Since the Houston Texans came into the league I have had a soft spot for them. I thought they would be successful because they hired Dom Capers to be their Head Coach and I thought that because he had some success with Carolina when they were an expansion team he would be able to do the same thing in Houston. Also I liked how they beat Dallas in their first regular season game. I also liked when they knocked of Miami in Miami the first regular season game a couple years ago. I also liked David Carr and thought he would be good for them I did not like Joey Harrington that year and was glad Detroit selected him so Buffalo didn't even haqve tot hink about him. So what Other teams do you like? I should add I do not like Houston nearly as much as Buffalo I just have some what of a soft spot for them.

I see Martin Gramatica is still under contract with Indianapolis. I know it is no lock that they will cut him given that Indianapolis has carried 2 kickers before with Vanderjerk and Danny Kight as kickoff specialist, therefore they may do the same thing with Vanderjerk doing FGs and XPs and Gramatica doing kickoffs. Still I cannot imagine them keeping 2 roster spots for kickers and I would expect Martine to be cut. Personality wise I cannot stand Gramatica, however I would still take him, as I think last year was a bump in the road he has been quite accurate over his career.

I like stories like this. I almost always take the 49ers. Fire Dennis Erikson and company and Hire either Tom Moore Indianapolis Ofeensive Coorinator or Al Saunders Kansas City Offensive Coordiantor as the head coach. Draft well sign free agents and hopefully I am in the SB two or three years later. I never actually play any of the games just simulate them. I get quite frustrated, as I find all-pro too easy and all-madden too challenging, Do others coquer? I never take part in the training camp drill as I consider it a form of cheating, as to my knowledge the CPU teams do not do this.

I did not but NCAA 2005. I was wondering if anybody has and uploaded the seniors/ juniours who come out early onto Madden? I did this with 2004 as I had both Madden 2004 and NCAA 2004 and found that there were too many good players. I was getting good athletes in the 5th and 6th round who could start right away on aregular basis.

I think supplemental picks are rarely used. I think Houston may have used a 2nd round pick a couple of years ago on Tony Hollings. If you use a pick in the supplemntal draft you lose the pick in the same round in next years draft. So even if the Bills could get a good player in say the second round of the supplemental draft they would lose their 2nd round pick in next year's draft. The big name bouncing around to come out is USC QB Matt Linehart, but I don't see that happening.

I hope they have something New to tell us tommorow. People already know about this so I will be disappointed if this is the major announcement. I am not claiming it is not the Celebration of Champions.

I have more faith in the doctors now than when Jack Lambert played. Think about Willis's comeback. Also Rosevelt Colvin broke his hip a couple of seasons ago and seems to be doing ok I believe a broken hip is what cost Bo Jackson his career. I should add Lamber retired the year I was born.

Hey I wouldn't complain if TD signed him, but like you say ain't happennin' because of cap space and Posey is a decent player.

I did not care for the player progression at first, however as time went on I got the hang of it. I always get a kick out of the draft grades because there are times when I will be thrilled with the players I got, but get a low grade even as low as a D-. I never do the create a team so I cannot offer an oppinion there. I thought the create a fan option was ridiculuous maybe others find it entertaining, but I don't.

I hope they are bringing in a player. Throwbacks would be nice, but not nearly as nice as a player.

I agree with you on the loss of Pat Williams. I am most excited about probably this being MM's second season. I think Offense is far more complex than defense so I think this year people will not have to be learning a new system and terminology, so unless JP starts out slow I do not expect the same slow start as last season. If this team plays ALL season like it did on the playoff run LOOKOUT.

Welcome! I read threads for some time before I registered early this year. I'm not sure if I did so for as long as you, though.

I am a big fan of Madden Franchise mode I love hiring head coaches and coordinators. I like free agency and the draft etc. I just do not think the draft is very realisitc I tend to get good athletes myself but generally find there are very few good athletes. Also typically the reason I get good athletes in the draft but generally it is because the CPU passes on good athletes. What do others think about the draft in Madden? I also should say you can play several seasons and there be very few good players come out at a particular position.

Damn good episode. I remember Homer being shown pictures and him saying "The Boy" or something like that and the picture actually did look like Bart but they still thought he was crazy.

I hope he holds out. Just so it brings Philly closer to the rest of the NFC. They are going to be so thin at WR now after they cut Freddie Mitchell and with TO holding out. Who is going to be their star WR now Todd Pinkston .

Environmentalists are some of the biggest hypocrites I have met not all but some. They talk about personal freedom and tolerance of different lifestyles, however many of them are not too tolerant if you drive a sport utility vehicle. that is why I refer to many of them as ecofascists.

It's not so much Zach it's just how he gets comparred to players like Ray Lewis and he is not nearly as talented IMHO. It really irritated me because I think he was choosen over London Fletcher for the Pro Bowl and I do not think he is nearly as good as London. Tedy Bruschi is a far better middle linebacker than Zach and does not get near the recognition. As far as McMichael et al. you are right what they engage in is far worse than being overrated and it is probably more rational to hate someone like McMichael. Atleast with McMichael I have emense respect for his football playing ability.
