Also if your player how could you be his teammate? I know I would not trust him.

How is Ricky Williams accounted for with the cap anyway if the dolphins own his rights?

Dolphins thinking Braylon Edwards per ESPN

Do others think they paid to high a price for Feeley. 3rd pick in round two or 35th overall. -

I do not buy this. If the Fins tie up that much of their cap space on the wide receiver position they are even less intelligent than I give them credit for. Chambers and Booker must already eat up a large amount of their cap space and they are going to use the second pick in the draft on a receiver. -
People raise this argument about Pat Williams only playing about 60% of the snaps last year and our run defense was good, however I do not buy this because he was most likely in on 1st and 2nd down when teams run and not 3rd down when teams usually pass. So of the downs that he played probably 80-85 percent of them were running plays.

No offence Buckeye Bill but I do not buy your argument about Bellichick as Parcells was gone from NE for some time when Bellichick took over. Pete Carrol was the coach there for 3 years and made quite a mess of things. remember New England was 5-11 Bellichick's first season and I do not think we can put that on him. As for Gruden I think he gave that team toughness. I always thought Dungy was too soft and him coupled with Peyton Manning is why I never see a Super Bowl for the Colts. Gruden also brought the offense of Tampa to a place it never was under Dungy ao Dungy deserves blame for not hiring a quality offensive coordinator. -

One of the things that comes to mind for me is how New England has won 3 of the last 4 Super Bowls and they gave up a 1st round pick for Bellichick and how Tampa gave up 2 1st rounders and 2 2nd rounders for Gruden. Maybe it is better to use draft picks on coaches not players. -
Anybody here think Clements is worth 8 million
MrLocke replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given How the Signing Bonuses work it is unlikely the first year would count 8 million. On the average the cap hit may be 8 million and I would be willing to put up with that. -
I wonder how Ronnie Brown fell so much?

What would be a wonderful doable draft for you
MrLocke replied to Fake-Fat Sunny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I actually like Ronnie Brown the best of all of the RBs this year I think he is faster than Benson and Cadillac. I think he has more power than Cadillac just based on size. Also I think Benson is going to be trouble for who ever drafts him based on his past. -

Of the Wide Receivers choosen last year are there any you would prefer to Lee Evans? Even if they were selected before Lee. In all honesty I can say NO and that is because I do not think any of them have the same kind of speed Lee Evans has. None of them I would prefer not Larry Fitzgerald not Roy Williams not Michael Clayton not Keary Colbert. What does everyone else think?
-
Well last year I must confess I was disappointed when we drafted Lee Evans. Does anyone else have the guts to confess? I had a friend phone me and say with the 13th pick the Buffalo Bills select _________. I said Will Smith Defesnsive End the Ohio State University. Though I would not have been disappointed with Will Smith I am happier with Lee now that we have him. Also with the 13th pick I thought Lee was a bit of a reach whereas I thought Smith was the best player on the board. My friend is a big Bucs fan so when Tampa is on the clock this year I will call him.

Also a DT can be very effective without putting up high tackle and sack numbers simply because they keep offensive linemen of the linebackers.

What Do You Shoot? How Long Have You Played?
MrLocke replied to PTS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I haven't played in a few years but my handicap use to be in the 12-15 range. I wish they had speed golf courses near me. -
Yes those may be good statistics I will grant you that. But our run defense that year was near the bottom around 26th or so if I recall correctly. Also if he was so good that year why did we need to bother signing Sam Adams?
-
Congrats.
-
You hit the nail on the head. I hate to think it but imagine our run defense if Sam Adams goes down. I have visions of Greggo's first season here.
-
I have to disagree with you on this one. Defensive tackles are the most important part of your run defense in my opinion because they keep the blocks of the linebackers. Ron Edwards was a starter before and in my opinion he did not cut it. Now one might argue that this was beacsue our defense as a whole was not as good, however I would disagree on the grounds that defensive tackles are so important for stuffing the run. I do not think Edwards can get it done as a starter as much as I would like him to. I just hope the coaching staff knows something we do not know about Anderson as some have sugessted he did not dress because Bannan can also play gaurd and not because he lacked talent. As far as corner I concur and given that it is one of the strongest positions in the draft I see us adding one in part because Nate Clements is a free agent after the season and we will need a back up plan. But I think we are fine with Clements, Mcgee and thomas as was demonstrated last year. However Edwards has only prooven to be a capable back up and not a capable starter.

Who is that one player out of the Draft
MrLocke replied to brihs2005's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Lonnie Jewel, ok thanks. Barron just does not sound like a Mularkey player when you here he does not finish his blocks in the run game. He sounds like he lacks toughness and TD and Mularkey seem to covet toughness. -

Khalif Barnes. Khalif Barnes. Khalif Barnes. I like him significantly more than Alex Barron. Also this is assuming we do not pick up LJ Shelton. anyone know what the LJ stands for by the way. -
