky finger replied to papazoid's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. Pereira is arrogant and useless. What's the point of showcasing this guy? I'd rather his cronies know the rules. He offers nothing to a broadcast. It drives me nuts when they go to him. I want to know the rules or at least have a better understanding of them. What I don't want is the opinion of what this pompous ass has seen. Hardly objective. -

I respect your opinion but you can have this flimsy assessment back if you'd like.

A Baltimore Perspective On Lee Evans !!

terriffic post -
Very impressive! However, I don't trust him. I don't get a good vibe about Braylon. I've seen too many "look at me moments" and too many inconsistancies. Too many routine drops. He's not that good.

So the offense is more diversified, granted. The team will not advance as presently con stituted. I love the player (Julio Jones), it just seems that when you're constructing a team to combat a perrenial winner, a SB champ, a team with one of those once in a generation QB's, you do all you can do to battle their strength. We've all seen the likes of Brady, Manning, etc look awfully mortal when you construct a defensive gameplan designed to rock their comfort level. That's the approach the Falcon's should adhere to instead of beating the master at his plan. Not likely gonna work. Just my opinion, Joe 6. Happy New Year! -

If they were so against it, they should have made a defensive stop. They did have a say in the outcome, did they not? I'll go back to this. What do these #'s do for the TEAM? Terriffic WR? No doubt, but not what they need to accomplish the ultimate goal. Their philoshophy seems skewed. They want to outscore the Saints. That hasn't worked in the two games thus far and won't happen should they meet again. Want to beat the Brady's , Manning's, Rodgers, Bree's of the world? Get in their face...defensively. The Falcons had a good offense before Jones. Perhaps more defensive help would have been a more prudent call. It's difficult to beat the Saints at their own game. The trade to get Jones was ill-advised as I see it. -

Yes, SB. You don't make that caliber trade unless you think THAT player is the missing piece. Otherwise, it goes down as a failure. I'm guessing they could have done better for the team had they not done this deal. No, I know they could have. This team isnt capable of winning a SB. -
