  1. Nope, because the Patsies didn't stand a chance WITH him!
  2. OK, I just had to join with other smart asses. What can I say? Just bored waiting for the Bills to kick some PattyArse! Bills 24 Pats 20! B)
  3. Opinions are like.......well you know, and I don't much give a crap about those of a writer for the Patriot Ledger. Surely, one can just as easily call their pick of Ben Watson a waste, albeit in hindsight. BTW, I've seen this said about a blue chip offensive or defensive lineman instead of McGahee, but who would that have been? The Bills wanted Kelsey, and decided to gamble that he would be there when they picked second. They got him anyway. So I'm not exactly sure who we should have picked, but I would like to know who this high impact guy would have been. With a bit more time, the pick will prove quite worthwhile.
  4. Your post seems to assume that all 13 players brought in this week were OTs. I don't see any reason to assume that. Perhaps this guy Campos was the only OT out of the 13 and all the rest were at center and guard.
  5. You already getting your excuse set up for when the Bills spank your asses??!!
  6. Sadly, once the polar ice caps have melted, this discussion will be irrelevant. But hey, we have to be sure that those with investments in fossil fuel reserves are able to burn every drop remaining in their reserves before we can do something intelligent about global warming and the environment generally.
  7. Figures though, the guy gettin' some while driving was staying in his own lane, and it was the other idiot who hit them head on. So the entire article focuses on the fact that the couple, who were in their proper lane, were apparently having dangerous and indecent sex while only the last line mentions that the a-hole who veered into their lane was probably distracted or asleep at the wheel. Maybe this was just God's way of punishing the couple for fornicating in their car?
  8. ROTFLMAO!! Simon, that was hilarious and a great point, too! God I needed that this morning! Very true Simon. I like Bill, but he has become compulsive on this issue. He is as obsessed with Mike Williams as Foxboro Mike is with Bledsoe! Simon, this is the key. There is NO patience in this fan base whatsoever. It is much easier to simply ignore the monumental task that it was to right this ship from the mess in which Butler left us and scream about the record and look for someone to blame that we aren't contenders yet. The other thing people cannot separate is this season from the last year and a half. Yes we are 0-2 so far when we could just as easily be 2-0. Yes the offense is still struggling but NOT for the same reasons they have under the previous coach. This offense is NEW. It needs time to be honed a bit and to get everyone in synch. That is the way it is. You change coaches, install a new offense and it takes a little time to get it firing all cylinders under live competition with defenses that are gameplanned against you. As much as Bledsoe has struggled under the old regime, he has improved his efficiency already this year. This offense is on the verge of breaking out with a dominating performance. I still believe that the Bils are going to come out and whip New England this week, and they will score points doing it.
  9. Depends. Are they playing during hurricane #5?!! I couldn't believe the slop they were playing in last night. God that looked awful, especially with that muddy dirt infield! For the game in Buffalo, I say 17-10 Bills.
  10. That should be easy, he need merely hold up a mirror.
  11. Are you kidding? It was all Drew's fault. If we could have just played Mattews in that game, we would have won!
  12. Ummm, I believe that was 1 1/2 seasons not 2 1/2, and I explain it with poor offensive scheme and coaching, and a lot poor play around him.
  13. Ooops, make that three sacks!
  14. In the first half against Jax, Steve McNair went 12-18 for 94 yards and an INT. Oh and Mr. Mobile has been sacked twice. For those of you following along, that is a 56.2 QB rating and a 5.2 YPA score. Oh yeah, and they only managed two field goals. NAHHHHH! It was Drew!
  15. OK, how' bout Sir Larry? Sorry if I did not get the humor in your post. It is VERY difficult to pick up subtle humor and sarcasm from a computer screen. I always try to put the HTML tags of [humor] [/humor] or [sarcasm] [/sarcasm] around the words to signal the intended spin. Unless of course you are like Hogboy and you are trying to get a rise out of people just for the fun of it!
  16. Really? I guess this assessment is based on the what? That these two guys would actually be BETTER with the Bills than the teams for which they currently play? Otherwise, how could they have been better choices based on their play so far this year. Garcia, for all the money he is making, is dead last in virtually every category upon which a QB is judged (with Drew's stats in parens for comparison). His QB rating is an abysmal 42.2 (86.3). His yards per attempt YPA is an abysmal 4.92 (7.02). His completion percentage is an abysmal 45.1 (60). Yeah, we should have definitely signed him instead of Drew. I'm sure he would be so much better with the Bills. Or maybe it should have been Brunell? Yeah he ain't much better. QB rating 67.3. (86.3) YPA of 5.17 (7.02) Comp% of 54.8. (60) Oh yeah, MUCH better than Drew! And for Warner? He is only slightly better than Drew in these categories: QB rating 89.2 (86.3) YPA of 7.13 (7.02) Comp% 62.3 (60). Oh and he's been sacked 6 times to Drew's 8. Wow! For those vast improvements, better to have brought in a guy who hadn't won a start in two years, had serious question marks about his oft injured hand and whether he could even grip a ball well enough to still be effective. Oh, and the other huge difference between Drew and those other guys above. They are 1-1 vs 0-2. But what is clear is that their individual performances in no way account for that win when compared to Drew. That is especially true of Garica and Brunell. What accounts for that one more win is that they had teammates who actually made a few more plays or a few less mistakes (actually I gotta say more than a few for Brunell and Garcia LOL!) that led to a win. An even more stark example of this is Matt Hasselbeck, who is 2-0 in his two starts this year, Boy if we only had him, huh? But the funny thing is, his individual performances have not been as good as Drew's. His stats rank him 7 spots below Drew in QB rating 75.8 (86.3). His YPA is virtually identical at 7.15 (7.02) and his COMP% is 56.4 (60). Yet, he is 2-0 in his starts this year. He's been sacked 5 times to Drew's 8. Ahh you say, "He's a winner. He knows how to win. He's a leader." Blah blah..... Every one of the afore-mentioned QBs plays for a team that is 1-1 or 2-0, three with lesser individual performances and one with virtually the same as Drew. The difference between Drew's 0-2 and every one of the above mentioned QBs is TEAM. Oops I did it again. Apologizing for Drew. The ONLY thing I would like to apologize for is the short-sighted and dimwitted desire of so many Bills fans to blame everything on our QB.
  17. You said it, considering that Matt Hasselbeck is just one notch above Drew and his team is 2-0 (which our team could be had any two of a number of stupid plays made by OTHER team members been eliminated. Oh, and David Carr is number 4 on this ranking and his team is 0-2.
  18. Yes that's correct. In Buffalo he benefitted from a top ranked defense that held opponents routinely to under 13 points. That really helped a Flutie run offense that scored rarely scored more than 13 a game. And when the defense couldn't hold the opponent under 13, they usually helped out by scoring some points of their own. Of course, it wasn't until he got to San Diego with a lesser defense that his 22-10 mark evened up and went negative really quickly. Currently, his record in games in which he has played is now 30-34. YAWN.
  19. Are you serious? Of course the media is in his head, they are there every day asking him the same freakin' questions. In whose head would they NOT be. As for his response, first off the guy was VERY intelligent and measured in his response. He was careful to take repsonsibility for mistakes he made, rightfully reminded everybody that it ain't all his fault, and the told everyone he is and will be the starting QB. This is being a bitchy little kid? Of course, had he bowed down with his tail between his legs, then it would have been that he's not firey enough, he's not emotional enough, he has no balls blah blah. So he makes an intelligently measured response, that actually contains a little "get off my back the job is mine" and now he's a bitchy little kid. Keyrist, every time I think I've seen all there is to see in how this guy can me maligned, and then once again I am proven wrong.
  20. I gotta agree! It may be unique and so I can understand why a team from relatively obscure place would like it; it gives them a special identity. But damn I cannot watch a game on that field. It truly is an abomination to try to watch.
  21. Mr. Olivier, If you equate giving a team, even a hated rival, their props when they just plain played well, then I'm afraid I can't really explain myself to you in a way that you can understand. I despise all things Yankee, that doesn't mean that I can't recognize it when they played better than my beloved Sox. The reality is, Pedro made some really good pitches in the 8th, and Matsui and Sierra just went down (in the case of Matsui) and out in the case of Sierra and got those pitches out of utter will. As individual performances go, I cannot ignore that just because they play for a team I hate. Same with that pitch Matsui hit off of Timlin. Keyrist the thing nearly skimmed the surface of the plate, and he barely made a half swing and the thing carried to the base of the wall. Sorry dude, but that is just some damn good hitting.
  22. Rico, You obviously have WAY too much time on your hands! LOL! I will never be a Spankme fan as long as I live, and this is just one of the many reasons why. Here I gave my favorite team's hated rival their props and respect notwithstanding my utter contempt for all things Yankmee, and this is what I get in return. Why am I not surprised?
  23. Tip o the cap to the Yanks from a Sox fan. They hit some really tough pitches tonight. That pitch that Matsui hit of the wall a damn quality pitch, as well as the dinger that he hit off of Martinez. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the other team. B)
  24. This is a very good point. People seem to vastly underestimate the significant impact caused by installing a new offense and the effect that has on the cohesiveness of the offense early on. Moreover, he has basically been re-programmed in a few short months to play a very different game than he is used to playing. There is an efficency that is achieved through familiarity with the system in general and plays in particular. There is no question that one can make quicker decisons when as a QB you have become comfortable with where receivers will be on a particular play and in view of a particular defensive coverage being deployed. It will come, and I am very encouraged by what I have seen from the offense so far, by the way Drew has handled the criticism and the way a number of the vets have stepped up to support him. As Mularkey points out, it isn't like the Bills have not been able to move the ball. It is that somewhere along the way, somebody makes a bonehead error that shuts them down. It isn't that they've been outplayed, but that they've beaten themselves. And he is right, you can't correct being dominated beause of lack of talent, but you can correct the ways in which you are beating yourself.
