  1. I didn't like the Bills chances when they went into the Meadowlands with Crowell and Whitner out, but the Bills still kicked azz anyway. Yesterday got me thinking about why I wouldn't want to see Wade Phillips be the coach of the Bills again. I know it is painful, but remember that game at home against the Dolphins in Wade's last season. It showed us one serious deficiency Wade had. I think Bonnie Bernstein asked him at half time what he was going to do to come back and he basically said he couldn't do anything because of the injuries. Injuries are never an excuse as they happen to every team and I am glad to see Jauron is not using them as a reason to say losing is acceptable.
  2. Who are the Bill's FAs this off-season? In addition to Fletcher-Baker, Clements and Gandy? Kelsay? Would ppl be upset if the Bills lost Kelsay given the fact that Denney and Hargrove will be back?
  3. This team has a bunch of #3 Wrs and Peerless is one of them. I think he is averaging something like 8.1 yards a catch. I think #2 Wr is a pretty big need for this team. No question, though Peerless has matured.
  4. I always take a lot of happiness out of beating the Jets in the Meadowlands because of the guy with the firefighter's hat. He wasn't singing J-E-T-S JETS! JETS! JETS! today . Go Bills! Pretty good season considering my expectations for this team.
  5. Moulds was a terrific consulation prize, though. You must admit.
  6. The Jags don't have great ends now that Reggie Heyward is injured, but man those two interior d-linemen they have are good. Stroud and Henderson and I believe the o-line kept them in check. Didn't see the game, but way to go.
  7. I think there have been stories for a long time that Cieslak was going to be a player. I was shocked when Ryan Neufeld was on the roster at the end of training camp and Cieslak was only on the practice squad. I always thought Neufeld was one of the biggest wastes of a roster spot. i am sure others will disagree.
  8. I could be wrong, but Ithought there was a clause in Greggo's contract that if he didn't get the job after Gibbs retired he got a million dollars.
  9. No Cory Simon this year. DT is one of the most important positions on defense. You saw what happened to the Bills run defense when they lost Ted Washington and then Pat Williams. All you have to do is look at the statistics from last year and compare them to this year to see that they fell off.
  10. I personally cannot stand the guy for many reasons that I am sure you have all heard before. I am still going to discuss them anyway. The first reason is that he hasn't been able to win in big games. He never beat Florida when he was at Tennessee and I believe Tennessee won the National championship the year after he left. Also he hasn't yet takin his team to the SuperBowl. Many people said Just get him a defense and he'll do it. Well last year he had a defense and didn't get it done. The other has to do with the lineage factor. I am sure he got many breaks growing up that other people would not have gotten. If he hadn't got these breaks is he as good as he is now? Another is the responsibility factor. I am sure many people lost respect for him last year when he essentially blamed his offensive line for the lose against the Steelers. He refused to take any of the blame himself. The final reason is that he seems soft. He would rather hook slide than take a hit and get a few yards. He seems scared to get his nose dirty. I don't think I have ever seen him throw a block before. Also is he willing to take the hit to complete a deep pass? I don't think so. Discuss.
  11. Scottenhiemmer. i said it earlier in the thread.
  12. It was funny going down the streatch last year because I knew Jake Plummer wasn't going to get a team to the SB, Ditto for Manning and the Patriots just didn't have the horses. Almost by process of elimination I knew Pittsburgh would represent the AFC. BTW I don't think the Pats have the horses this year either. They have a couple of nice running backs and Ben Watson at TE, but I just don't like their skill position players. I'm almost forced into picking Baltimore by default to win the AFC. It ain't gonna be NE, Indy, Den or SD and those four teams are pretty well locks to be in the playoffs.
  13. I do think that the Chargers look like the best team in football right now, but I am skeptical of any Marty Schottenhiemer coached team. We all know how awesome Marty is when it counts. Almost as good as Peyton Manning.
  14. Stossel is great. He has an agenda, but atleast he is honest about it. If only other members of the media could atleast admit to having an agenda. I don't have a left wing biased, but all I ever do is bash thwe Bush administration.
  15. I held out much hope for Everett. It is time for this team to catch up with the times. TD seemed to have an infauation with blocking tight ends. ie. Mark Bruener and Dave Moore. I know it is cliche, but it is time Buffalo got a tight end who can "streatch the field". Plus they are good security blankets for QBs.
  16. Yeah, but you can go from doormat to mediocore simply by beating other doormats and you can do this with coaching alone.
  17. This team allowed itself to be B word slapped by the Lions earlier this year and now the same thing might happen against the Texans today. When are the players going to step up and not allow themselves to get beat by the doormats of the league?
  18. I defienetly would recommend it. My personnal favortie is Jan Narvesson's Libertarian Idea.
  19. I am pissed about D'Brick as LT is the only position on the o-line worth using high picks on IMO. Don't really care about Mangold. I think it speaks volumes about the lack of quality in your front office if you have to use a high pick to address the centre position.
  20. You know what there was one thing TD was right about, this team has been lacking mental toughness for a while. I'd be willing to bet the Bills have lost a disproportianate number of games by 3 points/ 7 points or less over the course of the past 6 years. This team wins those games they are probably in the playoffs one of the past six years. It is the difference between good teams and mediocore teams. Good teams find ways to win close games. I know Lindell missed that kick against the Colts, but people can't argue we don't have the place kicker anymore to play grin out, win it in the 4th quarter type football.
  21. As a Libertarain. I say thank you to Milton. He made universities a more palettable place for libertarians. I am more of a philosopher and know Hayek had a huge influence on him.
  22. TD should have traded up that year and got Khalif Barnes. Man I wanted him on this team. I think he went just 2 picks before Parrish.
  23. I know you cant keep everyone underwarps, but did McGee need some help from the safeties, which resulted in Ben Utecht haveing a big game?
  24. You hear about Patrick Roy. Saying the only the reason he is on the roster is because he is from Quebec? I know they have patched things up, though.
